  Why is Johan so good? (beware manga spoiler not yet fixed)
6 reasons why Johan is a good creepy character (spoilers)

There are always children following him around.

There is an accusation made that he teaches children a game that involves falling off a roof blindfolded.

He is then trusted to council the “troubled” children who play this game.

The fact that these children look forward to Johan’s murder by a Japanese doctor.

His disturbing blank expression accompanied by his kind-hearted nature.

The fact that any evidence of wrongdoing always manages to avoid the undergrad, while his counterpart the virtuous Dr. Tenma admits to friends that he plans to commit murder.

hmm..

He's smart, too smart, he tells people what they want to hear and uses that to his own good, or he takes advanteges from it..

He's good/innocent looking, so no one excpect him to be the bad guy...

And most of all, he's tearing people apart by touching them on vital spots using words...

And again, he's smart, way to smart...

 Maybe he's just one of those charismatic guys. He's good-looking, smart, and polite so he can easily charm people into trusting him.

Though I still can't believe he's completely evil or unfeeling. I've never seen him in action--like talking to people or manipulating them. The anime only shows people who have been his victims.

That’s true, I never really stopped to think about Johan’s mental prowess, he not only keeps up with the brilliant Dr. Tenma, he’s always a few steps ahead.

This is a great point because by not showing Johan in the act of plotting or committing a crime they author manages to leave his role rather hazy. And you’re right; he is apparently quite the politician, considering his standing within the community and that he never gets his own hands dirty.

Also: Ject in FFX rules, nice handle.

Edit: Add, he gives people money to buy drugs.

 I find him to be the most interesting character of all animes that I have ever seen. He probably could be called a perfectionist at what he does, and that is

"seeing the landscape of the end" and creating the "perfect suicide" I am still so mind boggled about what happens in the end.. such a good anime...
