| One year before, a spaceship carrying alias drifted in Tokyo Bay. Because they hadn't been able to go home, they had received Japanese citizenships. They had been called "DearS" meaning "dear friends"
In order to study Japanese language and customs, home stay system of DearS had been established. One day, a high school student Ikuhara Takeya met a DearS girl who put on only blanket. She fell in on the street because of hungry. He had no choice but to bring her into his apartment. Then he named her Ren.
He happened to stay a night with a DearS girl. Because the DearS was very intelligent and had a good ability to learn language, Ren could learn Japanese only one night with the help of Neneko, who was a childhood friend of Takya and daughter of the manager of the apartment.
