Well first off Puchi Puri Yushi is basically an anime targeting towards children. Everything they show is just for children. I mean the story is like a bedtime story in my opinion. Well at first i thought that this anime would have couple of interesting magics to show. Unfortunately I was gravely mistaken.

The story is about Yushi who is a seventeen year old girl trapped in a ten year old girl's body. Reason: Unknown. However even though she's supposedly seventeen years old, she acts like a ten year old. Not to mention thinks like a seventeen year old. So she wants to become a Platina Princess so her wish can be granted. Yes her wish is to grow again.

To continue this children's story. We have other girls who are candidates as well. Guess what? They're princess from the other worlds. Okay that's fine and all until we find out that they all have the same problem as Yushi. Oh yeah there are five different worlds out there, Humans, Demons, Angels, Spirits, and Fairies. Yes they are the chosen ones i assume? Each one gets a crystal flower ( five in total) to activate the magic of the Platina Crown. Yeah yeah that's good i suppose. Well better than the rest of the episodes they show.

The characters: Oh god not the best but pretty good towards children. I mean we have the ANNOYING one, the quiet, the mean, the clumsy, and the unnoticeable one. Yeah good characters i suppose. But mostly Yushi and Grenda (the annoying) get most of the screen time in my opinion. I really didn't like Grenda she is seventeen who acts like a 6 year old. So basically a spoiled brat.

Mostly when i watched this anime i could predict the outcome of the last episode when it got half way. I mean seriously TOO predictable. I mean the blond guy yeah TOTALLY predictable. But i have to say that his character is the best.

Overall this anime will get boring for grown ups. So i recommend this to children. Just to let people know, I'm not being mean to the children. I'm just stating my opinion about this anime.

I saw this anime on tv in the morning and it was the first episode. And i have been dogged to watch the full serie ever since.
I have no complain about the animation, it was beautiful and well done. Especially the scenery.
The story is unique and i have never seen any other story like this. It gives me a fresh, yet alien kind of feeling. Conisiting of both good comedy, romance and drama.
Each characters was given a suitable amount of detail and have their own unique look and personality.
There is certainly great value in this anime as it teaches us what matters is not the outside, but the soul inside.
I definitely enjoyed this anime to the last second. The ending was good and the twist at the end was better. I recommand this anime to ppl who are NOT looking for hardcore anime like ecchi and violences but love and peace.

This is an anime based on Gainax's hentai-tamaguchi-rpg game "Princess Maker 2". The game is somewhat old, so some of the elements in it have been done to death between the release of the game and the release of the series.

For those not familiar with the game, the story is: A brave knight fights a undead demonic horde, and single-handedly defeats the lord of evil and saves the kingdom. As reward for his bravery, the heavens grant him a 10-year-old child to raise as his own. With the aid of his demonic servant Cube, he must raise her up to the age of 18, and hopefully educate her to be a decent woman.

This isn't much of a fan series though. You get a trimmed-down version of the game's plot over the first 3 minutes of the first episode, then they go off to the whole "eternal tiara" plot and there are hardly any references to the game's plot after that. In fact, they really dwarf out the importance of the first battle.

Most of the main game elements are still there, though. The knight, Ganbard, the princess, Yushi, the prince/young officer, Ero/Arc, and, for those who didn't get the hint after the first scene, the demonic servant Cube(although they chopped off his wings, which is a shame), as well as the basic jobs(slightly modified to fit with the new plot), most of the curriculum(minus the "arm and a leg" cost), the quests, and tuned-down fighting.

Still, alot was modified, like the whole "eternal tiara" and non-aging thing, the addition of 4 other princesses(although they do match princesses from the rest of the Princess Maker saga), and the apperant disappearance of Cube's wings and Ganbard's job at the palace. Not to mention Yushi bares no resemblance to any of the 11 princesses in the saga(not including Rei Maker). Oh, and she doesn't eat any buxumzilla, which is also a shame.

As for the series itself, as a big fan of the game series I have some trouble giving an unbiased review, but it is pretty nice on it's own with a healthy amount of "funny" and "dramatic", and even some action(though not nearly as much as the game). The ending is very nice, albeit predictable.

Puchi Puri Yuushi is so boring. The first few episodes are basically Yuushi's training stages where she does a variety of weird quests or jobs for her Princess Academy school to learn how to become a Princess as well has the job to pick 5 Crystal Flowers.

This anime is totally targeted towards younger children - who have short attention spans. There's nothing in this anime to be digested because nothing meaningful happens. Even though Yuushi is supposed to be a 17 year old stuck in a 10 year old body, she acts like she's only 10 years. She makes a million childish mistakes, has a child's temperament, etc. Although cute in their own ways, they're far from lovable.

Although I welcomed this magical world with demons, beasts, dragons, prince/princesses, the scope of the world and characters are very shallow and narrow. The Queen is like some weird quest giver and I don't feel any sort of royalty aura from her. Yuushi's temp dad is a big sack of scary static smiles. Grenda is just a spoiled princess for the majority of this show, the three other princesses are pretty pointless and only serve as a background cast.

Overall, Puchi Puri Yushi is just like a middle school anime set in some magical fantasy world with various races. On top of the school setting, the princesses have to do various "character building" missions to become the Platina Princess. Neither original nor interesting, Puchi Puri Yushi is safe to avoid. You would not be missing anything from this. With a lack of any real conflict, there's no tension in this anime. Furthermore, you could pick up any episode at any point in time and still not miss a thing. Except for the last two episodes which were pretty interesting to watch, this entire series was boring.

This anime is unique in a very cute way - the characters are adorable and 'huggable', the storyline is humorous but also touching and when you watch it, you can almost feel as if your own heart is aching for their sorrows. Don't be deceived, though. The characters are bright and cheerful, not the kind to dwell on sadness, therefore this anime has a very lively atmosphere and it's fun to watch. Please give it a try!

First of all, Puchi Puri Yushi, or Petite Princes Yuici, is one of the first animes I've seen that has made me laugh. But anyway, this is a good show! It's very cute and the episodes are enjoyable. The animation is very good and I really liked the opening theme. The only thing it lacks is originality, but still, I recomend this anime to anyone!

Puchi Pury Yuushi is definitely an anime directed at a younger audience, but if such animes were excluded there would be a serious reduction in the available animes to watch these days, wouldnt it? ;)
Nevertheless, this anime is very good. The animation quality is practically flawless, it is clearly visible that they havent cut corners when it comes to that. The intro is catchy and the character voices fit well with their personalities. The characters personalities are proper and evolve at a steady and visible pace, so far so good. The only somewhat weak point is the story were it doesnt quite advance in a way that i would like until the very end in the series where everything happens almost at once. Even though the last ep ties up all the loose ends, i would have personally wanted this one to last longer and with a new plot direction after ep 26, perhaps a season 2 or something. This anime has potential to be continued and has an established comedy value to back this up.

To sum things up: A very fun and enjoyable anime to watch with great magic effects and some very touching moments. I would recommend this one to any anime fantasy fan who isnt uncomfortable with its cuteness factor.

eventually this show gives the feeling originality died - which is funny (actually sad) since the story's environment is unique and charming.
the show is just about anticipating for the real story since all the episodes are about the utterly boring and flat characters and what they go through in their daily life and it's all so terribly BOOOOOOOOORING!!!!!!!!!!! why the hell did the story had to be in that fantastic universe if the story is SOOOOOO unoriginal and overly common?! *angry*
anyway so when the story finally arrives (episodes 19 on) it is L-A-M-E and *really* doesn't reach the expectations and the ending isn't rewarding one bit.
shit, shit, shit. not recommended at all, it only makes you filled with rage for the creators.
---
this show is actually not interesting but i found myself following it ep by ep.
it is sometimes touching but the plot is mostly about knowing the characters while the problem is - through all the show there's *no* massive character development at all! 8-{
the great animation really helps the enjoyment, top notch animation and sound, this show definitely had a high budjet.
the eyecatches are brilliant, cool, cute and original!
it's a good show for childern, i'm very surprised it hadn't got licensed yet.
in episode 3 the teacher casts a spell in hebrew if i'm not mistaking.

Great characters, beautiful scenarios, and gorgeously inventive magic build brilliantly this anime. I was particularly impressed with the world design of Puchi Puri Yuushi. This "game logic" inherited from Princess Maker helps a lot by giving an excellent rhythm to this anime.

I really enjoyed Sakura (Card Captor Sakura) and Saga (Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar) but Yuushi is the protagonist who I was looking for in the magic anime genre. All characters don't have much depth but that only happens because the story doens't require that much from them. They're all just incredibly fun.

I was first attacted by this anime because it reminded me so much of a popular japanese computer game "princess maker" many years ago. As it turns out the story and characters are really done by the same person who worked on the game. I wasn't disappointed by the anime. Lovely characters and charming atmosphere. The story is a bit simple but everything goes well together. Maybe I am a bit biased coz I just love pricess maker too much. ;-p

When I began watching this series I didn't really know what to expect, I had in mind that it would be something light and fun to watch. But the series surprised me in so many ways I still am quite amazed. The nice (and simple) storyline has different twists and turns and the basic magical girl theme mixes up various genres into a nice mixture.
The series may not be the world's most important anime show there is, but it's definitely enjoyable and people who enjoy light drama/comedy will pretty surely fall in love with this one.

The opening rocks, especially when those boots hit the floor!! This is a meat anime and I am a carnivore. Most of it is the animation style, but Kooooo!!! Puchi and her father add a lot to the show too-deshu.

It is a nice naive anime...
It is a good alternative to all-fighting, or "ecchi-ed" anime (more and more, by the way).
If anyone is interested in naive, "pure-heart" stories surrounded by a magical background (with also a touch a fun - well, it will be more funny once you reach the episode where the rivalry between Yuushi and Gurenda begins - say, the 2nd one)
