| An anime that mostly relies on one's love for dogs. I, for one, do not really like dogs especially. So, there was really nothing too enticing about Massugu Ni Ikou. This story is basically about the mis-adventures of the male cross-breed dog Mametarou. There are also some cute dog-care advice giving at the middle of the episodes.
The stories are pretty random, but there are some pretty consistent themes, which guide the pacing of the storytelling. For example, Mametarou's overprotectiveness of his girl-master, Mametarou's cross-breed inferiority complex, and the various personalities of the dogs who basically walk around the city casually. Another common theme is how Mametarou says one thing to us, the audience, (e.g., I don't like that person, 'He's probably a mean person') but acts and believes another.
In the first episode, Mametarou is very protective about his master, so he follows her to school - in order to prevent her from doing anything too excessive with her new bf. In the second episode, more dogs are introduced and talk about love and stuff. Furthermore, they visit a convenience store where the girl and her bf work. In the third episode, Mametarou has some mis-adventures with a cellphone, etc.
Overall, there really isn't much point in watching this. It isn't exactly the most brilliant work I've seen from an animals point of view of the human world, neither is it super entertaining or educational. Mametarou has a very dog-like loyal and good hearted personality, and that is pretty cute at times- but that's all this anime relies on.
