| Seems that I am one of the few who love The Alternative World more than the previous one, The Magnificent World. I've also seen the tv series (but only a few eps) and I didn't like it very much as it is just composed of random adventures of Makoto and the others and there's no solid plot, unlike in this one, that's the reason why I like this series better.
This is the continuation of El Hazard the Magnificent world. Miz was able to make Mr Fujisawa marry her, so they find someone who will replace Miz as the new priestess of water, and that is Kaur. While the coronation of the new priestess takes place, Makoto and the rest of the gang are suddenly transported into another parallel world called Creteria, a gloomy country. Every one of them are scattered all over the place, Makoto and Nanami found themselves near a castle and they were seized by the soldiers and inside they were reunited with Kaur, who is mistaken as a Goddess by the emperor. Sheyla was transported together with Jinnai and Katsuo, the rest on a floating island.

| This chapter of the El-Hazard story just didn't do it for me. Considering they finally decided to increase the length of an El-Hazard series I was so upset that the story was so uninspired. Once again there is no more character development, if anything some of the supporting cast actually moves backwards in that department. And the last episode was pointless and a waste. Such a shame to end the show in such a manner. If you're a die hard El-Hazard fan, you should check it out, otherwise, it really isn't worth watching.

| It was a better fit into the story than the first TV series but still a letdown with no Ifurita or ending to the story, but of course they and another woman to the mix.

| Ok another part of El Hazard, but I fear this serie has and is going the same way Tenchi is doing at the moment.
They are stretching and stretching the story to the max (well since both shows are made by the same people no surprise there)
Big problem:
NO END!!!!!
Just the same storyline over and over again but no ending to it or any closure on the love triangles and subplots.
That is the one major flaw (espacialy since the first OVA was so centerd on Ifurita but two series later'you get the feeling the makers forgot her or something :) )
All in all the show is good but no closure. As said stick to the first OVA , since that gives some closure.
To soften the rant :) :
The serie is good and has some closure, here I presume OVA 2 and TV serie 2 are set in a timeline inbetween the last scene of OVA 1 and the rest of OVA 1, but they could have done a lot more with the first OVA storyline instead of creating more of a tenchi clone sub story.

| El Hazard with fair plot, NO IFURITA and lousy animation ... arg. I hope I never watched it, stick with El Hazard Magnificent world, which is AWESOME, and do not watch this under no circustances.
