| Animation: A significant improvement over the TV series. Everything looks nice, especially the explosion. Basically that's the main focus of this movie, isn't it? :)
Sound: A lot of borrowed music from the TV series. Those who watches the TV series on a regular basis might find it either repetitive or familiar.
Story: This is where the movie truly shines. It's not as bewildering as some of the harder cases in the Conan TV series, but it's sufficient to keep the auidence interested. Unlike the 14th Target (another Conan movie which bored me to death with characters' meaningless dialogue), this movie grabs your interest right away with a minor, side murder case solved by Conan right in the beginning. The ending was very satisfying. At least you don't have to worry about the routine plot of "Which wire to cut? The blue wire or red wire? The blue wire or red wire..."
Character: More interesting development on the behalf of Conan and Ran.
Value and Enjoyment: It's definitely worth rewatching. A good anime movie.
Action packed, moderate detective deduction (kind of easy to follow) and humorous moments, you won't regret watching this!

| This was a very very entertaining anime movie. The essence of the Detective Conan series with a great basic story plot that kind of sets the foundation for all the bombing incidents
Furthermore, I feel that they put a lot of effort into developing these clues that they left around. Although the story is kind of forced into one direction, and you are pulled along without really thinking why along the way, things fit together at tne end. Although its not for this reason that I like this anime.
Mainly, it is the great fast pacedness of this movie as well as the interesting plots that make this movie very appealing to both first time viewers and Detective Conan fans alike.
Like someone said prior, a lot of stuff is kind of obvious when you think about it, since they point it out so vividly through the animation. BUT I thought the ending was very cute and I didn't expect it really.

| Everything you like about Conan with a touch of Hollywood action. So go ahead and possess the intellect of an adult while having the body of a child, it’s all good!!!!!

| Es ist üblich das die Movies einer immens langen Serie wie eine in die Länge gezogene Episode präsentiert werden. Doch bei keiner anderen Serie ist mir diese Tatsache willkommener als bei Matantei Conan. Längere Spieldauer bedeutet auch mehr Spielraum für kniffelige Fälle und das ist hier absolut der Fall. Der Verlauf dieses Movies gestaltet sich zu jeder Zeit interessant und ließ mich mit Spannung auf den Bildschirm starren. Und sind wir ehrlich: Szenarios in denen Zeitbomben eine Rolle spielen gestalten sich immer spannend, egal wie lange die berühmte "Blauer oder roter Draht?-Frage" schon existiert. ;) Die Charaktere präsentieren sich in gewohnter Manier und lassen nicht einen Moment von ihrem Verhalten ab, welches man aus der TV-Serie kennt so das man sich sofort heimisch fühlt. Ich hatte zwar kaum Probleme den Täter frühzeitig zu entlarfen aber dabei zuzuschauen wie Conan die jeweilige Situation löst macht mir immer großen Spaß. Außerdem bietet der Film einen super gelungenen Höhepunkt der die Spannung auf die Spitze treibt und Alles fulminant enden lässt! Insgesamt ein toller Film der den spannenden Fällen der Serie in nichts nachsteht und von Anfang bis Ende bei der Stange hält. Nicht nur für Conan-Fans empfehlendswert!

| For fans of the long-running Detective Conan series, this was the first theatrical release, and it's nice to see Conan in widescreen. It's pretty much like a long episode, as most anime movies are, but it's well done and well animated, with a lot of suspenseful moments. The bad guy isn't too hard to guess early on, but Conan's disarming the traps he sets and the secondary theme of Ran preparing for Shinichi's birthday make it a good watch. If you liked mysteries like Spiral or the Conan TV series, it's worth a look.
