| i havent seen movie 4 until now so i cant compare these 2. overall i was impressed by the cool animation and the overwhelming fighting scenes. but the story is transparent again and does not develope any further after about 40 minutes. the bad parts about this movie are that the characters really come short. they are rarely funny and it is sometimes plain boring to hear them talk. and why is there no likeable sound again except the ed. i cant say i enjoyed one piece movie 5 but i wasnt disappointed also. perhaps movie 4 can meet my expectations and im looking forward to see a really satisfying one piece movie.

| Maybe I expected a little too much out of the 5th movie after having been blown away by the 4th?! but it just didn't have the oomph factor I was expecting and if I'm honest I was a little disappointed with this one.
The legend behind the background for the storyline was interesting, but I found the storyline dragged a number of times, the fighting didn't excite me and a childhood promise didn't seem sufficient an excuse for Zoro to go AWOL.
It's still a very good movie and definitely worth watching, I was just expecting something more than I got.
It appears to take place just after the 4th movie, rather than a timeline within the TV series, as the same Marines who were chasing the guys and Merry are still after them at the start of this.

| It's rather confusing me in the first, and I didn't understand why Zoro would attack his own friend, Sanji. But then I understand. I like the scenes when Luffy and Usopp were trapped in the cave, and lots of riddiculus things happened... I still can't believe that the voice of Usopp is the same with Shinichi (Meitantei Conan), Inuyasha (Inuyasha), Ranma boy (Ranma 1/2), and many more (Yamaguchi Kappei). The "bonus" of this movie is so riddicculus (you know, "Luffy Kaizoku Yakyuu Ou") but I like it a lot... Overall, it's a great anime!!!

| Very very good one piece movie!
Focuses mostly on Rorona Zoro, but gives the other 'main' characters a chance to become a part of this movie as well.
I love the Villain, although the ending was kind of too predictable and a little rushed and cheesy, the fight scenes are very enjoyable.
This movie has a great story backing to it. The people who live on the island have a pretty good involvement with the One Piece crew, and it makes this movie all the more interesting
Lots of adventure, lots of humor, lots of action, all the best of One Piece into one movie =]
And best of all, Nico Robin is in this one aha

| This movie has some weakenesses and some positives that are very obvious. The animation is dazzling and the characters of course are the well placed characters of One Piece series. On the other hand, the story seems to be the typical One Piece Movie story, they go out to some island, they kick everyone's butt and Luffy of course is the big man who saves the day. Despite all that, I find the movie still enjoyable and would definitely buy it if it comes to the US. The movie retains all the comedic and action properties of the series One Piece. It's a good movie to watch a fight and laugh occasionally.

| Auch der 5. One Piece Movie enttäuscht nicht in punkto Unterhaltung. Zwar basiert die Story mal wieder darauf das ein verfluchtes Schwert Unheil über die Welt bringt und Besitz von jemandem ergreift um dieses Ziel zu erreichen. Erinnert stark an den Plot aus dem 3. Inuyasha Movie und auch wenn er hier nicht ähnlich schwach ausgefallen ist so ist er dennoch nicht unbedingt umwerfend originell. Erfrischend ist jedoch das dieser Movie der erste ist der uns etwas über die Vergangenheit einer der Hauptfiguren erzählt, was uns in der Serie oder dem Manga verborgen bleibt. In diesem Falle beschäftig sich der Film mit Zoro und einem Versprechen aus seiner Kindheit mit einem alten Kameraden. Der Film hat ein paar Startschwierigkeiten bis der entscheidende Stein ins Rollen kommt aber dann wird dem One Piece-Fan das geboten was er sehen will: Die Strohutcrew in Action und damit geizt Norowareta Seiken nicht im geringsten und bringt einen fulminanten Endkampf hervor der alle anderen Movies locker topt. Auch dieses Mal gilt: Anschauen für jeden OP-Fan unerlässlich!

| This has been by far the best One Piece movie. I didnt review the other movies cause I was too lazy, but this one is worth it. Out of all five this movie has the best action sequences. All your favorite characters are here cooler than ever. This movie also gives a good story where you actually learn more about Zoros past. This anime has been one of the best long running series out there and each movie gets better and better. I cant wait for the next one.
I would suggest that nobody watch the English version of this anime on Fox cause they cut out a lot of violence and they cant even say zoros name. The U.S. version is just going to ruin the whole series, so dont watch and hope they cancel it before they really make it bad.

| Yet another one piece movie. The animation was very good since its a movie, much nicer than the TV series, I would say its just as good as the 4th movie. The fights were done nicely. This movie actually had something of character development which I thought was good because they never did something like that before in a movie, A small dive into Zoro's past. And still has all the charm and humor of a one piece movie.
