| The assasin team finally grew up. Now we have changed roles and some new faces in the crowd. The story starts off great. I loved the high school mission and the first half on where it goes. However after the first half it goes downhill. For one thing the story doesn't develop any of the characters at all. Most of it is left up to the viewer in guessing whats really going on in their minds. The big conspiracy theory is dissapointing at best as the core story is just not good enough. The standalone stories are much more enjoyable.
Though a definite improvement from the previous two installments in terms of animation and style. It still can't fall over the "above average" category.

| This is a great continuation of the original Weiss story, with a fantastic ending that will blow your mind away! It's filled with the same wonderful cast of characters as the original and if you are a fan of Weiss Kreuz, you should love this one too.

| OMFG, it's all over...my precious Weiss boys...well, this had more of an overall plot than the original series, that's for sure...and if anything, that made it better. I really felt pathos for all the characters, even the new ones. Honestly, if it wasn't for the last episode, I think I would have just given this more average scores. The first 12 were good, and quite an interesting change for the whole Weiss franchise, and quite a chance to prove Weiss's power as something other than a mindles bishonen show. But what happens in the last episode is devistating for anyone who's been following Weiss. This is not something to be missed for fangirls, or otaku. Fanboys may not like it too much, even though there is non-stop action...but I think this is worth the time of anyone who claims to like anime. Put aside preconceived notions of Weiss being a mindless trip, and enjoy this.

| Well, the original series of Weiss Kreuz is the only anime that I can say I have seen the whole series of. I found Gluhen to be somewhat better overall, though I think that I enjoyed the original series more.

| Animation was great. The characters were very well developed. You can actually sympathize with Sena, Kyou and the others.
Also, I think this is a must see for Christians. Besides Ken who is Catholic, Aya seems to have his own believe that are very similar to Christianity. When I saw Aya at that church in episode 13 I thought...maybe he's actually...
Anyway, this anime also has great action/battles. With a mix of great drama and great action, this is a must see for Otaku's everywhere.

| those who have seen the whole 13 episodes are the ones who can appreciate Gluhen. Honestly, the designs are better here than the first series, they were given distinction and style, unlike the first, they all almost look alike, they are not that good-looking as well because it depends on the atrist who is drawing it. if you dont like it because of the change in design, then you are missing the point. The story here has expanded here and more coherent than the first because in the first series, the story is isolated unlike in Gluhen, they are dealing with things greater than their past. Everything is in full throttle in Gluhen in every aspect and category. If you like action, comedy and love story, then i suggest you watch something else because WeiB kreuz is a dark anime.
and i would ike to add some more, about the new characters and new line stories, well, you will really get confused if you dont even have any idea about the "drama cds". kyo and sena were introduced in WKG:fight fire with fire and WKG:theater of pain drama albums. if you would like to know what happened to manx and birman and wondering why is it that they are not in Gluhen, its because they are already dead. they died in the drama albums called "dramatic precious", and if you are again curious about the "crashers", they appeared(or were heard) in another drama album called "crashers:knight and ran", and how did i knew about this since i only know a bit of japanese? well i got it from a fan of WeiB kreuz who has her own site, how did she find out about it? i dont know, but i trust her statements.
so those who get confused about the characters and the events in gluhen are just ignorant of the things that happened before gluhen. WeiB kreuz is not only composed of the anime, but it also has mangas and drama albums, you have to know this for you to really understand what is going on with them.

| Weiss Kreuz Gluhen follows a group of talented assasins as they hunt the evil people of the world. Continued from the TV series (which I didn't watch before I watched this, but they do reference it towards the end), Gluhen cleans up the animation, and continues the intriguing story.
The only problem is that the characters are not really expounded upon in this short piece (since they already did in the regular series), so character developement is minimal, though the characters themselves are interesting.

| Weiß Kreuz's second series has occasion to be confusing, mostly when one is trying to work out just who all these characters actually are for the first few episodes. Eventually you don't care and let things roll by without argument. Mind you, those first few episodes certainly contains a school in desperate need of a Columbine....
Much better produced than the previous series, but still not perfect in terms of its budget, over the briefer number of episodes this series is made to work. It is sad that it had to be made under the shadow of the legal dispute, but still....

| I love the story and plots, it's just unpredictable. How often do you see suicides and other tabboos stuffs being put together in anime?*^__~*(My favourite characters are Kyou Aguri and Aya/Ran Fujimiya).
The particular topics about God, terrorists and clones + the top notch animations, soundtracks and seiyuus make this anime a must-watch and an overall winner!!

| Okay, after seeing Weiß Kreuz Tv, I was kinda dissapointed about it, with all its hype. But I was very impressed with Verbrachen~Strafe. Glühen continued down that path, despite being a short 13 episodes. I must admit that I am a little dissapointed with the fan's gripe about the new character and set designs, but I guess nostalgia counts for something. If you have an open mind, please give Glühen a go, and please, all the way through, not 2 episodes. My only gripe is that there won't be a continuation. Oh well ... Better this than nothing at all!!!

| Can be fun but is not very deep and the story is realy cliche. The animation is nice and the sound is kinda nice. But thisone contains far tomany cool, good loking guys for my tastes... The Op is a bit nice in the first part (that sounds like violins being played backwards) but the song is kinda weak.

| I'm not too much of a fan of the original series. Acctually I like this one a little better. Animation is OK, sound is a little better. The story is OK, but it would have been more than OK in any other setting than a High School. If you look at the story, it's acctually well executed if you look at what they really had to work with. I did enjoy the darkness of it.
The action sucks badly at times, kinda like the Backstreet Boys kicking ass with cheesy weapons or sumthin, very immature. Character design is good, but far from great. Aya is the coolest one imo. It's not good and not really bad either, watch it if you don't have anything else to watch. Can't really recommend it.
Arvin_Jei: Plz, don't tell people to not review things on looks, and then give something like this all 10's that's just stoopid! If this is a 10 in animation, then wtf is i.e Last Exile? 30? 40?

| Animation's much better compared to Weiss Kreuz. But the plot is seriously in need of massive help. Watch it if you like dark animes, otherwise stay far far away from it. I kinda regretted watching this. They should have just stopped at Weiss Kreuz instead of producing Gluhen.

| People who say the storyline is so weak they could'nt watch more than 2 episodes...should have tried a little harder. It is true that the begining of WKG is not the coolest thing in the world, but after the first 4 episodes, thing take a different turn and it becomes really cool. First of all the real WKG heroes joines only in episode 6 (Ken & Yohji) and they are prtty cool.
The story is brilliant, the animation above the average and the charcters perfect. This anime is really worth watching...but don't give up after the two first episodes.

| Well, watch it if you liked the original Weiss Kreuz and you like hot anime guys. Otherwise, there really isn't any point.
Gluhen has much nicer animation and the character designs really grow on you. (Mmmm, Yohji's new look is niiiiice.)
The story SUCKS and is the most unoriginal, ridiculous construction ever. Last time I checked, evil organizations don't really invest in high schools.
At 13 episodes, you can barely fit in all the old favorite characters and the new ones. Schwarzt don't show up till episode 10!
WKG is perfect for MSTing, laughing at, and oggling the male eye candy. Otherwise, steer clear.

| i was just disappointed. i mean, this is supposed a continuation of weiss kreuz, so why is so different? if they change the charas so much, why didn't they just take new ones? i don't want an aya who looks so..dunno.
i didn't like the 1st two eps very much. they seemed to be...brighter. it was similar to a detective series. the 3rd ep is better. i hope that the whole series will become better so that i'll be able to like it. i think i'll get used to the charas, but i'll be probably shocked again everytime one of the "old" charas is introduced.

| I wasn't really a big fan of the original Weiss Kreuz, and I find myself more intrigued by Gluhen. Like many others, I don't like the new character designs at all(except Aya), but I suppose I'll have to give them a chance.
All in all, I had pretty high hopes for this anime, with the high quality voice actors and the plot seems to be shaping up nicely. If only I could get over the fact that Gluhen means "shiny". In the end, however, Gluhen is just a cheap attempt to cash in on the mysterious(or perhaps not so mysterious) popularity among the squealing young girl fanbase as well as the ambivalently gay duos(or quartets, as the case may be) of the world.

| I have seen the original Weiss Kreuz and I have seen at least the first two eps of the new Weiss Kreuz Gluhen. Frankly, i dont know what the fuss is about. I actually think the new character designs are kewl. Sharper, fashionable, more with the times. The older character designs are good in their own way, but admit it, being hand-drawn cels, the quality of the character designs ni the original often varies, 3/4 of the time being real sucky.
And with that out of the way....Weiss Kreuz Gluhen is just.......ok. I wish they would get pass all the violence and unending misery and sorrow. The story is still watchable, but I don't know if I can sustain my interest in this anime for very long.
This anime is just realy depressing to watch. There are some really great anime that are depressing too, but depressing in a good way as in there is a good storyline and deep philosophical meaning blah...blah....
But Weiss Kreuz Gluhen is just depressing with no end in sight. And it doesn't really say anything, which would have redeemed a little.

| Before I start my review, I just have to say that it is very sad (as in pathetic) when people give this anime a bad review JUST because of the new character designs. We often say that we must go beyond looks in real life, so why can't we do the same when watching anime? Hating Weiss Kreuz Gluhen solely because of the new designs shows a good deal of intolerance, narrow-mindedness and immaturity. I bet that if the design orders were reversed and Gluhen came before the original season, people would be complaining that the Gluhen cast looked better, Aya wouldn't be Aya without his long braid, blah blah blah. But of course, I do not expect the discontent fans to admit that.
