What does Project D stand for?- Initial D

I am currently watching Initial D: Fourth Stage. I heard the leader of Project D said that the meaning of "D" would be revealed in episode 4 or something. I think it was in the episode before the race with the Civic racer, but not sure. I'm on episode 10 now, but I still didnt hear the meaning... Its driving me crazy! Any1 know the meaning or know what episode its in??? I have to know Surprised haha k thx, latez

Just reviewed the first four episodes since I had my friend over who had first introduced me to Inital D, it was never specified what the meaning was. I don't remember them ever saying but I'll keep an ear out for it in the future.

"Project D" woud appear in Initial D Fourth Stage, Nifty... so unless you've watched the Fourth Stage... that's the only time you will encounter it.

Actually, I'm also wondering what it means...

That's what I've been watching. Just realized that he posted this in the First Stage folder though, that needs to be moved.

Just finished episodes 9 and 10 last night and nothing specific was mentioned in them either.

Ex-Driver. Much nicer cars too. At least it's done properly by cell animation, not some computer program. I never liked CGI cars.

And you get a better range of cars including continental brands, not just Japanese boy racer cars or pocket rockets. They have exotic cars, both new and old. I could list them out here if you're interested.

BTW, it's by Kosuke Fujishima so you can't go wrong with that. He's a car fanatic, or so I hear.

Initial D meant first letter D.
(at least that's the chinese/japanese translation)
so like if my name was really nauXolo, it'd be called Initial N.

so I would assume whatever this D refers to... project D would be similar

D = Drift. They like to drift their cars. Technically, that's called power-oversteer. You hang the tail out, counter-steering to keep from doing donuts.
