| This is mostly a shonen parody of magical girls series, and as a parody its fun. The writers clearly knew their target audience and went out of their way to avoid any semblence of serious storytelling here, as every story becomes almost comedic once combat begins.

| This show has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. It was one of the first "horror" anime shows that I watched and I found it to be fairly enjoyable. There isn't a lot to rave about, but Yohko is a good lead and a fun character. The action is ok, but has some good moments as well. It's worth watching, but don't expect it to knock your socks off.

| I was really dissapointed with DHY. I heard that it was really good but I didnt really like it that much. The animation was alright for its time. And the music was okay. I saw the dub and I didnt like the voices much. The characters were developed well but I didnt care for some the characters that much. The grandma really annoyed me. But for the most part the characters were okay. I like most action shows with demons like this but I thought that this one was kind of boring. I really hated episode 4, all it had was music videos, with music that I didnt like. Its worth renting but this is another one that I would never watch again. The plot is too simple.

| I just don't understand why so many people are down on this anime.. I saw this years ago, and it was my first anime movie. I've been watching anime ever since. I think this is meant to be a stand-alone series of movies, not an episode series. And, yes, even I admit, the first one is a bit ecchi, it is not just to be nasty, but to develop the plotline of the movie. I've seen many that are far worse, with panty-shots and more, all for the sake of ecchiness,with no plot value whatsoever. Personally, though, I think the sixth movie was the best, but I like all the others, especially the fourth one, with it's cute videos!

| The serie had potential but wasted it on fanservice and a monster of the week plot.
Even worse the monster of the week plot is so incorperated that some eps aren't even contected to each other.
Add that to the fact that story isn't completed (looks like a pilot) then you have a lousy show.
This is a definite miss

| this is not as bad as some people make out, and it is not what I would call hentai . The animation and sound are very good, and each episode seems to be a stand alone so there is no plot that spreads over the six eposodes. I think no 4 was a music sort of thing. I would say who ever made this was in to panty shots. But saying that, a lot of anime falls in to that group

| I can tell that the guys behind this anime wanted to make this into a Hentai. It gets pretty damned close to being just that. Anyways I found this title less than watchable, and I was pretty close to bashing the people at BLOCKBUSTER for letting people rent this garbage! This is very reminiscent of Sailor Moon, but atleast that anime caught my attention for a while. It's just stupid typical nonsense, so don't waste your time watching this shit. *Sigh*, I found most of the anime that came State-side and was made before 1995 to be pretty damned shitty at best. This is no exception. But hey, if you want fanservice, it's everywhere in this anime. Aside from that, stay away from this title.

| Try to survive till episode 5 and 6 and you might remember Devil Hunter Yohko as an average anime, should you quit before you will remember it as an awfully bad one. I rewatched it for old times sake but it was not worth it. At best this is an average ecchi anime.

| The almost non-existant story of a hentai without the sex scenes is the best way I can think to describe it.
The anime isn't really the worst in the world. There's just nothing good about it.. at all. It just seems slightly sub-par in every category. The "kicker" for me was definitely the music-video episode. The thing is pointless; I actually sat through the whole thing (I wonder how many have actually done that). Half of the music video wasn't even animated; it was just singers singing. The animated portion of the video showed "highlights" (if you can call them that) of the previous 3 episodes. But the anime is episodic anyway, so a "recap" isn't necessary.
Overall painful to watch. The best part was definitely the picture they have of Yohko here at animenfo. Seriously.

| Sailormoon meets Luzifer und Co, nein wirklich dieser Anime ist einfach nur langweilig und somit auch mit SM gleichzusetzen, zum Glück sind es nur 6 Eps sonst wär ich vor dem Bildschirm eingegangen. Nur die Character wissen etwas zu gefallen da sie an für sich ganz kawaii sind, aber mehr auch nicht...

| This anime is pretty funny. It's more than a little embarassing to watch in mixed company with all the fan service and random nudity, but its got some great action scenes along with good music and fantastic character designs. Better still, it's sort of funny in a way that's unfortunately cliched by this point in anime's evolution. Also, be warned, like the rest of the anime, the humor is mostly juvenile and sexual in nature.
This series is representative of a good OVA series if there ever was one, although this might actually speak worse of short OVA series in general than speak well of Devil Hunter Yohko. I don't plan to ever, ever rewatch it again because I suspect it hasn't aged all that well.
Still, it's got one of the greatest "I'm now going to kick the evil guy's ass" speeches in history, and that's got to be worth something.

| ecchi fantasy\comedy anime gone wrong. underbudget sound mixed with a poor story line. you wont see much more then some fight scenes mixed with random nudity. actually it reminds me of la blue girl -_-;;
if your thinking about watching this check out knights of ramune instead, this is a waste of time.

| Well, if hentai is your type, this anime if filled with... Lots, and lots of sensless nudity... Anyways, the series is lacking on the story, and the dubbed version i watched didnt help much at all either. The animation was one thing that wasn't so bad, but the story is very, very lacking...
If you have nothing else to see, this might not be too bad. But who does have nothing else to see?
The action scenes in the series are well animated, i have to say, and the series took a wrong turn, somewhere.
Not for everyone....
