Another underrated cyberpunk title.

this 2 hour OVA is from the creator of Ninja Scroll. But I found it much better than Ninja Scroll and it had also one of the funniest English dubs ever. Not only were the voice actors good, they also sweared a lot, even if the Japanese cast used much milder phrases. something you dont see often in dubbed anime.

As for the action, all three episodes were very good, violence was plenty, funny swearing too, so action fans will not be left dissapointed.

Each episode focuses on a different character. The last battle reminds a little of Ninja Scroll.

I liked the first episode a lot since it had the funniest character of the three. The other episodes were more dramatic but thanks to the dub funny moments werent missing.

Now if you liked titles like Bubblegum Crisis and Armitage, this title is for you. Since animation was produced by Madhouse, this OVA has the advantage over other similar titles.

If you look for a script without holes though look elsewhere.

From what I read this title was one of the first animes for many viewers. I missed this title but even if I saw it relatively late, it has that charm of the old school anime and the action ingredients to make an anime viewer looking for something to keep the adrenaline high. Had I seen it 10 years ago I would have liked even more.

Unfortunately I didnt hear the English intro, since in the version I saw it was removed.

I feared initially it would be as disastrous as Madhouse's other venture "Psycho Diver" but it turned out as one of the best and most underrated action OVAs.

Recommended.

Three main character each gets their "story" in this series. The characters arent't all that notable, but the writer seem to have realized it and doesn't stress it too much. The stories go on, actually the worst is first and then each story is better. I was entertained, but there wasn't much else in it for me. Nothing too interesting, nothing too boring. All in all, it's something one is likely to forget. What I will remember best is how boring and unfitting the voices are.

A very interesting OVA, in my opinion one of the best I've seen in this genre. Totally underrated or so it seems.

Corny yet cool and a fun 80's feeling, these are the main properties of this three part anime.

I myself, cannot give a fully objective review because it's one of the first animes that I ever saw, and I was pretty young at the time so I have some baseless love for it.

I've only seen the English dubbed version, the cast for the main characters are more then decent but some of the smaller roles have kinda lame voice acting.

The animation is nothing special, not good nor bad, but a bit aged.

The English version has different soundtrack then the Japanese one, at least on the VHS release. The English soundtrack is very good if you ask me. The Japanese one is on the other hand mainly boring and tedious.

The whole series feels like a unpolished sci-fi version of Ninja Scroll. This is no doubt because it is made before Ninja Scroll by the same director, Mr. Kawajiri.

The third and final episode has a Monster City feeling to it, but it is quite superior to Monster City and even, in my humble opinion, on equal footing with Ninja Scroll.

All in all, should be a enjoyable experience for anyone who likes action animes and doesn't expect a masterpiece.

In some way pretty cool. The guys are mean criminals, doing the police work. Sometimes very bloody and you can see clear that it's like the late 80's view on the future. Each episode puts one of the guys in the centre, the last episode are the best. It's filled with more conflicts and personal things for the character.
