| I really wanted to like this. I truly did. But it's that bad. A fifth grader with breasts that large either had to be fed latabe since she was an infant or had plastic surgery. This would make her about 10 or so. (She's the one with long pink hair in the picture.) Many of the jokes fall flatter than Kyouko's chest. (She's the small mecha-expert girl who's the only one with realistic proportions.)
Frankly, I could not get through this one without doing the MST thing. It's that bad. Three episodes that NEVER should have been made.

| I bought this because, like anyone who is reading this, a fan of ecchi. There is something completely stupid about gratuitous nudity. The whole idea of echhi is the comedy of it, not to get your ‘rocks off’ like hentai. But this is insane…
I picked this up for like, 12 bucks thinking it would fill kill an hour of my life, and yes, it did kill an hour of my life, and I mean kill…
This is just wrong, I mean, I can’t even begin to explain why this is the grosses anime I have ever seen. The breasts are revoltingly huge and god, do the creators know it, and exploit it. Also, ok, so if you have seen Girls Bravo [which I highly recommend] you know that a ‘banana’ scene that is liberally placed can be hilarious and not make you want to wretch, EIKEN did not follow that rule…I don’t even want to go into how wrong and terrible those scenes are…
The funny thing is, I have watched this title more then some of my favorite anime titles, only because people want to see the ‘anime that I dare not speak its name,’ so I have seen this more times then I would like to admit, and the worst part…it doesn’t get any easier to swallow time after time, no pun intended.

I-I've been scarred for life.
Eiken... a borderline hentai ecchi comedy about girls with breasts 2 times the size of their head, is a disgusting, disturbing, and sick anime. I watched this expecting nothing. I watched it over fansub, not knowing what Eiken was, and hadn't planned to do any research over it, just watch for enjoyment... I'm not sure this was the 'enjoyment' I was looking for.
The animation is clear and everything, I mean the show is fairly new, but besides that, the character designs are awful. The breasts, in which the characters either hold over their arm, are possibly the... biggest mistake ever made in anime.
The sound, I hate to admit, is decent. It has a very catchy ending theme. As you can tell, most of the voice actors suck because this is their first time. That's why it gets a 7.
Okay, here is the weak point of the anime. A boy goes to a school where there are girls with big boobs and... then they all ride down a waterslide. The end, with occasional breast squeezing, finger sucking, and vagina rubbing. Honestly, I like anime with drama and romance, so I was very disappointed by this. I still can't believe I watched it... -shudders-
Characters are awful. The designs, the personalities, the everything. I hate all the characters, and luckily they are all very forgettable. Maybe I can get over this terrible experience one day....
Well, Eiken is not funny at all, in fact it's disgusting, stay away from it with every chance you have. What is becoming of anime, I wonder? Will we ever get another Keroro Gunso or Chitcha na Yukitsukai Sugar? Well, I'm starting to doubt it...

| Eiken is a fanservice anime, with an emphasis on the boobs- so you'll know right off the bat if it's for you or not.
Story is flimsy as you'd expect, but the the laughs come mainly from slapstick, usually of a sexual nature. Someone before mentioned Austin Powers, and I'd agree (there's quite a bit of innuendo).
The opening theme is your typical cute jpop fluff, and the ending theme was surprisingly quite pleasant. Voice acting is decent/good, and Miwa Oshiro's voice is quite a nice one to hear.
Character designs are bright and varied- and of course, very animated :)
Character development is minimal as you'd expect, given the nature and 2 volume length of the series.
It doesn't require much thought to watch through, and not being adverse to boobs, I found it enjoyable and fun to watch through.
It raised laughs from me throughout its length, as did the disgusted, outraged reviews that came later. It does go quite OTT (at times, ridiculously so), it has to be said- and so much the more fun and laughs for it!

| OK, I like fan-service and ecchi as much as the next straight male, but Eiken just goes too far with it. I don't think I've seen something that is worse than this for being distasteful. I mean come on, a 6th grader with EE cups??? Then there is the unexplained Eiken club that our hero is forced to join as the series started. He is basically every weak male bishojo game character ever imagined rolled into one. And just like in bishojo games, at the end, he gets the girl of his dreams. But all is not bad, the characters all look unique, which is to be expected from a JC Staff produced series. At least the massive mounds of flesh on the characters move around realistically. If you like boobie stories that make no sense, you'll most likely like Eiken. Just a note of warning, this is one I don’t think that I would let anyone under 18 watch because of the considerable borderline hentai content.

| There are many reasons why this anime could have been better. I think the humongous boobs contributed to my dislike of this anime, but once you got used to them the show was 'okay'. By the way, how many episodes are there? If you could tell me that would be nice. :D
Animation- The animation is very good, not the best, but it is very good. This IS a 2003 anime anyway, so you wouldn't expect less.
Sound- The opening theme was okay, and the ending was very attractive actually. But I didn't even NOTICE the sound effects, because like Little Vexy says, it's hard to focus on that when they are groping eachothers boobs >>.
Story- ... Notice the rating? Here is the story... Typical loser dude goes to a school full of girls with huge boobs, and they all try to grope him. The end!
Character- Character designs were not that good. They look extremely ugly, well Chiharu is okay, but overall they are ugly. Like I said, I would have rated it higher if they had normal sized breasts. o_O
Value- Not something I would want in my collection.
Overall- This is an okay anime. I give it a B-. Why don't they just call it a hentai, though? Seriously, in the second episode, Mifune not only sticks his foot between Chiharu's boobs, but in her MOUTH, and is forced to rub Yuriko's boobs and VAGINA, while sticking his fingers in her mouth. I think I puked at that part... I was not expecting this anime to be THAT extreme. Oh and by the way, Mushuus, if I showed this to my dad I would never be able to watch anime again. By the way who is the girl with a striped green and white shirt in the picture? I don't remember seeing her. Also, the characters were never really introduced. This is really setting a bad example for anime AND Japan. Well this tells me that perverted Japanese people will do anything to draw some big bouncy boobs. They don't care how bad the show is, as long as they can draw boobs, then they'll put it on TV. Bob- I want to draw bouncy boobs. Carl- Then lets make an anime about girls with big boobies! Bob- Okay! It will be called... Eiken!What do these girls wear, X cups? Y cups?! Z CUPS?! Oh... and about the bananas.... does this have anything to do with.... >> nevermind! -runs off-

| Eines gleich vorweg: Eiken ist wohl das mit Abstand fanservicelastigste OVA außerhalb von Hentai das mir bisher untergekommen ist. Ich habe zwar nichts gegen Ecchi aber das was Eiken bietet geht einfach zu weit über die Grenze des guten Geschmacks und, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, zu tief unter die Gürtellinie. Hinzu kommt die komplette Abstinenz eines Plots und tellerflache Charaktere die nichts zeigen außer viel Haut. Inhaltlich bekommt man nichts geboten außer Non-Stop Ecchi-Comedy auf unterstem Niveau und anstößige Szenen mit haufenweise pornographischen Anspielungen (zum Beispiel Yoghurt als Ejakulatersatz oder Mädchen die an einem Eis lutschen als wäre es ein männliches Geschlechtsorgan...). Die Jokes sind nicht nur flach und einfallslos sondern auch noch monoton. Sobald jemand zum 5. Mal auf einer Banane ausrutscht (sowieso der älteste Joke der Welt) und dadurch "zufällig" im Ausschnitt eines Mädchens landet wird dieser Fakt mehr als deutlich. Die Tatsache die jedoch am irritierendsten ist, ist die das die weiblichen Charaktere mit abnormal großen Monsterbrüsten ausgestattet wurden und sogar Minderjährige, Rieseneuter vor sich her tragen die fast größer sind als sie selbst. Es soll Leute geben die darauf stehen aber ich finde sowas widerlich und abstoßend. Das Design der Charaktere ist eigentlich richtig gut aber durch diese Brüste werden sie total entstellt und das erleichtert das Zuschauen nicht gerade. Aber Eiken würde sich auch ohne diese Tatsachen zu Grunde richten: Denn wenn man den ganzen Ecchi-Kram weg lassen würde bliebe nichts anderes übrig als ein weiterer lahmer Harem-Anime mit einem männlichen Loser im Mittelpunkt und dessen Versuche bei dem beliebtesten Mädchen der Schule zu landen. Nein wirklich, da ziehe ich mir lieber den nächsten Hentai rein bevor ich auch nur noch einmal ein Auge auf diesen Mist hier werfen würde. Jeder den das Alles was ich oben aufgezählt habe nicht abgeschreckt sondern neugierig gemacht haben sollte kann sich Eiken ruhig antun aber für mich ist diese OVA genau soviel wert wie der Dreck an meinen Schuhsohlen. Ich habe euch gewarnt!

| When I look at an anime, I don't look for a sensible story (though it can help). I don't look for pretty animation, pretty music, or really anything in particular (though whatever it is can help). I just wanna be entertained. Eiken did that, so I'm happy. Sure, it has boobs the size of..something..really big. Just seeing them made me laugh really hard, but I guess I just have a twisted sense of humor.
Anyway, if your not an overly wannabe goodie, and if you just want to have good laughs at the expense of all that is deemed moral in society, this is a good anime for you. If not, take a hint from the title picture, and don't watch the anime and then act all surprised, like you weren't expecting some sort of oddly 'distasteful' show, because its quite obvious what will be in it.

| First, I was shock to know this anime was release. It was based on the manga by Matsuyama Seiji. The manga tell the same ecchi-ness you found on the anime. Man, do JC Staff dare to release it...
Second, The characters still share the same look on the book, Kawaii expression, nice body shape but way too big breast....(The Artist do mention in his work that he was suppose to design the schoolgirl with normal body shape with D~F cup size breast but his editor want more larger breast size so this is the result....I wonder is this a good way or not.) But if you enjoy the anime, try to find the manga, You do enjoy both...somehow.....

| I don't hate Ecchi, infact i sometimes like ecchi as long as they aren't stupid ecchi with no story :( Well this anime is definitely on the border of ecchi and hentai! The humungous boobs on elementary-junior high students was definitely not necessary. It was kinda disgusting actually to see boobs that big! It was kind of funny though but somehow all their jokes relates to sex. (I wonder why water is a milky white on them?)

| Ok this one is very special. Ecchi over all limits!
Either you like this one or you hate it, some people wouldn't even think of this as funny but what the hell. I laughed my as of a couple of times, it's kind of hyper ecchi revolving round a hopeless guy, who in some strange way gets the girls to like him.
Funny as hell, I want a second ep.

| I'm trying to be as fair as possible when I'm rating this anime, and it's quite difficult with a "story" like this. They really overdid it with the cup sizes. F-cup+ on a sixth grader???
I hope I wasn't too harsh on my ratings but that is how I truly feel about this anime.

| I have to admit...I laughed from beginning to end watching this one :D
I'd agree with most people saying that this is basically a joke but failing to laugh at it and with it, would be a lie.
For the people who question the mentality of the Japanese I would say is wrong and have failed to notice movies around them. They fail to notice that the Japanese use animation for adult entertainment as well however sick it may be.
Whereas as in the West people turn to real action and for an example this could be: The Cell. I'm sure the people who have seen this would agree that this is also a disgustingly twisted film. However no one questions the mentality of the script writer/s because they wrote it with the mind of a psychotic maniac who was abused when he was a kid. They have an excuse but still did the script writer not think up all those psychotic things? A few comes to mind : killing a young woman, dips her into bleach and then proceeds to hang himself through the flesh on his back with overhanging chains with hooks and then j@cks over the woman's dead body. Imagine trying to tell the actors what the hell they are to do eh?
Before I go any further I did think The Cell was a good film because it was entertaining. And I'll stop otherwise I'll be reviewing The Cell instead :-P
So I'd like to finish by concluding, there is nothing wrong with the Japanese people or the anime industry. If you're under say, 18 then you might not want to watch this anime likewise you shouldn't watch The Cell otherwise you may question the mentality and the psychology of Hollywood and the filming industry.

| This anime has big boobies, and most people here say its all that it has. But thats not true, in my opinion its like Austin Powers or Andy Kaufman's style: if you can get past the shock, there is lots of hilarious stuff. Forget story, sound, character development, and everything else thats important in a normal anime. This is a parody.
Aside from the ridiculous inside joke, I think the big boobs in this anime are just to distract people. For ones that decide to watch this, I say you should actually AVOID looking at the breasts. You fill wind that the girls look cute and there are lots of other funny stuff happening on screen.
The jokes of Eiken were sometimes subtle, sometimes hard to notice, sometimes of surreal nature, and often intelligent. And if you are not careful you will miss most, and therefore miss all thats fun about this anime.

Like many of the earlier reviewers, I found this show disturbing/disgusting in soooo many levels. And it isn't very interesting or original in any way I can see. It's seems on the edge of grotesque child pornography, if these freakish girls ages are what they are purported to be.
Some have defended this show as being a parody of certain types of anime, if so, it fails to be funny at any point. It does seem to have a real cruelty streak towards girls (maybe even hatred). I begin to wonder of the mental health of many in the Japanese Anime industry when shows like Eiken, Divergence Eve get made.
*** AH well, here in the US we just seem to wrong in different directions/perversions (violence is always preferred/allowed on TV over sexual content) ***

| If one glance at the character designs has you writing letters to your congressman, you know to avoid this. Otherwise, this show deserves some respect for high-quality animation, direction, and a lively, enjoyable atmosphere.
No, there's not much in the way of plot, but remember that this is a two-episode series. Eiken sets up its characters with minimum fuss so that it can proceed to the mayhem. While the scenario is pretty generic, it's carried out with energy and playful self-awareness.
Some have commented on the offensive proportions of some characters, including a sixth-grader with breasts hanging down past her waist. To me, she and the purple-haired girl were like clowns, sight gags representing adolescent obsession of Densuke, the meek protagonist. Those girls weren't really attractive, nor do I think they were meant to be. Thankfully the romantic interest, Chiharu, is cute (huge breasts and all). It's too bad she's so dull and helpless. Maybe the Japanese like that. The only character that annoyed me was Chiharu's sister, who molests Densuke at every opportunity. One hopes her parents have started her therapy fund, because she's in for years of treatment.
If you like bright, silly comedies, and you're not offended by so-big-it's-silly boobs, Eiken is good fun. If you have a soft spot for fan service, it's the motherload.

| EIKEN breaks new ground in pushing the edge of what is considered "fanservice" and what is considered "hentai."
Unfortunately, EIKEN goes over the edge of "fanservice" and falls right on its face -- into a big boob river -- in the "just plain wrong" category.

| First, let me start by saying that I watch a lot of anime, but I don't review a lot of anime. For some odd reason after watching the first episode of Eiken, I felt it important to let others know what they're getting themself into when they download/buy this.
More than anything else (lets be honest here) the first thing that strikes you about this anime are the number of girls who possess breasts the size of a watermelon. We're talking so huge that if real girls had them, their spines would have snapped in two already. It doesn't matter how old they are either, sixth grade, eighth grade, seniors, teachers, whoever : the point is there are a ton of women in this anime with titanic boobies. Normally this would be a good thing, but here it just doesn't work. First because some of the girls with these ungodly units are 12 years old and second because they're simply too big. It's disturbing. These same breasts also seem to defy conventional physics. They wobble around when the girls stand motionless, they even blow in the breeeze. Evidently, the women have noticed this because many of the female characters actually prop their breasts up on their arm or something nearby during many scenes.
That having been said, there is next to no plot. Basically the anime is an excuse to show the male lead (his name isn't important) getting his face shoved in boobies, slammed into boobies, wriggling in boobies, or otherwise placed in booby related situations. When he's not neck deep in some poor girls over sized fun bags, he's being shoved into her crotch or being forced to go down a yogurt slide while feeling up an eighth grader (no, I'm not kidding).
In short, this anime is pathetic. The animation and sound are about average for what the modern viewer expects, but everything else is just awful. The dialogue is poorly written (or at best poorly translated, but I doubt it), the characters are 1 dimensional, and the treatment given to the female characters is flat out insulting to women. Between, Eiken, Popotan, and Divergence Eve, I'm beginning to wonder what's going to become of anime. May whatever god the animators of Eiken believe in have mercy on their twisted souls.

| Over the top ecchi comedy that doesn't quite hit the peaks. (Pun intended).
Seemingly a parody of Harem Comedy Shows/Renai Games, Eiken isn't quite vicious enough in it's humour, relying on pushing the standards of these shows to the limits of taste, rather than satirising these standards.
Because of this it never reaches the heights of bad taste satire JC Staff reached with the final Excel Saga episode & the second part of Puni Puni Poemi.
However it must be admired for sticking to guns, rather than the neutered ecchi comedy of recent TV series based on H-games.
In conclusion, rather than criticising it's excesses as others have done, I feel it needs to be even more OTT to fulfil it's comedic promise. Fingers crossed for the remaining episodes.
