| I love this anime. It was sort of weird at first, but I liked it at the end. I was expecting a little more when it came to the romance part, but I guess it can end like that.
The animation was good. I didn't see anything that didn't look weird or unsual. I liked it very much. There's a difference in Midori when she's bigger. That's all I have to say.
The sound was ok. I didn't really pay attention to any music or songs. The sound effects were all of course realistic. The opening was cute and the ending was Ok.
The story was very interresting. I've never heard of someone wanting to stay by the guy they love so bad to turn into their hand. It was a very weird expirience for me. I love Midori. She was very cute and she tried so hard to win Seiji's heart. Of course he's completly clueless. Then again he's clueless in a lot of the anime. Even though she confessed to him there was little they could do about it seeing the current state they were in. The only thing I didn't like about the romance-comedy story was the ending. I think it could have been better. I'm going to see if the manga has a different ending(hopefully it does).
The characters were all entertaining. I did love Ayase's operations and Tsukishima's movies too. I think the anime was a little too short to really give any chance for the characters to develop more. Other than that they were all lovable. :D
This anime made me laugh in different occassions. It was very interresting and it was nicely done. The romance between Seiji and Midori should have been developed a little better, but with only 13 epiosdes is kinda hard to do that. I wish it would had an ova or another little series about their new love life. That would be nice. This anime will also give you that feeling about "If only it was that easy in real life"(the romance I mean). =P

| Midori No Hibi is one anime which I disagree with the genre that it was given, not all of course.Despite having it Comedy/Ecchi,I would made it out with Romance/Comedy with a little bit of school life and drama.I wouldn't care the fact that it was Ecchi.
I raced this like other animes I've watched(not all) because I want to get the genuine feeling about the anime which I've just finished watching.Well,Midori No Hibi is another anime which you can slap yourself and moan,"dam,I hoped that reality was like that too."
It was pretty fun to see a very cute girl had become your deadly right hand and everything happening now and there during.
I do not have good impression of short animes,13 episode is included.Luckily, after watching it,it was good.
About the genre, comedy is one of the two.Although I did laugh at some moments,
without having the cat appearances,I wouldn't have regard this as comedy.Ecchi is another laughter,I didn't even care the fact that Midori was naked or when Sawamura's sis,Rin,was naked.Come on,I am more into the relationship between Sawamura and Midori. The fighting didn't impressed me one bit.The fight when Shingyouji was kidnapped(any better words?) is an example. It was 10+ vs 1?Watch it and you will notice that while Sawamura was fighitng with the focused guy, there are 2 who were stationery.I won't accept it as a reason that they were scared.
Despite writing so many of its bad points,I have to give it a pretty good rating. Those episodes didn't disappoint me at all and how they start the episode and what they added inside in the midst of the episode are the ones that worthed the ratings. One of them is when they start the episode with the opening window thing,I loved it...Another one is when they created another ending increase your excitement. The Ayase's operation is one and Takamizawa is another. They even made the credits! There are more but those aforementioned earlier are the much better ones.
This anime was ranked 81 currently and you sure know the expectation you will get from the ranked ones to the unranked ones.I am not saying that all of course.Overall, still an anime commendable.

| Evidently a quite common phenomenon in Japan (at least three manga I know of has this theme), the main character's right hand transforms into a sentinent entity. In this case a cute girl. Sounds wierd, and it is, but is it any good?

| An average anime which could have been better IMHO.
The story takes place when the main character Sawamura finds that this girl, Midori has become his right hand. At first I thought that they would give a satisfactory explanation how it comes to be so, but the story never develops in that direction, rather it builds more on character interactions.
I felt that the characters are rather lively and brought alot of funny moments to the show. Midori is your lively lead female while Sawamura is the grouchy male lead. This combined makes for alot of laughs. Besides that the other side characters like Ayase and Sawamura's friend(Can't remember his name) add to the camaraderie. What I don't get is why the serious moments only occur during the last 2 episodes of the anime, i made the anime feel alittle draggy.
The music is rather limited in the sense that the same BGM replays itself many times, especially those with Midori. The OP and ED are average.
Overall Midori no Hibi is worth one watch, a better explanation of the right hand thingy would have concluded this series well.

| This anime follows the adventures of a girl Midori and her crush Seiji. One day (for reasons that have not been explained) Seiji wakes up with Midori as his right hand... which is just completely ridiculous... The concept of the show is crazy. The first few episodes are rather slow I found... there is not much character development. I suppose that is fair though, because it is only 13 episodes... but it could have been better. However, the characters are the high point of the show. Midori is adorable and her undying love for Seiji never fails (of course, being a guy, he never really acknowledges her feelings and wishes for another to love him). Seiji, who uses the Devil's Right Hand (what he calls his right hand) to fight off his enemies, is very cool, strong and confident. The fight scenes in the show are impressive. This show is hilarious and zany, so it is very entertaining most of the time. The music is decent: the opening and ending songs suit the show well enough.
My overall review of this show is that it was average... The ending was kind of lame in my opinion (especially considering it is supposed to be a romantic anime...). The concept of the show is not even explained to the audience at all... at least they could have come up with somewhat of an explanation like magic or something that caused Midori to become Seiji's right hand. Personally, I just feel disappointed and I am sure that I will never watch this anime again. However, someone else might very well enjoy this anime.

| Okay, I have a Couple of Complaints on this Anime, maybe i'm quite bias cause I'm comparing this Anime to its manga. But anyway...
The Animation was Pretty Good, No Complaints, & Some of the Sceneries & the Animation for the themes were Good, The character designs were okay with me, So I think an 8 fits it.
The Sound was Pretty Good. The Seiyuus were good. The Theme songs were Good too, I was a bit bothered by the soundtracks but it wasn't all that bad. I Quite Like the Opening & Ending theme, with Good Seiyuus I think it deserves a 9...
Well, The storyline is Original & is Quite Unique. The Story Progresses Well... But with only 13 episodes, You can't really fit much in there... <_<
Characters were probably good, but they weren't given a lot of attention as 13 episodes weren't enough to give every character enough screentime for character development.
Okay, Comparing it with the Manga, The Manga has 8 Volumes with So Many Chapters, & There was a Variety of Many Different Characters. Because of the Many Chapters, the Midori no Hibi Manga has Much MORE Comedy, & Much More Characters with MORE Personalities, & DEVELOPMENT, Yes, I think the Manga was GREAT cause there was a Balanced Share between each Character showing Development Very Well.
I Could have More Fun & More Pity on the Characters because of the Subconcious Bond I grew while reading the Comedious Adventures with Every Character, But back to the anime, The Anime has only 13 episodes, Less Characters, Not Enough Comedy, & Not a Lot of Character Developments...
Therefore, Value is a very lousy 5 as I doubt I will be watching this anime again, But then again, I Enjoyed this Anime a Fair Bit, So I think a 7 suits it. It has a fair bit of Comedy & Emotions...
Sadly, This anime has Potential, but with only 13 episodes, Much Couldn't be Done... So this Anime is on the average list.
But Fear Not, The Manga Is MUCH BETTER!!! Check out the Manga, & I tell you, The Manga Shows a FUN-NER Ride With More Comedy, More Characters, More Fun, More Development, & Slightly More Emotions *cause the anime&manga are meant to be shonen, so it doesn't have as much as shojo mangas.
But Anyway, the anime, Midori no Hibi is Average... It's basically just something that Summarises what happens in the Manga, really...

| Every now and then it does you good to get away from the more serious types of anime and lose yourself in a world of make believe and nothing could be more unbelievable than having a girl replace your right hand.
Midori no Hibi is a nice little school life anime, with great characters, plenty of base humour and even a little romance.
Just don't take it seriously and have a bit of a laugh - it's good medecine you know ^__^

| A highschool guy wakes up to find his right hand has been replaced by a shy girl. That`s the premise with which I watched this series. However, whatever extreme assumptions I had made from this were unfortunately not true.
Visuals:
The visuals are about average in nature. The animation is ok but not great, and the detailing in the artwork is of a similar quality, being perfectly watchable but never really showing anything to impress you. Since the anime is set around highschool life there isn`t any picturesque scenes or landscape shots - fair enough - but any slight scenes of what could have been visual beauty haven`t been pulled off with enough effort. Whilst watching the series it is obvious that the animators are very competant, but have not made this series to stand out visually, as though it was slightly rushed through due to its subject matter.
Sound:
Again the sound balances out to be around average. The sound effects are ok and have the appropriate tone for the scenes, and most of the musical score is fine too. However there are a few melodies that are very very irritating, along with a few of the character voices as well. The reptition of these makes the sound a worse factor than it should have been.
Story:
Let`s be honest from the start - the idea for this series is no way near as innocent as the story turns out to be. As it happens, the story is actually about highschoolers pining over the people they`re in love with, with a comical twist. And most of the comedy I might add, is only actually funny because it`s so lame - I found that I was laughing AT the series more than with it, though admittedly there were a few genuine giggles along the way too.
The first few episodes kept me curious for more, but the series had became a bit boring with tedious events and uniteresting plot routes. It very much turned into a series about love-sick kids - which would have been ok if the girl-on-the-hand aspect hadn`t been pushed to back seat so much. A short way through the series I found that it had become less about a guy tackling highschool problems with a girl on his hand, and more about a couple tackling highschool problems together. Somehow the adjustment of the situation for the two protagonists seemed very quick.
Characters:
Midori no Hibi was filled with silly characters. All the support characters have an annoying side to them that outshines any of their worth. But luckily most of the series focusses simply on the two protagonists - Seji, a tough highschooler who one day finds that Midori, a shy girl from another school is attached to the end of his right arm. The reactions of the two are what annoy me however - Seji who is attracted to shy types doesn`t show the remotest bit of interest in Midori, whilst Midori is now suddenly not shy anymore and declares her love for Seji every few seconds. As unrealistic as the series is, this sort of character relationship twist just makes it more contrived to fit something that it wouldn`t normally.
Value:
This series holds no replay value for me. It had its charms but not enough to warrant a second viewing.
Enjoyment:
I was charmed by the series at first but grew tired of it in the end because it all seemed so childish. Some people will definately find the series funny - how it was meant to be perceived no doubt, but the humour was not up to my liking and seemed tedious.

| Shy girl has crush on badass, jerk type of guy who fights a lot and is hardened. One day they both awaken to find that she is his right hand, the hand he uses for super punches on foes. Series chronicles their antics and comic incidents. Love triangle involving a girl who I quite liked. Midori's majorly kawaii as the hand. Some of the comedy had me laughing my head off.
The guy softens some of course and wins some ppl over with his hidden virtues. Ending left me wanting though. It could've been a strong series with a more powerful conclusion. Ultimately it's fairly funny and cute, also novel, but mostly forgettable I thought.

| midori days was a good series and i honestly did not expect it to be this good.at first i thought this woul;d be just another eechi series with no plot at all but it is really interesting.
animation-the animation is very up to date and is very nace some of the fight scenes were animated very very well .the general design for the cast was very good midori and rin looked very cute and seiji had a overall cool design and the characters.
sound- the sound was nice it really wasnt something i noticed to much but i really loved the oppening the ending was ok but not rememerable.the seiyuu was good especially for midori she had such a nice and kind voice.
story- this is strictly original and have never seen this been done beore.the plot is simple a girl named midori has a crush on this guy and she really wants to be with him so the next day she becomes thwe man she loves right hand.....lol.ive never seen it done yes its ubserd and makes no scenes but its funny and well shes a good right hand who trys to help him bath cook clean and even help him fight.there is also alot of comedy in this series based on alot of perversion and nudity witch just made this show funnier .
characters-this had a ok cast ive seen better and ive seen worst.the most memerable characters were well midori and seiji because we see them the mnost and rin was a cool strong powerful and hen drunk a funny older sister to seiji.the last character that i liked was the puppet guy he was to funny and thought midori was a puppet .
enjoyment- as i said before this show is very perverted and has alot of nudity so if you do not like that dont watch it because you may not like it.also if you dont like the idea of a man having a little girl for his right hand then dont watch but i on the other hand i loved it and thought it was hilarious.

| Midori No Hibi is about a spirited (I say spirited because as some will mention below, we see alot of shounen romance leading guys seeming to be dumpy, simple, and spineless shells of guys.) teenage boy who one day finds a girl in place of one of his hands.
No, really! ^^;
Now it might sound ridiculous.. I don't think it sounds ridiculous though personally, I think it just sounds weird. But anyhow for a show with such a riotously outlandish idea, alot of things happened that I did not expect.

| *** Be warned, this review may and will contain spoilers so only continue reading if you don't mind the spoilers ***
Midori no Hibi certainly has an interesting twist unlike any other anime that I have seen. Where else have you seen an anime where a girl gets transformed into someone else's right hand? Of course you know what that means, the ecchi category was right. Or so you would think. I am not going to lie and say there weren't any, but there was as much that I would consider it for that category. Another was the comedy category. Certainly there were some but I find some of the jobs not that hilarious or if there were, there weren't as many as I would have like. What I was surprise with though is that this does not have the Romance category. Of all the categories I mentioned, I think this one fit in more with Romance that the other two. The relationship between Seiji and Midori is what this whole story is mainly about. There is also the side story of Takako and Shiori, both also love Seiji.

| I find it quite hard to review animes that I've only watched once (only once if I didnt like the series). But I'll try to make a good review.
Animation and sound are nice so i give it a decent score. This is one of the new animes so obviously the drawings are nice.
This is one of those anime which focuses on character development rather than than the plot. Well, it has a plot (every anime has it, of course), Midori became Seiji's left(?) hand. Only one word to describe this, Weird. If she became a hand and connected to Seiji's body, where does all of the food she eats go to? well, nevermind about that. As I said before, I don't care about plots as long as the series is enjoyable. But I didnt enjoy this that much so the overall score is low. First of all, the characters are so few, maybe 7 or 8, and I dont like them. well Seiji and Midori are okay, but the others are not. I mean the cast dont have a nice "blending", cant say excatly why. It reminds me of the characters from onegai teacher. And this is supposed to be a comedy, but I dont find this funny, maybe just a little.
This is one of those which doesnt have a high re-watch value.

| what this anime does is delicately surprise you, and leave you satisfied and very impressed with its humor and emotionality.
lets FIRST get the negatives outta the way (why this isn't a 10 across the board): sometimes i felt the nudity was 'forced'. like it was totally avoidable to throw some random characters in their underwear, and i didn't really like seiji's sister (soooo annoying), but thats it: to continue:
the characters are rated high cause they are memorable. midori is probably the best developed and cutest/supportive character ever. seiji is also well done and serves as a good counter character (also well developed).
the funniest thing is that this anime dones't impress right away. its tricky, and you feel kinda like seiji. at first you take midori (the anime) for granted; she's always there, doing funny things, cheering you up, etc. then theres the episode where she's gone and leaves (won't say how). at that point, it hits you just like seiji gets hit: omg... they're seperated. and at that point the viewer AND seiji feel, wow, midori (this anime) was special after all; WHATS GONNA HAPPEN NEXT?!
then throw in the perfectly made ending (won't say what happens) and you got a winner at heart

| Ah... I would have liked to have a girl on my right hand... It would be a little weird at first, but then something good is bound to happen.
And that is what happened in Midori no Hibi. As kick-ass delinquent Seiji wakes up one day with his "Devil's Right Hand" suddenly becoming a girl, his life changed forever. Yeah yeah, that was a lame synopsis, but past that is a really romantic story between them and the people around them.
Animation was good for the most part. The anime had some original settings from the manga, including that (now annoying) upside-down skytrain (the one in Vancouver isn't upside-down...) and the park. They took Seiji and copied him down exactly and added colour - he still looks like a Japanese-American teenager with a badass face and blond hair.
Soundtrack was nice. Voices extrapolated the characters' personalities.
SEIJI IS THE BEST MALE LEAD EVER. Okay, so he's a badass delinquent - not many romance anime has this class of male protagonists here (most of them are wimpy lowlives aimed for the otaku they are targeting). And of course, with Midori, nothing can go wrong with the pair. The two of them affect each other and Seiji changes for the better, though he can still kick ass. I'm only sad that they didn't include all the characters from the manga like Lucy and Nao, because they're also kickass!
I enjoyed this anime in one sitting for 7 hours straight. That was how addicting it is. The manga is even better (which raised my opinion about this story even more); at least the anime did not screw it over (like most do) and it's original scenes and endings did it justice.
A highly-entertaining kick-ass love-romance comedy. Some may be turned off, or disappointed, but for the most part very enjoyable.

| For the most part, I particualrly enjoyed this anime. Don't get me wrong, but I'm particularly fond of the comedy/school-life animes. In any case, Midori no Hibi succeeds in the fact that they try to put a new spin into the "schoolgirl <3 schoolboy" anime.
I thought that Midori no Hibi certainly had its moments, from the time that Seiji finds out his hand is now a girl, to the ending. The funny parts were, well, actually funny. Also, the OST, and the animation wasn't too bad (but not particularly jaw-dropping either). I think that the writers did a good job in avoiding the obvious gags (such as expecting Seiji to forget that his right hand was a girl and the like).
I think that this anime could do with a little more character development, but I think that the seiyuus did an exceptional job in conveying the emotions of the characters.
Overall, this anime had a few kinks, but was very touching nonetheless. I would definitely pass this anime on to any eager anime afficionado.

| I just finished watching it a few minutes ago. That would most probably translate that I either loved this one or hated it. As far that is concerned it is the former. Midori no Hibi was very very VERY enjoyable. While the initial plotline turned me off since it has echii written all over it, this was a very funny anime to watch.
The animation aspect is as to be expected. Studio Perrot did an OK job. However they seem to lack originality in faces. I found Samawara Seijii as a clone of Ichigo (Bleach.) same goes for some of the other characters as well. Apart from this drawback, the animation is spot on - it suits the cheerfulness and the energy of the anime really well.
The sound is the strongpoint of the series. While the music (OP, ED, BGM) are nothing that great, the seiyuu are PERFECT. In the first episode when Seiji goes "Nanda Kouryaa???" it cracked me up to end. The way the voice has been done by both Seiji and Midori gives life to this series.
But even though this is an echii comedy, is it really very good? That would depend on the episodes. While some of them are really funny to the core, sime just end up being tedious. Eg. Episode 9 - no content at all. Most of the epiosdes are just outtakes on the complications involved since Midori is Seiji's right hand. While they are indeed very funny, they do not contribute to the story. The main story begins from episode 11, which is much too late for redemption.
Same is the fate of the characters. All you get are hilarious situations, but as far as characters are concerned they sadly remain 1-D till episode 11. It is from then on that the characters are allowed to develop, but by then it is already obvious of what course will be taken by the characters. However this doesnot mean that the characters are bad - Midori is perhaps the cutest character I've ever encountered in an anime. She in my opinion outfalnks Chi from Chobits by light years in terms of cuteness and character. Seiji however is a disappointment - considering that he is a main character, he remains the same till the middle of episode 12. Not a very good job done here.
However is Midori fun? Is it something which should be in your collection? I believe it to be yes. For more than half of the episodes are hilariously funny. The flaw in the anime comes from episode 8 to episode 10. These 3 episodes are the draggers. If this were a 9 or 10 episode anime it would have definitely been a better series. But even so - Midori no Hibi remains a perfect solution when you want some passtime with good laughs. As a comedy this is very good stuff, as a romance it is so~so. Definitely watchable more than once.

| Midori no Hibi is one of those anime that comes around basically every season which straddles the line between Shoujo and Shonen genres to be simply a cute anime instead of trying to do anything new or risqué with the anime medium. But since it's supposed to be a cute romantic comedy and not a serious melodrama, that small criticism can be ignored for the most part.
The show is basically about a girl named Kasugano Midori who mysteriously transforms, overnight, into the right hand of the guy she secretly admired: Seiji Sawamura. The problem lies in that Seiji Sawamura is a punk-busting highschooler while Midori is the rich girl who couldn't express her feelings in front of people, especially to Seiji.
Each episode basically revolves around how Midori tries desperately to fit into the role as Seiji's newly transformed girl/right-hand while going through the daily routines that are now a LOT more complicated due to Midori being Seiji's right hand.
While episodic, each episode of Midori no Hibi has a charm of its own due to its slightly-continuous nature. And thanks to that structure, the show slowly builds up the viewers' empathy for the characters until the final episode in which all the emotions are put out to bear. I must admit that a few of the sad moments in the show nearly got me bawling especially in the final episode where all the events of the first twelve episodes came to a head. So storyline wise, the show actually holds up very well for this type of a show (albeit it might be a bit formulaic).
Technically, the show doesn't seem to skip a beat graphically except for the final few episodes where everything gets slightly more detailed than it was the case earlier on in the series. But since the visuals do not dip, that could be seen as a minor complaint. The music fits all the drama and comedy of the scenes well without being obstrusive or hogging the attention away from the events at hand. Actually, there's a few serenades through the more emotional moments which sounded great and those could be seen as standouts of this show's musical aspect.
Another thing that pleasantly surprised me was how likeable most of the characters were. Midori wasn't as annoying as I thought for a "genki-girl" who constantly reminds Seiji how much she loves him and overdoing her affection upon her turning into his right hand. Also, Seiji isn't the typical romantic comedy character caught in a harem of girls since he actually seems a bit impervious to sexual gravures the girls aims toward him. Also, he's not the usual "coldhearted" or "good guy who is too shy" type of character since he's the type to beat around school punks on a daily basis. The only character who I didn't really like too much was Seiji's boorish sister, Rin Sawamura.
Overall, the show aims to be a cute romantic comedy and it holds up great in everything it tries to do. Except for a few overbearing moral and overzealous comedic moments, the show doesn't try to do too much and it is very well paced.
In the end, I had tears in my eyes because I've seen these characters grow up, have fun and go through hardship as if they were my real friends.
And that's really what these types of anime should strive to do.
