| After watching a few of these episodes, I just couldn't stand it anymore and stopped. I'll just support a large majority of what other people think about this anime (in the negative sense)
A very obvious harem anime of 5 girls ocassionally wearing 'sexy white uniforms' and fighting with a 'mecha' related spirit with Japan against Russia. That's about all that I could draw from this. The most overused ecchi humor ever that can be related to the main character's uneasiness to all the women around him and how he gets in all sorts of perverted situtation.
Plot and characters are only there traditionally. Sure the teacher character is there to motivate the different girls with all sorts of different backgrounds, but they're really quite empty headed and tied very closely to the stereotypes.
The only thing that is good in this anime is that the animation is quite nice, but this is probably only due to the relative newness of the series. However, the "mechas" look absolutely hilarious! lol

| For people who dont like echhi humor or harem anime this isnt for you. For those who dont mind all that I dont think this is such a bad show. All the girls are archetypical for harem anime. There is the glasses girl, the quiet girl, the clumsy one, the bossy one, but I still liked them all. My favorite was Sarasa because she was the calm one. The whole setting and fighting was quite dull actually, but this show is more about the girls and how they try to impress their teacher. The humor wasn't bad either. I laughed plenty of times.

| Now this anime would be great if it were hentai. Speaking of which, what seperated this from becoming a hentai anime is that the scenes are not shown, but clearly its there. Ecchi is also there, but the intensions of maing this a hentai anime is very clear. Like a hentai anime, you get one of the straigh foward story line, and everything seem so unrealistic/as bored as it gets, the ending was unclimax enough, even though the story line seems complex. Ecchi will be noticed immidiately in the intro, even the ending is done too ecchiness.
Quality is there (on the surfcace), but you would have to view it skewed. And sadly you can fall for this. This is similar to Sakura Wars in almost every way, and is even more flawed than that.
making this watchable is easy, don't expect much and must have a high liking for ecchi, and sometimes its just that it is made just for that. It can make you burst laughing, but rare.

| This series started out poorly, but I thought that perhaps it was going to get better. it didn't. in fact it got quite a bit worse at the end with a crappy ending that played like a bad soap opera episode. and the last two episodes, the animation quality went way down too.
The show is basically a harem show, but the girls are able to produce spirit mecha that fight the Russian spirit mecha. and so the whole plot is about how the teacher makes the girls feel special as they slowly, ever so slowly make their way to the russian fort that needs taken out.
Poor ploting, and pacing, and an character addition in the middle that screams: obvious plot twist.
Still, some of the girls were kinda cute, and dare I say a bit interesting. There is ecchi galore, if you are into that.
Not recommended.

| For me, this is one of the worst animes i've seen in recent times, it had a massive list of faults which i couldn't stand from this anime. I will state the main faults with this anime:
First off, the lack of story, though there IS a story, it is only rarely brought up in the series. Throughout the series, i was asking myself 'What was going on?'
Some of the thigns didn't make sense and lots of plotholes here and there made me lose interest a bit.. but i still prevailed...
Secondly, the characters, inadequately developed, i felt nothing with the teacher and the other girls. Even though character designs were nicely made, i found that most of the girls 'love' for the teacher were spontaneous (apart from Asa, hers was well made) .
One bad point is the excessive fan-service, i really should have expected it from the first few episodes that this series main driving force was its panty shots etc. But, this was getting out of hand with most fanservice just happening out of thin air. Even though fun and some of the comedy is built upon it, it really dragged on and nonetheless, possibly the main big point for the series
Overall: 4.5/10
Grade: D
Avoid unless you want fanservice

| I actually avoided this because of the ratings I saw in here, but then it was recommended to me by someone so I watched it.
I loved this. It made me laugh out loud on several occasions.
The animation looked great to me. I seriously didn't even notice CG. Maybe I was too focused on the girls? Who knows?
The sound was really good. I'm actually going to hunt for the OST, and the ending theme C'mon people that was so kawaii!
I became somewhat confused through a part in the story, but that didn't really matter. Overall, I understood what was going on. I didnt like the whole idea of the mechs at first, and felt that that aspect was somewhat weak. I still totally enjoyed the story.
I loved the characters. Yeah, big deal it was based off of an h-game. So was Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, and that one is quite popular. The characters were adorable, and easy to care about. Kimu? The crying girl? She got on my nerves a little bit, but I seriously loved the character design. Kuki the ships protector was probably my favorite character even though she didnt appear much.
I enjoyed the hell out of this, and if you like ecchi series you should give this one a try.
I realize I'm going against a lot of other reviewers here, but I don't care I seriously liked this series. I will watch it again down the road.

| Well, the story... it sucks. But those girls... I mean, how can I say no to them? There's every type of girl a guy would want o.O
If you can picture an even more lame version of Sakura Taisen but with a whole lot of fanservice and implied sex you've got an idea what this is like.
The sex part is an interesting topic for debate actualy. When you think about the fact that the teacher guy has sex with basically all the female characters (he has a special power, and they all need 'it' from him), it makes me wonder why they just didnt include the sex. This would have been a great Hentai.
Questionable story, cute characters, lots of fanservice. Totaly eye candy.

| Oh, well I guess this being based off of a hentai game explains a lot of what goes on here. The animation’s great but the . . . spirit things look stupid, especially the red one (it looks like a baboon). Sound’s fine, the intro’s above average. The story, well, for something that’s based off a H-game it’s pretty good (lots of innuendo but that’s expected) but overall it is still quite weak. I don’t know about the historical settings genre. That’s quite a stretch. The characters are extremely well done for an H-game series but again they’re not up to par. The first few episodes took a lot of effort to gut through, the next few were better but then it went south again. I stopped at ep 8 so that should say what I think of the value and enjoyment of this series.

| for an ecchi anime, I've seen better. It won't top IF as my fave top ecchi anime. However I thought it would've made one hell of a great H series, cuz the over ecchiness did NOTHING and I mean NOTHING to the storyline or character advancement. Unless you want to know what kind of pantsu each character liked having on. it did give me that Sakura wars feel... until the total one dimensionality of the characters started to take over. oh yeah and animators obsesiveness to put elaborate and pretty pantsu on the girls. seriously, this would make a better H anime than an ecchi anime.

| Series like Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, Kanon or Air have proven that a h-game can make a fairly good anime even without the sex bits. Raimuiro Senkitan tries its best to prove the opposite.
RS has nicely schizophrenic female cast: they look very nice but have such plastic personanlities that it hurts. Throw together clumsy neighbour girl, rich snobby girl, tomboyish girl, meganekko, priestress, hot doctor and a weird loli, you get a lot of headaches. Now if this was hentai and they were having sex all the time, who would care? Not me that for sure. But the poor buggers try interact with "humorous" ways. As things develop there is some "emotional" stuff too. Hurray... needless to say when the characters are annoying and empty the feeble attempts above don't help. The guys of the series don't even have the sex appeal (to me that is) and they are as idiotic as the girls (the dimwit sensei could eat a nuke), so no points there either. Sorry, make that many minus points.
The story is so bad, it isn't even funny anymore. It jumps from one cliché to another with a tremendous pace. It seems someone has thought that after there's enough clichés in one work, it becomes original. Rest assured, that is not the case.
Forgetting the horrible CG-mechas the series has, it looks very nice. I so wish this would be/they would make a hentai series Raimuiro Senkitan XXX or something, because I would be all over it. The other good point are the opening (cool to hear, bad to see) and ending sequences (good to hear and see).
Babbled enough of this trash. If you can handle a lot of damage from story and characters, you can enjoy just watching the girls. But for any normal person, this series can be compared to inquisition. Being far from normal I could actually get a kick or too but that was very little gain for the pain.

| Raimuiro (or Lime-Iro) Senkitan is one of those shows that just shouldn't be. Don't argue with this point.... This show deserves to be hung, drawn, quartered, doused in petrol and set alight, and then one can start attacking it. In short about the only thing worse to have come out over the last year is Mouse.
That having been said, this show caters to precisely the kind of audience it is looking for: drooling fanboys completely devoid of this strange and esoteric concept called a life. The fanservice is so blatant they might as well have simply made it a hentai oav, as the original game had been. It is hard to see why anyone would be all _that_ interested in Raimuiro Senkitan as it exists, considering. All that t&a without the payoff....
But then, I forget that there are fans of AiKa out there.... ;)

| A rather heavy fanservice series (it's based on a h-game after all). Has plenty of nice girls, good animation (too much cgi during battlescenes) and some catchy opening and closing tunes. The plot is alright, but not too much to shout about. A rather short series with some drama, action and fanservice

| I really don't understand all the negative reviews that Raimuiro is receiving. Come on people - it has Rasputin! It deals with a historical topic (Ruso-Japanese war) that is often unfairly neglected, since it is one of the causes of World War II in the Pacific. The characters are beautifully animated and the fanservice is tasteful (at least in the fansub edition). The music is also wonderful, especially the opening and closing themes.

| This is the perfect example of why Hentai games do not make good anime. This is on the contrary to other types of ren'ai, that actualy depend on character and story developemnt to make it sell, not gratuitous panty shots. Raimurio Senkitan has just about everything wrong with it- the story is non-existent, the characters are incredibly lame ('if I do "it" with 'onii-chan', I'll get even stronger! Yay, lets take off our clothes!'" and the anime is just plain bad. This anime tried to be something , but all it suceeded at was becoming a hentai wannabe. Even if you like hentai, I'm sure you can find better stuff than this.

| Don't compare this to Sakura Taisen. Its degrading, to ST that is.
I say, watch this if (a) You like watching one cute guy mistakenly or purposely do obscene things to preteens (b) you like watching shitty CG animated battle scenes (c) you don't care about a lack of plot and a lack of hentai action to fill the gap in plot (d) you think "History suxs, Imperialism rocks!"
Why have I watched 8 episodes? WHY?!?!?!? (cause I'm a Sakura Wars fan and I *wince* thought this would be similar, cause the main guy is super hot but it gives me the creeps when the little girls fall on him in provacative positions and call him "older brother" *shudder*, cause I'm a sucker?)
The ONE thing in its favour: a kick-ass maracas-shakin' ending theme.
The animation (apart from the CG shite) is pretty good. But lets face it, good animation alone just doesn't cut it anymore. And even jaw-dropping, super-Ghost in the Shell-ish animation wouldn't save Raimuiro Senkitan.
Save yourself and go watch Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars) or Last Exile for your steapunk or mecha fix.
Or else watch some hentai instead. Even that's better cause at least there's action, the girls are prettier, and they don't (usually) look 12.
And who gives this above a 5?!?! What is WRONG with you?!?! Even the echiiness isn't good echii!!! I want to strangle and KILL every frickin steroetypical 1-Dimensional character!
[EDIT: Well for you Raimuiro Senkitan fans out there, if you DO exist, good news. The Japanese DVD release will feature the "director's cut" with, you betcha, actual soft-core hentai scenes. So this ain't just echhi anymore. But, ewwwwww that is SO WRONG!!!! They're UNDERAGE I SAY!!!! Well at least now there is a reason that makes sense (but may not be morally reprehesible) to watch this crap.]

| I can't believe I sat through most (not all, just couldn't) of this frankly rubbish show.
Straight off the bat things don't bode well. The character designs are alright but the quality often swings from passable to crap. The animation is nothing to write home about either. In fact the fight scenes are just downright awful with lots of repeated frames and retarded fight choreography.
Everything is so paint-by-numbers from the cliched characters, the straight and narrow plot to the flat music. Nothing stands out except for the times when it betrays its hentai roots. Not that this is good thing.
The plot is just stupid. It's been done before. Better. Predictable and deeply uninteresting.
The characters come off even worse. It seems that they threw every character cliche into a hat and drew them out when writing each character. From the cute one to the clumsy one to the mysterious one etc. And the Shintaro character is just creepy. WHAT is he doing to the female characters?? And man, that Sophia character is annoying.
All in all, a recommendation to avoid. What we have here is unoriginal, trite and after sitting through it I feel a bit insulted. Next!

| Mediocre at best, this anime started out pretty promising, but then went downhill pretty quick. I'm all for ecchi scenes as much as the next person, but this anime bordered on hentai more than a few times. The dialogue was cheesy, the animation ranging from fair to pretty bad, this anime had almost no redeeming qualities. Accompanied by one of the worst opening/ending songs in recent memory, I still can't believe I sat through all 13 episodes.

| Ugly beyond ugly!!! While it looked promising in the first 2 episodes, the latter part has become dull and repetitive. The artwork has become rushed as well, although it had one redeeming episode where everyone takes a break due to armistice day.
Fear Shintaro's sexual prowess indeed.

| Some people are confused that the Russians are depicted as "evil" when in truth, both sides possess the same "evil" power of summoning those Raimus and using demons. So it really wasn't a promotion for imperialism, though the Japanese side is depicted as the "good" side in this anime (as always)... But anyway, this anime is too repetitive, and quite boring, and the characters are cliched and stupid. Not very good at all.
