| For once, the focus shifts from Sailor Moon to Mamoru. Even though it's just for one, short movie that doesn't correspond to the original plot, it's still something.
An alien who was a childhood friend of Mamoru returns to Earth seeking his affections. He is passionate and jealous of Usagi, who, to him, seems to keep Mamoru all to herself. With the help of a flower demon, he initiates a plan to put the world to sleep so that no one will bother him or Mamoru. There are gay themes going on, as you might be able to tell.
The movie's animation wasn't very special, but since it was created in 1993, it couldn't have been any better. The battle sequences were more detailed, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the movie ends in a way typical of Sailor Moon (with love!). It's rather boring yet still enjoyable for such a short stretch of time. If I could define it in any concise way, I would call it an extra long filler episode. That's what most anime movies are, but this one barely deviates from the standard filler.

| Whether or not you enjoy this sixty minute movie depends on two things:
Did you like the series enough to get a quick fix? After all, this is nothing more than an elongated “monster of the hour” episode. But you do learn a bit more about Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask.
And two, are you interested in a gay villain with a strange fixation on flowers?
Yes?
No?
‘Nuff said.
….not that I’m interested in a gay flower dude or anything like that.

| The first of the 3 Sailor Moon movies and NOT written by Naoko Takeuchi. It's entertaining and fun! and a great watch whether you're a Sailor Moon fan or not.

| Mostly involved with the past of Mamoru, I seemed to remember watching it a long time ago. This was fairly good for a movie, it began with some long term promising friendship from an alien named Fiore. And there was kind of like an odd triangle that they put forth in the story, but had a decent concept that followed along with it. Some comical scenes in the beginning of it made itself quite worthwhile. It's fine though, which had more dramatic moments than the adventure that it gives.

| This movie is a very interesting one in the Sailor Moon saga. Once again the creators took a gamble and showed a fairly yaoi side to Mamoru, now that would put off a lot of the series' male audience but as most people know "boy's love" is only in Anime to show that the male character is capable of deep emotions. The story allows for this as Fiore is quite the beautiful boy and Mamoru seems drawn to him. The ending is cheesy but the twists that lead to it are surprising. Thoroughly enjoyable especially because you get to see different attacks from the scouts or are they the same ones from different angle? Anyway, it is a great movie.
