| Mazinger Z has a great value, because it influenciated in most of the posterior animes of the genre. The robots, the weapons are very similar to some series that appeared later. Well, the animation and the sound are good for their time. The characters are very funny, and Koji is a very brave and smart warrior. But I think that the series are too long, so the chapters become too repetitive,very similar. Anyway, I always expected the new monster of doctor Hell when I was a child. An other thing I didn't like so much in the series, was the fact that mazinger was almost indestructible because of the special metal aleation, some of the most funny episodes take place when Baron Ashura, count Brocken or Dr Hell make some ideas to cheat Mazinger and the people in the lab, or when they make with some hostages. It is a little more emotional.

| Fan de Mazinger Z desde los 4 años, es uno de mis animes favoritos y nunca me canse de verlo retransmitido en la TV.
Este show fue el unico motivo por el que miraba la television cuando era muy chico y tambien la razon por la que me comia mis verduras, jejejeje.
Quiza Mazinger Z no sea el primer mecha (Tetsujin 28 creo que es el primero) pero seguramente si el mas entrañable y popular, tanto que hasta tiene una estatua enorme en su honor en España.
La musica me parece un poco graciosa, pero despues de acostumbrarme me parece estupenda y sobre todo en estos tiempos que ya no se oyen este tipo de canciones.
El doblaje es muy bueno, pero me refiero al japones, pues el resto me parece muy malo, sobre todo el puertoriqueño.
La historia en estos tiempos no parece la gran cosa, pero hay que tener en cuenta que desde estas serie practicamente nacio el genero de mechas, y aunque la serie es repetitiva, el argumento si llega a avanzar y hasta final tiene.
Los personajes son muy carismaticos, Koji, Sayaka, Boss, Shiro, Dr. Hell, Baron Ashura, etc, pero el que se lleva la serie es Koji, un personaje muy simpatico sobre todo por ser tan machista y terco (cosa que la valio a la serie el ser censurada en España un buen tiempo).
En general es un anime muy divertido, y fue mi primer anime, por lo que lo recuerdo con mucho cariño y a su vez me hace recordar momentos de mi infancia.

| This has to be one of the best 70's and Go Nagai anime that I've seen. Mazinger is a classic from 1972 and I still like it today. The animation is great for being how old it is. Nothing original to see now and it's repetitive but it's still a lot of fun to watch. Mazinger Z has a different robot to fight in almost every episode. I like most of the characters too. The voice acting is good but my only problem with the sound is music, which I haven't liked from anime from the 70s. This is a very early mecha anime, maybe the first and it shows but unless you absoulutely hate old anime than you should watch this. My review is based off of the first 44 episodes only.

| Mazinger Z is an anime icon.
This is probably one of the most influential animes of all-time.
OK, perhaps the villains, the heroes, the mechas, the battles, the story, the jokes and the conclution may be cliched for today's standars. But each one of them where so unique, original, charming and endearing, that is imposible to forget them.
With this review I try to reach those who never know Mazinger Z. And they are never late to see this classic.
