Girls Bravo is the story if Yukinari Sassaki, a young man living in Kobe who is fearful of women. This mostly comes from his childhood friend, the easily angered Kirie Kojima. One day, he is magically transported into the bathroom of Miharu Sena Tanaka. Together they set off on a series of misadventures in Japan.

I notice that the other two reviewers didn't seem to have read the whole 10 volumes. Well, I have, and I liked it.

Based on the first volym, i'd say it's okay, i will update later on to see what i'm thinking of it.

Uppdate [based on 10 volyms]

The series is good, but it sometimes is stale. I think it was totaly ok, but not anything more, i thought there was no real end to it.

In the already overcrowded realm of harem shonen titles, the last thing we really need is another violent lead who punches the main guy for circumstances only she and the revival of Sigmund Freud could figure out. Kirie alone make reading Girls Bravo an uncomfortable experience; she'll beat up Yukinari, a wuss of a male lead, just by saying certain *words* to her. Yukinari says the word "ghost", and he keeps get a desk or something thrown at him, only to be warned that if he does it again, he'll be hurt even more. That's supposed to be the HEROINE of the story?! Who needs enemies when you have people like Kirie?

Not that Yukinari is any better. He's a spineless wuss, and sits there more or less doing nothing about it. Not to mention later on how hypocriticial Kirie is about how stupid getting hives from touching girls (yes, he actually breaks out just from touching them) is fucking stupid and tries to make him less afraid, when it was her beating him up daily that caused Yukinari to become the wuss he is today. Even Ikari Shinji would laugh at Yukinari.

Our villain of the story, Fukuyama, is somehow even a bigger asshole than Kirie. He has power, looks, and the power, and he does NOTHING short to exploit it to rub it in the face of Yukinari. Not to mention how he views girls as his for the taking...ALL girls. All the asshole factor of a typical Urusei Yatsura but with none of the humor that makes them still likable or amusing. His obcessive sister Lisa is no better, and a poor man's Kodachi from Ranma 1/2, except even *creepier* (and cutsier). Whatever. Like Fukuyama, Lisa uses every trick in the book to try to make everyone but Yukinari's life a living hell. Wheee.

The only good character, oddly enough, is the Belldandy-ish, very hungry Miharu, who hails from an alien world where the female population is 90%. She also has an older sister, Maharu, but she, like Kirie, is also a bitch. There are some other characters...an annoying loli, some shy girl with small boobs, and a whole bunch of other lame stereotypes.

Girls Bravo sounds a lot like Girls Saurus, except at least that manga didn't pretend to have a plot. Girls Bravo DOES try to invoke emotino and sympathy from its readers at time, but they do it horribly, and soon after they're back to boobs, pnaties, and Fukuyama's antics that would get anyone arrested in real life in a manner of minutes. He gets beaten up by Kirie almost every time he shows up, and I don't blame her. Doesn't mean I like her, though. She makes Akane and Naru look like doormats.

Despite cute girls, Girls Bravo isn't worth the effort unless you think girl-on-guy abuse is the funniest thing in the world, and I, for one, don't. At least Ranma deserved his beatings; even the slapstick fails to have a reason to exist. Like this manga. Avoid.
