| Not knowing anything of the manga, I went right in and started watching these two OAVs. Seriously, all I knew was that it was about basketball. So, when it was playing at a local anime con, I thought 'what the heck.' Now, I don't know if this says anything, but when the show started, there were about 15 people in the room. By the end, there were four including myself. Seriously.
But, I did stay for the whole thing. Now, I watched this on crappy VHS transfer, but I think the animation was still really nice. The story moved along nicely, even though I'm sure this was mainly a gift for fans of the manga. But evrything else was just meh. It had sponsored by Nike Japan written all over it. But I wouldn't mind reading the manga. Maybe I'll appreciate this more ^_^

| It's a sports anime. I get the feeling that they skipped a lot of the character development. The plot is kind of dicey. I think they could have done this better.

| Nice little OVA for the fans of the "I'll" manga. May interest people who have not read the manga to find out more about the manga.

| The animation was very beautiful and the characters were interesting. I especially like Tachibana's personality. He's very natural and isn't afraid of showing "some" of his emotions, at least not his anger.

| Beautifully drawn, but that was about the only good thing about it. It was pretty boring, but it looks like it could be very interesting, which is why i will be reading the manga some time. The soundtrack seemed pretty good though. The characters were pretty typical, but still fairly interesting. All in all, i didn't mind watching it.

| Maybe I'm being completely biased here (most likely), but I loved the I'll/CKBC OVA. I've read all of the English manga released, so I had high expectations for this series, and luckily enough, it was surpassed.
Although, I understand how a lot of people didn't enjoy the OVA because it is based after a few chapters in the 9th volume.
My advice is to only download this until you know your stuff about the series and the character relationships, or else it really is going to be boring as hell.
If you're like me and you loved the manga, then you're sure to love the OVA as it's just like the manga, only in colour with music and lovely voice actors to back it all up. ^___^

| I had high expectations for this one since I happen to like sports series. Unfortunately I"ll CKBC didn't really focus on basketball, rather on character relationships.

| I haven't read the manga, so I have no doubt I'm missing some aspects of this anime. But as a standalone, this OAV is kind of dull and melodramatic at the same time. It's pretty(the character designs in particular are really sharp), but it doesn't really say anything special about friendship or whatnot. They only had two episodes to tell a story...but they managed to waste most of the first one and spend the second one playing basketball, there's just not really much here on any level.
The coach of Kouzo's team is pretty hot though^^

| good story for only 2 episodes...now i want to get all of the mangas...the story was about friendship and basketball...ending song was good and the background music was good..maybe they will make a tv series on I'll/Asada that would be cool..

| I only watched the first eps so far(eps2 ait out yet) i really liked it.
everything about this anime was good, but the story is the best part of it.
Another special anime with feelins and emotions in it.
This anime really reminds me of hoshi no koe(short and terrific story!), but this time it's not about romance or mech action, but about friendship and basketball.
