| | High-school student Yota Moteuchi is unpopular and painfully shy, but that doesn't stop him from being in love with his pretty friend Moemi. Moemi, though, loves Yota's best friend Takashi. Heartbroken, Yota wanders home one night and chances upon a mysterious video store. He decides to rent a "Video Girl" tape to cheer himself up, but when he puts it in his slightly broken VCR something totally unexpected happens â€" Ai Amano, the Video Girl, pops out of his TV and onto his bed! Pretty as she is, though, Ai is no demure little wallflower. She's a trash-talkin' free spirit who's totally determined to do her job: cheer Yota up, whether he likes it or not!
