| I liked this anime more than this review first appears. This anime is just ridiculous. This fast-paced love triangle comedy/romance as a whole was a great work. School Rumble has its moments where you are just laughing out of embarassment for a certain character. It is more of a comedy than many animes, although, it does intertwine a semi-action, romance scenes which are also part of the anime.
The characters are very unique and different in their own ways. Without their personalities, the anime will lose its colorfulness (is that even a word?). The only major flaw in my opinion was that I think School Rumble is overmarketed when the anime was made. The manga is quite popular and the publicity might of affected the quality to some extent.
That said, this anime could have been way better with a few touches, the voice acting was good, but you'd expect something more amazing for School Rumble. Its a good anime. Fun just for the moments. If anything, watch the first few episodes. If you do, I'm sure you'll appreciate at least a few scenes if not just for the LOLs.

| School rumble is no doubt the best school (romantics) comedy since AzumangaDaioh. However the slow pace of the plot and presentation of the unsatisfying ending (for both season 1 and 2, seasonal ending) ultimately prevent it from being a true classic. However , the amount of comedy presents and personality of characters more than fulfill the enjoyment of any casual or harcore anime-fans.

No wonder School Rumble is called "gurugu mawaru" (spinning round n' round) comedy. It's basically a story about thirty or so adolescents in High School and their unrequited love. Though it sounds as a premise to a teen angst melodrama, School Rumble is made in such a messed up and crazy way that it will, in turn, make you cry from laughing.
The fun galore is achieved thanks to the fact that everyone from those thirty characters loves someone, but none of the feelings are mutual. In turn most of them misunderstands each other and grows to think that someone loves someone whom he really doesn't. In the end everything is so messed up, that you can do nothing but laugh at the idiocy of resulting situations. Interesting, original and attractive characters make this show even better. Heh, so far everything sounds great, however, there is a but. Though season one is strong both story wise and character wise, in season two the creators, for some reason, forget all the substance and start making random jokes, random comedy situations, in the end leading plot, basically to nowhere. Season three is even worse, as out of 26 original episodes only the last two aired (the flop of season two might have cut their budget). Anyway, School Rumble is a show which starts great and then grows to become worse and worse. Though it has a somewhat conclusive ending in season three, the show as a whole would have been better if it was cut short in season one. Non conclusive, but it at least would have been an exciting ride from the beginning to and end. As it stands now, though, if you wont be too excited after watching season one, you are better off not watching it further, as it only grows worse. In my case, however, I liked the season one enough, to partially enjoy second and third as well, but, still, was left in a pretty bad aftertaste.
Anyway, if you are up for some light romance, or just some comedy, School Rumble, at least season one, is one of the best shows you can choose.

| I've read more of the manga then actually watching the show, but to me they both seem the same. It was a cliche of any mediocre high school anime.

| I'm going to call this the ultimate one-sided romantic comedy. The sheer number of humorous misunderstandings coupled with two slightly slow yet amazingly cute/humorous main characters makes for absolute brilliance.
At first, one sees a dozen girls and several boys and "harem" comes to mind. However, it is soon obvious that this is not a typical love triangle anime. Highly recommended for anyone who found Love Hina or Nagasarete Airantou enjoyable.

Once,I was feeling rather dull.(yeah,sounds lame,but do read on)
My friend recommended this anime to me at once.No harm trying it,doesn't it?
His opinion of the entire anime was that it was an extremely amusing and entertaining one.
Hence,I had pretty high expectations upon watching it.
However,it wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be.(Don't flame me yet,just let me explain).
SR(school rumble) has proved that intelligence is absolutely not neccessary for effective humor.Some of these portions are sure to humor even the less-humorous people out there,and I'm sure that most of you agree to that as well.
But why does it(IMO)fail to impress,to stand out?Simply put,this is due to the fact that the humor gets extremely bland and lame after a while.I mean,how many of us can take banal content and idiotic humor after some time.
It doesn't help that some of the humor goes overboard as well(School festival.e.g)or just simply looks unhumorous.Through one might insist that humor should go all out,the humor behaves like a faulty light bulb-sometimes it shines rather well,sometimes it just dims.And when it dims,it simply falls apart,bloated in bad or extremely dull jokes.

| „School Rumble“ hat so ziemlich alle Zutaten die man braucht für eine typische Schoolkid-Love-Comedy: Charaktere mit gängigen Persönlichkeiten und Verhaltensweisen, mehrgleisige Beziehungskisten die von den üblichen Missverständnissen und merkwürdigen Zufällen beeinflusst werden und natürlich haufenweise aberwitzige Slapstickeinlagen. An der Oberfläche ist „School Rumble“ also gar nichts derartig besonderes und auch die ersten Episoden die dem Zuschauer den Grundstein des ganzen Treibens darlegen präsentieren sich im gewohnt unspektakulären „Der ist in die verliebt und die halt in den Anderen“-Gewand. Wer jetzt aber denkt dass dieser Anime nur ein Love-Comedy-Anime unter tausenden, geschweige den langweilig ist, der wird schon kurz nach dem eher verhaltenen Start der Serie eines besseren belehrt. „School Rumble“ hat nämlich genau das was ein Anime aus diesem Genre braucht um zum absoluten Comedy-Juwel zu avancieren und das sind haufenweise sympathische, teilweise sehr skurrile Charaktere und eine wahre Flut an derbst unterhaltsamen Schenkelklopfer-Gags, die eine absolut herrlich, ausgeflippte Stimmung vermitteln und obendrein völlig butterweich miteinander einhergehen. Die Comedy ist überwiegend abwechslungsreich, auch wenn sich manche Gags immer mal wiederholen, und kommt in Kombination mit den zahlreichen Figuren und deren Persönlichkeiten, sowie deren Interaktion vollstens zur Geltung. Die Story mit der handelsüblichen Dreiecksbeziehung als Triebfeder gerät dagegen recht schnell in den Hintergrund und man wird sich um deren Entwicklung nicht allzu viel scheren, da vor allem in der Anfangsphase der Serie, ein Top-Charakter nach dem anderen vorgestellt wird der die Lachmuskeln traktiert. Das ändert sich allerdings spätestens mit dem Beginn der zweiten Hälfte, denn ab da wird die Beziehungskiste geöffnet, einige Charakter hinzu geworfen und ordentlich durchgeschüttelt. Damit hat „School Rumble“ auf einmal neben der Comedy einen weiteren deftigen Motivationsgrund hinzugefügt um den Anime weiter zu verfolgen, denn dabei zu zuschauen wie sich die Beziehungen der zahlreichen Figuren entwickeln, wie diese durch etliche Faux Pas durcheinander geworfen werden und welche neue Ausgangssituation damit am Beginn jeder neuen Episode gegeben ist, macht mindestens genau so viel Spaß. „School Rumble“ verbindet die in der Genrebezeichnung vorkommenden Worte „Love“ und „Comedy“ förmlich in Perfektion und präsentiert beides in einem absolut ausgewogenen Verhältnis zueinander. Es gibt zwar auch ein paar wenige ernste und mitunter auch „dramatische“ Momente aber diese werden hauptsächlich dazu genutzt die jeweilige Situation bewusst ins lächerliche zu ziehen (Paradebeispiel: Episode 26) und überspitzt ein paar nette Veralberungen in Richtung Zuschauer zu schicken. Schlussendlich kann ich nur sagen das „School Rumble“ alle Kriterien erfüllt die nötig sind um sich im Comedy-Olymp einen festen Platz zu sichern. Nach einem etwas verhaltenen Start lässt dieser Anime die Heiterkeits-Bombe richtig platzen und läd auf einen extrem witzigen Trip auf dem Liebeskarussell ein, der zu keiner Zeit langweilig wird und immer wieder auf dem falschen Fuß zu erwischen weiß.

| School Rumble is a great romantic comedy pretty much suitable for all ages. It put in a high school setting where most of the characters haven't ever dated anyone, so there is a lot of angst and misunderstandings. Its very funny with well developed characters and lots of twists and turns. The relationships get very complex which just adds to the hilarity. I recommend to anyone that just wants to sit back and enjoy a good story without any brain racking necessary.

| A very funny anime. Real comedy if compared to most of the other anime. This show is good for releasing stress. So, recommended to people who is always feeling stressful and tired. I am looking forward to watch the 2nd season.

| This anime is probably one of the best comedy romances that have come out recently. While it seems just like your average school comedy this hopeless love triangle anime about dummies and hopeless love is really exciting and entertaining.

| My Favourite Aneime of All Time !!
A great Love/Comedy series. A fresher approach to the love triangle than other animes. Temna our stylish heroine is in love with Karasuma, the most riduculous guy ever. Harima is in love with Temna but goes unnoticed by her dimwitted self. Watch as they go through some of the most hilarious situations on TV !!
The music is a Big Hit with me especially the character songs.
This has got to be one of the best voice acting casts ever assembled.
There are alot of vibrant colours used in the animations which will pull you in.
Overall this anime has excellent laughs and great re-watch value.

| School Rumble truly is one of the better recent anime comedies. For the most part it is light hearted and the humor always seems to stay fresh. Due to the light hearted nature of the show, I didn't become emotionally attached to any of the characters, but this didn't hinder my enjoyment of the show.
The best part of School Rumble is the characters in it. The two main characters were decent, but the many side characters are what really made the show funny. In my opinion, Hanai (the martial arts guy who liked the main character's sister) was the most fun character in the show. His abruptness and energy level made him a pleasure to watch. Yakumo was also a pleasure due to her humble attitude despite the fact that she was better than her older sister in every way.
School Rumble had the right combination of comedy, plot and romance to keep me well entertained with out being overly dramatic or contrived. It is well worth watching once, and quite possibly worth keeping and watching again in a few years.

| school rumble is probably second in my comedy rank. right after suzumiya haruhi.
one of my all time favourite characters is harima. he may annoy others but i really like him. he loves tenma very much but she doesnt care for him. tenma is a classmate of harima. wow what a coincidence :-). tenma is in love with karasumaru who seems to be not interested in girls at all. so much to the story.
the animation is average. i gave it eight points because it has nothing to do how funny an anime is. i could have given a perfect ten otherwise. the sound is okay. i like the opening song.
like i said the characters are really good in school rumble. the sister of tenma has the ability to read the mens mind. its ridicilous when a man is near her. the only guy that she cant read is harima and she kind of falls in love with him. but harima just cares for her sister and doesnt notice the affection he gets.
to make it short school romble is a romance comedy anime with many hilarious moments and lovely characters.

| I've seen my fair share of comedy-romance-school anime, but this one sure is different. School Rumble is all about the comedy part with a pinch of romance going on. I can't remember when was the last time I laughed this much.
Almost all the comedy is centered on Harima, the main character, who's a delinquent secretly in love with Tenma, dense and silly girl, who has a crush on Karasuma, totally spaced out guy. Side characters have pretty interesting stories as well like Eri and some try to compete with Harima on the comedy part like Hanai.
Long story short if you wanna loosen up and have fun, just watch it. In fact watch it even if you don't

| This is a pure comedy anime and a very good one at that. It had me busting out in tears many a time. It has its fair share of romantic moments but nothing major to write home about, make no mistake this show is made to make you laugh.
It is a story of a delinquent called Harmia who falls in love with Tenma (she changed his way of life and he now tries to be a nicer person). However Tenma is oblivious to his feelings and she has her own love agenda trying to make Karasumaru fall for her, thus making the classic love triangle that so many amines seem to adopt.
Harima goes about to trying to express his love for Tenma but at the last second something always goes wrong. Either he chickens out or she (being the big dummy that she is) misinterprets it to be a love confession for someone else and other crazy things of that nature. Some the secondary characters fall for harmia, but he only has his eyes set on Tenma.
Overall a great anime, guaranteed to make you laugh. It also has the aspect of "who will get together with whom?" and therefore gives the anime a more interesting twist to it. I recommend this show to all, because it’s really funny and never tries to be too serious.

| How could one not enjoy this show, from the first episode I was bursting out in tears (tears of laughter that it). This show touches on some of the craziest things you can imagine and you will find you self enjoying every second of it. Harmia is just plain cool one minute and halarious the next - a really good main character that will keep you attached and intrested. The show has some minor side stories about who Harmia might hook up with, although he is only interested in one girl (who is oblivious to his feelings) a real dummy named Tenma. These two are a great paing for a comedy as they both have different ways of making you laugh. There is no story to speak of, as it is just about adventures at school and the many mysterious things class c and d do. There are some minor serious moments, but they obviously either dont last long or turn out to be... funny. I recommend this to all who want a good laugh.

| Can't say much that hasn't been said already. It's an extremely light-hearted fun anime. You won't find any deep plotline or underlying meaning in this one just pure comical relief. And its refreshing. It a very funny anime that is really worth watching. The situations the characters get into are very fun and provide ample oppurtunities for laughter. I definitely reccomend this one.

| Here it is, School Rumble. A series that's very famous nowadays in anime forums and discussions. Is it overrated? Is the hype around its name well deserved? Let's see.
First, we have your typical stupid but cute and useless in most things, girl, that falls in love with the most spaced-out, boring and lame guy ever. Then, we have your typical deliquent, that kicks some serious ass, but he falls in love with the previous girl! After that he's not your typical deliquent anymore, he becomes the most original deliquent ever, one of the most interesting (on the fun side) characters in anime history if you ask me. And that's where the fun begins.
School Rumble is a -hands down- fun anime. I didn't use the word 'very', if you noticed. That's true, it's not very fun, just fun. That's because it has some moments that are really VERY fun, but it has also some moments when I was hardly keeping myself awake. What a waste. It could have been perfect with some less reference on the 'romance' part of the hybrid. The hilarious things that happen between Harima (the deliquent) and Tenma (the girl) are not affected by this. Side characters seem to worsen it, though. Sometimes the anime tries to become a bit 'dramatic' and that's where it fails miserably, keeping it away from the masterpiece title that it could get otherwise, in my opinion.
In any case, it's a series that's fun enough to give a try, and some of the best episodes are really golden and you will be watching them again and again.
I'm not a person to easily get completely satisfied by an anime. If you are not such a person yourself you will probably love it. But if you're more picky, you can find some -serious or less serious, depending on your judgement- flaws.
But, overall it's a very entertaining anime to watch, alone or with friends -it's one of the anime I would enjoy watching with company, to tell the truth.
Won't write more (I tend to write too much), since it's an anime of pure fun and light-hearted watching, no deeper analysis needed.
WATCH IT!
