| The second Inuyasha movie was definitely better than the first. It is more closely related to the series in that Naraku and his gang actually show up despite the entire movie being a side plot.
The movie is more intricate and the story more involved than the first movie. Despite having an average story for a movie (though slightly better than the first movie) it was still a fairly enjoyable watch.

| Probably the second best of the Inuyasha movies, Kagami no Naka no Mugenjou has an actual plot that, while a bit predictable, contains many more plot twists and much more complexity than the other Inuyasha movies.
The story is pretty interesting; it starts out with a bang as the Inuyasha group fights Naraku, and continues on into the main story as the group battles the villian Kaguya (with original ideas such as Kagome saving Inuyasha, etc) and beyond.
The characters actually go through a bit of development also, unlike in most of the other movies; specifically between Kagome and Inuyasha, and their relationship. However, the other characters remain stagnant and the villian is pretty pathetically underdeveloped.
The animation is spectacular, as to be expected from these high budget Inuyasha movies. The action scenes are fluid, the special effects are very well done and blend in well, while the backgrounds are detailed and interesting. The soundtrack and voice actors are decent but not great, as the actors at times perform brilliantly and at other times cringeworthy.
I would reccomend this movie to Inuyasha fans, though don't expect to get anything out of this movie that you can't see during the series. This is more of a side-story than anything.

| the second inuyasha movie stands one step over the first. besides the usual dose of fighting they also put in a poetical story about the five lakes and their treasures. many watchers who have seen ayashi no ceres may already know the story of the celestial being whose robe has been stolen.
overall i really enjoyed this movie though i dont really like inuyasha. the tv series was one of my first anime but the repetitive actions drove me away from it.
movie 2 cant be described as a stand alone movie. it is an add to the series where you may be surprised in the beginning.

| The second Inuyasha movie, “Castle Beyond the Looking Glass” is a more engaging effort than the first, providing improvements across the board, particularly the animation, but also a surprisingly good story/character package.

| Good movie for people who watch the series. I would recommend that you watch a large faction of the series before watching the movie, or you probably won't understand it. The story was a little dry but good nonetheless. Good movie.

| It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but the story of Inuyasha has too many additional side-stories to be handled as being so less significant to the whole general plot; even though it does have the good concept of leaving you during the beginning of when they defeated Naraku. As much as I am not really into this series as being another shounen, I would think that it could be watched and enjoyed by those who liked the main series, other than being a stand alone movie.

| As typical of most recently new anime movies, the animation style is very good. Highly graphical, very detailed, nice colors, etc etc.
However, this Inuyasha Movie has a very boring story and story is what matters the most in a movie. First of all , the plot isn't very engaging. I barely remember it except for a few bites, and I remembered that it felt very corny/overused/too common.
Just another chapter of Inuyasha and Kagome's life of many episodes. Inu Yasha could do without this movie. Not even a good historical preface to the charact'ers past, just a semilove story mixed with the usual Inu Yasha 'charm'.

| This second Inuyasha is almost the same as the first one, albeit with a slightly more interesting story.
Animation is excellent, especially on the details given with the bigger budget. But one thing I still don't like is the slightly different character design from the TV series. Not that it is bad, but it just take some time to get use to the drawings.
Story is like another 100min special where there is no character or any story development that is important to the anime or the manga. There is however a really interesting thing happen between Inuyasha and Kagome towards the end of the movie.
One thing that annoys me is the editing done to the movie. The scenes shift to suddenly and too frequently early on. The transition could be smoother.
Sound is great in this movie, the sound effects and the BGM is nicely done. And the 2 theme songs done by Every Little Thing is great (I'm a ELT fan!).
Characters as always, are not developed at all to accommodate the TV and manga version, which is too bad, as the Inuyasha/Kagome and Miroku/Sango could have develop some interesting things that TV cannot do.
It is a good and entertaining movie to watch, but just don't expect too much as the plot and everything is nothing out of the ordinary.

| (watch some of the series before watching this)
This is a great movie especially if you are a big fan of the series but if not this might feel like a long episode. The animation is the best the series has to offer, and though it's only one story the character development in this movie is greater than any episode of the main series.

| It's everything an Inuyasha fan would expect, just with exceptional sound and animation. Nothing different here except for the movie's plot, of course. In the case of Inuyasha this is not such a bad thing at all. If you like Inuyasha you will like this show.

| My first contact with Inuyasha. That would explain why I didn't really understood some parts of this movie. Maybe I had to see the TV series first.
But, this wasn't that bad anyway. The story seems interesting enough. I always liked the combination of action, magic and romance (not to mention some silly humor) and well, this movie has it all.
The animation is ok, nice colors, good character design... and so on.
The sound: hm... it was...ok too? I liked the music, and the voice acting, but they seemed a little histerical at times... :p
No character development. No backgrounds, characters just pop into the story, maybe because this movie is part of the series...or something.
Well, this movie is fun to watch, but I think it's better to watch it after you've seen the series. There's a lot that will miss out, if you haven't.

| ***Note this review shall be the same for all Inuyasha movies***
Unfortunately the movies do not feel as great they might as well be incorporated in the TV series as story arcs. Totally cliched and adds nothing to the main storyline. I was dissapointed enough at the ending of the series and hoped the movies might finish something but that didnt happen. Instead we get something like filler episodes that happen to be movies. Apart from the music and animation there is nothing else to praise much about.

| well to me, the movie was the same as a side story filler that at least served to push the romance story between kagome and Inuyasha. I liked the ending music and the animation was pretty good. Story was okay but it wasn't anything better than any of the side stories in the tv series. Characters were great, miroku was funny as ever. Overall, the movie is pretty good, and I'm sure all the inuyasha fans will find this enjoyable.

| This movie was ok but it look alto like those side quest/adventure from the series, those time wasting episodes. I really hate those episodes that doesnt fit in the story well this movie is on of those things BUT the action is alot better than the action from the tv series. I also like the animation. If your watching the tv series just keep watching it this movie isnt that interesting unless you're a die hard inuyasha fan.
Too bad my favorite character (seissoumaru) wasnt in it.

| this is the first inuyasha movie i have watched. the first thing i noticed it that the drawing style is slightly different from the tv series, which i think characters in tv are cuter. the fighting scene in the beginning attracted me to watched the rest of the movie, and the whole firm is pretty much fast-paced, which unlikes the tv series. as other people said, the ending is a bit lame, inuyasha and his companions gained nothing and lost nothing, this movie is not decicious enough to called a "movie" and that's the reason i perfer to watch TV series.

| It has the same animation as the first movie and I find it decent.
Unlike the previous one, this one had at least some connection to the series which I found good. There was one place however, which was very surprising for me. I won't reveal what but it did surprise me a lot and I found that thing very good to the story. =)
The characters are as lovely as they usually are so there's no difference there.
The music was as good as I expected.
Another thing which is worth mentioning is the battle scenes. They are truly spectacular, especially the one at the beginning. Truly amazing!

| Capturing both everything that's right and everything that's wrong with the series, Castle Beyond the Looking Glass is both entertaining and utterly pointless.
The good news is the movie starts off with a bang. A big entertaining battle that really gets the blood pumping and got me hooked. It's a strange way to start a movie, but it works.
Throughout the movie the signature humor keeps things flowing nicely, broken up by some battles and sentimental moments. Each character gets a good deal of screen-time, and plenty of time to shine. The art and sound are about the same as the series, sadly no big budget leaps in quality or anything.
The bad news is that nothing matters. As I watched the progress of the first half the movie with interest, I watched with increasing despair as the movie in effect undid itself in the end. Just like in the series, nothing ever happens because everything is kept in a dull never ending cycle.
Even though I'm not quite an Inuyasha fan, I still enjoyed the movie quite a bit. It boils down to one long episode, but a really good episode none the less. If you can't stomach Inuyasha, this won't change your mind... but if you're ok with the series, it'll provide some nice self contained entertainment. Worth seeing at least once.

| This movie is slightly better than the first with better animation and a better villian in terms of Kaguya. Many Inuyasha-Kagome fans would want to watch this movie because of their kiss scene, but it won't be as memorable as you think of it to be.
