City Hunter stays City Hunter whether it's series, OVA or movie .357 Magnun is no exception (the exception is Angel Heart which is on an alltogether different level). I did not expect .357 Magnum to be anything but a longer City Hunter and it wasn't. Sound and Animation where nothing to write home about. Story, and characters as always had the depth of an ashtray. But nobody ever accused City Hunter of being a deep, spiritual, emotional, tearjerker of an experience. Like the series .357 Magnum is perfect for killing time with something easygoing, neat, episodic, that you will forget the minute the outro song starts. Which is why I'm really into City Hunter.

This movie, has everything it needs to entertain... from action to silly comedy and a little mystery. Ryo seems like a rather idiotic character, right until the moment where he needs to start shooting... then he-s the best. He reminds me of Vash, from Trigun... or maybe is the other way around.

The storyline is pretty simple, but interesting.

City Hunter: A Magnum of Love-s Destination, is just your normal action...er...anime. Good to watch if you have some free time.

This was my first experience with the City Hunter series and it was a good one.

From AMV's and other sources, I expected to see a fair amount of military-esque combat with a small amount of comedy thrown in. What I found was just the opposite.

Ryo, the City Hunter, is quite the pervert. His antics in seeking the affections (and nookie) of every woman but the one who wants him, are absolutely hilarious.

While he is getting shot down again and again, a mystery is growing in the background. The prowess and abilites of his entire team come together for an exciting conclusion.
