| The last installment in the Sailor Moon series definitely does not disappoint in scope, adding great new characters and an interesting storyline. Also look for a new opening that is much better than "Moonlight Densetsu". The episodes range from light and funny to epic and heart-breaking It's shorter than the other series so there are fewer filler episodes. In general, Stars is darker, which is reflected both in the animation and climactic last episodes. On the whole, Stars is a great anime that maintains the familiarity of the previous Sailor Moon series, while adding dramatic tension and characters development that helps it stand alone as a great anime.

| Sailor Moon Stars brings the the entire series to a satisfying close. In one last epic battle across the galaxy, Sailor Moon proves once again that nothing can beat the power of love. Corny, right? But regardless, I still enjoyed that theme because it was done well.
From the season's first episode, you can really tell that it's going to be different and more glamorous than ever. The intro song changes to a more upbeat pop song, which is refreshing after four seasons of the same music (no matter how good that music was). Of course, the original theme song doesn't leave forever. It returns in the end, and just listening to it can remind you of all the previous seasons, which makes it a bit sad that the story's over.
Another theme that carried well was that which stated that everyone had "a star in their hearts." Again, it sounds corny, and it is, but it blended very well with Sailor Moon's battle. In a battle royale, Sailor Scouts, aside from those in the Solar System, are controlled by Sailor Galaxia and made to steal other people's "star seeds." Sailor Moon must bring the galaxy back to stability, and so she levels up to her final, most powerful form, Eternal Sailor Moon. Her new outfit is laden with frills and feathers, and her attacks are still ridiculous ("Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!"). So, the "girly" factor turns up several notches.
Speaking of gender, this season has a few new characters who look like guys but morph into girls. If you were looking for the reason why this season never got an English dub... this is it.
Compared with the manga, the end of the anime is pretty different. I preferred the manga's ending because it was much more serious, but I suppose the directors wanted to keep the show as lighthearted as it was throughout, so the anime ending was much milder. There was still a ton of drama along the way, however. That aspect is the same in both the anime and manga.
As usual, there are a lot of unnecessary fillers in this season, but that's to be expected. The animation has improved greatly, but that's the only other major change. Sailor Moon is still the only character who develops. The rest of the Sailor Scouts are left to hang dry, only behaving as the usually do and never changing at all. Since they were all packed into this season, there was still plenty of character variety to go around, so it wasn't as bad as in the previous seasons.
In my reviews of those other seasons, I have always made comparisons with the first season. This review is no different. Sailor Moon Stars comes closest to the depth of the first season, but there is still very little comparison. The drama doesn't pull the heart strings as effectively, but at least the Sailor Scouts were able to remind us that they would do anything, including self sacrifice, to save Sailor Moon. That, coupled with the saga's grand end, makes Sailor Moon Stars a good finish. It was a fun, colorful end to a fun, colorful classic.

| This season exceeded my expectations. It's a shame that they didn't release it on DVD and we have to find bootlegs.

| As a Sailor Moon fan - I found this to be the best season out of them all.
The animation is brilliant! and the plot is a lot more powerful than most of the other seasons.
We see Sailor Moon (Usagi) grow up even more emotionally. Never did we think that cry-baby Usagi could become so mature and lady like (At times)
SailorStars really plays with your emotions. I would be a liar if I said I hadn't cried at the end of this season.
SailorStars is a wonderful mix of Drama, Humor, Tears and Love.
Once again Usagi shows us there is good in everyone and to never give up on the people we love and care for.

| An amazing final season. Let me start off the Sailor Stars are an amazing bunch and I couldn't be any more happy with their addition. Such fun to watch on screen and their motivation and drive actually something to be admired. All the good characters are here, minus the two big time sinks, the pink haired brat and random line idiot in a suit.
Sailor Galaxia, probably going down as the best evil villain within the entire series, or any other series in fact. The final episodes is a just a wonder to watch. They are very touching, and when you finish the series, you realize Sailormoon stuck with what it does best, hitting you with that love and friendship prevails in the end kind of theme.
Stars has some pretty damn catchy tunes. The Stars entrance theme is some snazzy stuff. I downloaded the entire soundtrack, very good to the ears.
Oh yes, regarldess of how amazing I make these final episodes to be, this season still follows the typical format. Monster of the week kind of thing. I think the creators definitely went crazy, in a bad way, when it deals with how they designed the baddies this time around. They are downright awful!

| Phew, after the atrocity called Sailor Moon SuperS, I didn`t expect much out of this season. But, well, it has pleasantly surprised me, I think I could even call it the second best season out of these long running series.
The first few episodes of this season is actually a conclusion of Sailor Moon SuperS, yet affected by the real, and the last villain of Stars. Hence, if these episodes were aired at the end of the SuperS season, it wouldn`t have looked even half as bad, but, well, Sailor Moon`s creators` thinking is beyond me.
Anyway, one of the biggest highlights of this season is that Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen is removed. After being an interesting character and love interest during Sailor Moon season 1, he managed to develop into a boring and good-for-nothing cardboard. Really, when I was still watching season 1 and I had heard that Mamoru is missing in season 5, I thought like "ogh my god, how can there be a Sailor Moon without Tuxedo Mask? That`s going to be the worst season ever". I was wrong, though.
The story as in the previous seasons is still episodic, following usual monster-per-week formula, if not for the three new and interesting characters it would`ve bored me to death. But now, it was quite funny, since I could analyse the newcommers. Oh yeah, and the conclusion is quite great, yet again.
All in all, if you liked the first three seasons of the Sailor Moon, this is your candy. Yet, if you haven`t watched them yet, then what are you waiting for?! This is the last season of Sailor Moon, so if you want to know Sailor Moon, start from the first one, which in turn is the best one as well.

| This is a must watch. I mean if you've gone through 160 episodes already, you might as well finish the series right? It will all be worth it, asides from the goofy baddies, everything is flawless. The Starlights are very meaningful characters with alot of backstory and motivation. All the good characters are here, except Chibi and that loser of a boyfriend who I can't even spell right now, replaced by even more better characters! Well in my opinion better. Anyways, amazing season, watch it. Good luck finding it though.

| The BEST season of Sailor Moon, truly. It made me cry and the story was very good, it really ended very well and I'm glad. They actually managed to make a good season after the crappy SuperS. I didn't think they would. The starlights are awesome especially Yaten (Sailor Star Healer). I highly reccomend this season, it's VERY worth watching over and over again. AHHH, that annoying Iron Mouse, thank god she died. (sorry, she's annoying)

| It is just my childhood anime, the first I have seen and the first always has a special place in my anime-worldness. Although very "girly," both boys and girls under the ages of 10 would definitely love this, but even as a high schooler, I still love this anime. It served as a memory of the good times I had running from school just to watch it.

| When I watched the first season of the series many years ago and some episodes of other seasons (I think up to season 3) here and there, I was impressed by the colorfoul animation but felt that something was missing in the terrible dubbings. Somehow they didnt fit with the series and the way the characters were animated gave the hint that there was a different and much better voice acting alltogether. Thats why I saw some episodes for a year and then never bothered again. Then I decided to judge this series differently and in a more ''mature'' age and watched the last season in original Japanese with subtitles. I couldnt watch all 200 episodes of course! And the verdict is:

| Sailor Stars probably ties for the greatest SM season with Sailor Moon S. While still extremely formulaic (with the whole monster-of-the-day thing), the villains this time around were, in contrast with the previous season, very fun and interesting to watch. There were also definitely more plot twists and more information was found on the nature of the Sailor Senshi and Chaos.
A definite must-see for any SM fan.

| I see many have given this season a perfect 10 out of 10, and I surely must join them! After the disappointing previous Super S season the authors have pulled them selves together to create a worthy "goodbye" season and they did it. Everything here works, from the final fight with Nehelenia up to the gender switches ( which will stop this ever being dubed into english )to the brilliant Seiya character, and the mood is fantastic. They really don't make them like this anymore!

| What can I say? This season is practically perfect. It's as good as all the previous seasons put together. The Three Lights are such cool characters they would make any story interesting. I only wish they could have appeared earlier in the seasons. But other than that, this is a clear 10/10 in every category, from animation to story, and should be in the top 200 here NOW!

| By far the best Sailor Moon season!
The animation is nigh on perfect and it's fun to watch Sailor Moon from episode 1 -200 continuously to see the improvement in animation as each season goes on!
It has one of the most entralling storylines and some of the best villians ever! I am in love with the Three Lights/Starlights and even after 6 years have not lost my passion for Sailor Moon!
The music in Stars is wonderful and there is nothing I can find fault with (not even Chibi Chibi *lol*).
It's just a shame Stars was messed with so much that Naoko Takeuchi decided not to write anymore Sailor Moon!
Having watched Stars again! I decided to drop animation to 9, as although the year it was made has to be taken into consideration, there are some big flaws with the fluidity of the character design.
I also decided to add that it probably has one of the most wonderful endings in anime. It's filled with emotion and leaves you with a feeling that anything is possible if you believe hard enough.

| Quite a few Sailor Moon fans contend that the series took a turn for the worse after the second season. Like most anime in the fighting shounen genre, popularity reared its ugly head and a novel concept transformed into formulaic tripe that prepubescent girls will eat up like cotton candy. Although the meta-series undeniably lessens in quality in later seasons, this fifth and final installment is a welcome return to form and second only to the original series.
Our girls are now sixteen years old and hot to trot. Their growing maturity is perhaps the reason for the new sexual humor: there are quite a few ecchi jokes, sexual innuendoes, and even the occasional fan-service. The first six episodes seemed tagged on: I had no idea who Nehelenia was. According to my brother, the first six episodes are meant to be a conclusion for the fourth season….which I skipped. Whatever. The best part of this is the first six episodes is the only time Chibi-usa appears. Yay! No more of that brat. Unfortunately, she’s almost immediately replaced by an equally annoying character by the name of Sailor Iron Mouse who is, in turn, replaced by (oh no!) Chibi-chibi. Oh, and Tuxedo Mask is also missing in action. But I missed that Robert Burns wanna-be and his bad poetry. :(
With the exception of Chibi-chibi and Sailor Iron Mouse, the new characters are actually enjoyable. However, there are two things that bother me. One is “Sailor Gentle Uterus!” Yes, uterus. And shouted very seriously, too. I thought “Pink Sugar Heart Attack!” was bad, but it doesn’t hold a candle to gentle uteruses. The other thing that bothers me doesn’t seem to bother Usagi (who is a lot more mature this season). She didn’t bat an eyelash at the fact that her new love interest magically grows breasts every time he transforms. I don’t know about you, but I think she should be concerned about that.
Why the trans-gendered characters? And no, these characters are not girls. They are boys….that transform into girls. My brother tells me that in the manga these characters were girls. I haven’t the slightest idea why this change was made, especially considering that these dudes in drag are about as attractive as Janet Reno in a string bikini. Frankly, I don’t want to know either. Anyways, when Seiya isn’t clad in skimpy leather, he’s great when paired with Usagi. The chemistry between those two is definitely one of the highlights of the series. In fact, one of the best episodes is when Seiya teaches Usagi how to play softball so they can win a bet. Maybe I’m just dorky, but I had a big smile on my face at the end of that episode. The other two Sailor Stars really aren’t as interesting and this brings me to my next point: Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. Sailor Uranus was the best character in the third season, but she’s….annoying here. And is it just me, or is it amusing that out of all the planets they just happen to give the lesbian Uranus?
…..
…..
…..
….okay, it’s just me. Moving right along...
Where was I? Right, Sailor Uranus. Unfortunately, Uranus and Neptune have nothing more than cameo appearances and when they do appear, they do nothing but drool all over each other. “You’re hurting me. I want you to touch me gently.” “I’ll do it when we’re alone.” Oh, gag me with a spoon. This is unfortunate because they really were the best characters in Sailor Moon S. To their credit, they do have the single best scene in this. When they decide to steal the show, they do it eh?
If you’re ever getting tired of the series and just want to get on with it, just skip to episode 187. It’s smooth sailing from there and the last ten or twelve episodes rival those of the first season. Sailor Galaxia was a real piece of work. The ending is intense and well-done; however, there is nothing about the ending that says, “This is definitely the LAST season of Sailor Moon.” There’s no ultimate finality and I wouldn’t be all that surprised if a sixth season comes up out of the blue. This better not happen, of course. Sailor Moon, though a novelty ten years ago, will not do so well in this day and age. The magical girl genre has been enhanced since then and anime fans get to enjoy greats like Princess Tutu. But unless you really don’t want to be caught dead watching this, I recommend braving it out. Let your friends laugh at you later.

| I just finished watching Sailor Moon Stars, and all I can Say is WOW. Talk about a show that exceeded my expectations. Prior to watching this I had watched some of Sailor Moon R, and Most of S and Super-S. This series puts the others to shame with the best story BY FAR out of the four. There are many interesting new characters, and much to talk about. If you want to know more read my review.

| The animation is wonderful in Sailor Stars! The sound is great, new music, new opening. The seiyuu's are as good as seiyuu's can get. Sailor Stars got the best story in SM. The characters are wonderful and no one is annoying, that's because Chibi-Usa and Mamoru isn't in it. Also Uranus, Neptune and Saturn returns and Sailor Starlights enter the game. The evil-of-the-season is great! Galaxia is scary as hell and the other ones are hillarious. Usagi is alot more mature in this season which is really good. I'd buy this series no matter what it would cost, and I'm going too when Toei releases the japanese dvd's. ^^ Enjoyment, huge. I've watched it several times.
This series is strongly recomended. ^_^

| This last season of Sailor Moon, is actually the same as the others, in terms of story. Throughout the series new enemies keep coming, more powerful than the last ones and always trying to cover the world in darkness... which only Usagi can save, of course.
Nothing changes much from one season to another, really. You do have the same characters, the same type of story and the same soundtrack. I think seasons 2 to 5 are only for Sailor Moon fans (which I was, once).

| The best season of Sailor Moon and the last. The story in Sailor Moon Stars is very interesting and kept me wanting more. The Sailor Stars were pretty cool, the only downside I would say about this is that Mamorou-san isn't even present, but Seiya is there in place of him, which was perfectly fine. The ending didn't really satisfy me. It felt like there needed to be more or maybe that's just the feeling of not wanting to let go. It was a wonderful ride watching Sailor Moon, a classic series I'll never grow old watching. It's too bad that Sailor Stars won't be coming to the Americas, people will be missing out.

| This was the best season, I think. It goes back and resolves SuperS more completely, picks up a few pieces from S. It gives the series a much needed overhaul, with a ton of new characters, and a brand new theme song. Not as good as the original though. The animation is brighter and cleaner as well. The story goes and tries to explain the very existance of the Sailor Senshi. Which it really never did very well. Just what was the sailor wars? What started it? You never really find out. All you find out is that it resulted in the sealing of Chaos. Maybe the Stars Manga goes into it better.
Galaxia was forkin evil. The last five episodes will forever be the best, and most tragic the series had ever seen.
It never did get dubbed, and now it never will. Thats fine, cos what could be done? A cross dressing woman falls in love with Usagi. You cant rewrite that no matter how hard you try.
