| I watched TV series first then I check this ova out. I really hate TV series. I was looking for something diff and I think this is differnt... althou.. still not a very good one.
Moey Ken is a total copied from Sakura Wars. The story, character, town design, monster, they even got mecha to boost their power like in Sakura War.
3 main girl trying to protect Kyoto from evil spirits was not a original way to start with. Then they got them CARS and armors suitx to battle monsters make it worst. Althou the idea blow, I like the character this time (I don't like in TV series). They finally make them all like a total goofball which suit for a dumb comedy anime like this. Not that I want to bash it, but the ova really have nothing to offer... nothing... not even stupid mystery reason... They do have character flashback but after spreading to all 3 main character, this anime doesn't got what it take to be a good ova. Sry Okita.. Just when you got a cute goofing scene I had to do this low rating review. >_<

| I really didn't enjoy this OVA, especially compared to the TV. The animation was inferior, the music unmemorable, and virtually no plot/character development. No romance either =(
Good:
I suppose there are cute girls in this. Also the fight scenes are more serious than the TV, but I still don't like them as much. Also its only 4 eps so you won't suffer long. I hear it has sakura wars like setting, so if you enjoyed that show...
Bad:
I thought the transformations were awkward and the armors were lame. Also the bad CG mix such as their wierd car was irritating. No character development or memorable plot.
Conclusions:
A big disappointment compared to the TV series. However if you hated the TV series you might actually like this one more... Regardless I find this one difficult to recommend to anyone. Maybe if you are really bored and want a quick flick.

| Quick synopsis since Animenfo doesn't have one:
Many anime fans will be familiar with the Shinsengumi and the time this anime takes place in from other series such as Rurouni Kenshin and Peacemaker Kurogane. The basic idea behind this series is taking the classic Shinsengumi story and adding a fantasy touch to it, with a female division of the Shinsengumi who start to do battle with demonic forces.
In other words it is a Sakura Taisen rip off minus the mechs(but with body armor and a car!) set further back in time.
