Also echt, schon mal was von “Keep it real!“ gehört, liebe Regisseure?

| An action flick, involving characters from Naruto.
This one is a curious case as for relation with TV series. You sure will miss out few things, but, what's weird, relatively little of them. If You intend to see the series, or You are watching it, my advice is watch this after episode 102. That way You absolutely won't be spoiled.
Still, it brings little if anything to the series and I doubt it's story will be used in anyway there.
For Naruto fans this definitely holds greater appeal, yet really, I doubt there will be much to please You. The only developed characters here are Koyuki and Fujimi. Other than them, You may forget about any character development.
Story is much better than TV series, but that's nothing to brag about, since Naruto's story is prime example of the worst directing in all anime I've seen (I haven't seen DBZ mind me :P).
Unfortunately, the background they've given for the world is badly out of place when compared to the series. Thus while main plot of the movie was quite to my liking, this sudden modernization threw me off-balance.
Overall, that may be interesting flick, and it shall be treated like one of the better episodes of the series, but not 'main-story related'.

| After watching two dozen episodes of bad Naruto over the last few months, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It has the heart that has been lacking recently, and the pacing is good without being hectic. Although the characters are not well developed, with the exception of the Princess, the animation *is* above average and there is some new music as well. The plot is teenage, but has a good number of surprises in store for the jaded set and manages to hook you with some mushy, but true, developments.
I always liked how Naruto manages to convey Japanese ethics subtly through the choices of the various characters, and this movie has that in spades (although less subtle than usual). It's a great movie for kids, and I would recommend it to parents over the simpering politically-correct pablum that Disney dishes out any day.
There are plenty of in-jokes for fans of the series, some nifty new jutsus to drool over, and even a weird cameo here and there. And if you want to find out what makes Kakashi lose his composure and twitch like a schoolgirl, make sure to keep watching right through the end credits.
Overall, not bad if you're not expecting an adult masterpiece.

| Animation: Just like the Naruto anime animation except with some CG effects and more. I think it looks really nice.
Sound: Not perfect, but close to it. Some of the tracks were really good and make the fight scenes better, the rest was good but not amazing.
Story: At first, it seemed to just be another type of Protect her, big bad guy comes, the end. This one was very well done; it gave you background on what was happening, what happened, and then at the end what will happen (like the epilogue). Each of these were very well done and made it flow.
Character: 9 only for Koyuki. Naruto you already know about not giving up, etc. Also good because it took time for Koyuki to learn her lesson, not like 2 minutes like it does for other (bad) movies.
Value: Short fights, short movie (for real movie standards). That doesn't mean it's bad though. And the short fights; there were many of them, and the fight scenes were well done with sometimes a touch of humour.
Enjoyment: I really enjoyed this movie. It was interesting and funny. The effects were great; especially in fight scenes. The music was good, really good voice acting (as usual).
If you like Naruto, and are past the episode of around 60, then just watch this movie.

| Everything you could hope to expect from watching the Naruto series. (good or bad) It has the usual theme of "I will never give up" and the ideas of hope and dreams. Very cliche.
The story and the character development is very weak in this movie. (Compared to the series, I would consider this to be weak as well). There isn't much in terms of sophistication and basically what holds this movie up are the action scenes and the cool effects. Quite fluid animation and a nice soundtrack.
I wouldnt recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen naruto yet. If you disliked Naruto, I wouldn't watch this either. If you slightly enjoyed Naruto, and loved it for the Ninja effects , this is for you! I loved the fighting, effects, and animation.

| Wow besides the fact that I dislike the series, the movie was a whole different story.
Animation - Ok it's a movie so the animation will obviously be improved. The animation was top notch and the colors were vibrant, with a touch of some cg animation.
Sound - If there's one thing I like about naruto, it's the music. Tracks 05 and 14 of the movie ost are the best. Besides those, most of the music will sound corny on it's own. However with the movie, the music fight in "perfectly."
Story - Yeah....the protect mission once again. Although it may seemed to be done over and over in the actual naruto series, the princess added a lot of great aspects to the story. She believed her father lied to her about spring coming(being in the snow country there is no such thing). Now atleast one country from naruto actually have some background, instead of just throwing in characters such as Zabuza or Garaa from the tv series that drags on forever.
Value - Heh, interesting. The fights were short and that's the way it should be. A mix between action and character development. I admit the last fight could of indeed been longer, but the reason why the series fails is because of pointless events that drag on.
Enjoyment - I enjoyed this movie and after seeing 130 episodes, somehow my love for naruto is reborn...well when the next movie comes anyway =P.

| SIMILAR TO: Naruto (tv series)
As far as fitting in with the storyline of the series, this movie doesn`t. It runs parallel between about episodes 100-102 of the series due to the level of development the characters in the movie have reached.
Visuals:
Let`s begin with the visuals. The Design and Style are pretty much flawless - nice lightning, excellent imagery, carried over from the series - but the Detail, Artwork, and Animation are not quite up to par for a movie. The Detail and Artwork share their flaws - the details and artwork in the background are decent but don`t fare as well when applied to foreground objects, most noticably characters. The animation lacks in frames for the slower moving scenes and is unfortunately hard to miss. However, the difficult thing to catagorise is the consistency of these flaws - they improve and falter throughout the movie, meaning it`s impossible to simply say they are "bad", since they are aren`t that bad all the time - in fact, for the action scenes (for example) the animation is wonderful, and detail + artwork is also stepped up.
Sound:
The sound only has one minor flaw - the closing theme. I didn`t particularly like it. Everything else, shares the same positive qualities with the series - the voice acting is good, the musical scores are superb, and the background/foreground sounds are atmospheric.
Story:
The story is a basic Naruto plot, concerning the wellfare of someone, in this case a `Snow Princess` and Naruto`s team being assigned to guard her. When her life is inevitably threatened, action ensues. It`s cliched, but a tried and tested formula nontheless.
The story is pretty fun to watch but suffers from the a few aspects. For starters, the main premise of the story is a little dull and not entirely well executed - the movie doesn`t really have a proper beginning and end, and thus the problems of the Snow Princess don`t really feel very interesting since there isn`t a lot of time spent to make you smpathise with her and her country`s problems.
Then there are a few boring bits that could have been smoothed out, for example since there wasn`t enough time given to build up the atmosphere of the problematic situation of the movie, whenever there`s a flashback describing the past of the Snow Princess, it just feels like it`s in the way, and that it`s using up precious time that could be spent on action, plot or character developement.
But even with these flaws, the story didn`t feel contrived or TOO corny. It flowed rather well for what it was, and even being cliched, was suprisingly interesting to watch too. Truthfully, this is partially due to the fact that it`s the first "Naruto Movie", and so a foundation of excitment was already present before I watched it. If this was a standalone movie with no series behind it, it simply would not hold in terms of plot.
Characters:
Many of the much loved characters from the Naruto series are very much ABSCENT from this movie. In fact, only Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi are present, with the rest of the cast being made up of new faces that are relevent to the particular plot of the movie. This is not as terrible as I started off thinking, however.
As far as the character development goes, I actually liked it quite a bit - especially between Naruto and the Princess, which was almost lost due to the seemingly lack of gratitude shown from the Princess, but saved at the last moment after the end credits of the movie where there is a little scene that finishes it nicely. This particular development kept me from missing most of the other abscent cast.
In the end, I only had 2 minor beefs with the characters aspect as portrayed in the movie - from the main 4, only Naruto is given a decent amount screen time. The others don`t feel very present most of the time, even though they have a few action scenes dedicated to them and their abilities. The other irritation is the way the Snow Princess seems so pitiful in the movie. If it was overdone any more than that it would have been really obnoxious. At present she just gets away with it without hindering the movie too much.
Value:
Unlike the series, this movie has a much higher replay value due to being consise and simultaneously action packed. If all the slow bits were erradicated it would be even more watchable. Another slight reason for not giving it a higher score is the fact that the movie is a snapshot of Naruto`s ability and development at around episode 100 - since the series is very much continuing and becoming more ambitious in its action and skill level (definately by episode 133), the series now appears far superior in content, meaning there is a minor dullness to watching the movie when compared to the series.
However, when the movie was released, I wasn`t able to watch it until it came out on dvd. If I HAD seen it when it first came out, the series wouldn`t have been so progressed at the time and so I doubt I would have had this complaint.
Enjoyment:
I certainly enjoyed this movie overall. It definitely fit the feel of Naruto that has built up over the many episodes of the series, but it didn`t feel very ambitious in content. This movie could have easily been 3-4 episodes put back to back to make a mini saga in the series - for a movie I think something more radical and on a larger scale needs to take place in order to satisfy the hype. Simply finishing with a Rasengan as a climax seems a bit dated now. Even if they simply had the appearence of the Giant Toad dude somewhere in the movie, it would have sufficed to make the movie exponentially more pleasureable.
However, it still contained enough of that vital something-something that hit the spot only Naruto seems to be able to do. Watch it, preferably between watching episodes 96-132 of the series. If you have the option, definately hold off watching episode 133 until after you`ve watched the movie. (For me, that particular episode stunningly eclispses the movie`s visuals.)

| Movies that draw their stories and characters from shounen animes have never really left memorable impressions on people. They're meant to rake in the cash on the huge popular interest in the series while it still lasts.
That being said, the Naruto movie wasn't as bad as I expected it would be. There weren't any fight scenes on the level of Gaara vs. Rock Lee, but none of them were as bad as Naruto vs. Neji.
And hey, there was a story! People just didn't start fighting for no reason. It wasn't a particularly good story, but it's not like the Naruto team is trying to help some kid win a stupid race. -_-
Sound was pretty bleh. The ending theme was especially annoying, but then again, ever since Haruka Kanata (rah to Asian Kung Fu Generation), all the Naruto music has seemed like crap.
The main cast is all there, with a couple of new characters. None of them were particularly powerful, although they did have their moments. Koyuki had several, both good and bad.
Nothing spectactular happens in this movie. Nothing of true value, and nothing very enjoyable. In fact, last fight between Naruto and the main bad guy is pretty lame. But it's not the mindless dribble I expect from shounen movies, so I'm mildly impressed.

| Let’s face it: most side-story movies based off of popular series are fair at best. Most of the time, they are created to not further the creator’s story, but to further the cash crop. As most of these movies are released on the big screen, they must also keep the connections to the actual series as general as possible (to appeal to the mainstream audience). While we attempt to appeal to the mainstream audience, we’ll also bump up the animation quality and sound but dumb down virtually everything else.
The Naruto Movie happens to meet the improved qualities of a pop series movie, while disregarding a most of the reduced qualities. For example, the animation is fluid and by far more incredible looking than most of the things in the show. Of course, they really didn’t have much time cutting back to flashbacks between each punch either (since there’s few connections with the series). The computer-enhanced scenes are subtle and thus pretty good. Not too much from the symbolism thing, you still gotta pertain to mainstream audiences.
The sound might have been improved…but I never had a problem with the music or voices from the normal show. I think they did a decent job.
The story and characters, believe it or not, we’re included! The story actually seemed important – the mission that needed to be accomplished evolved over time and had plenty of depth to it. Above this, we got to see a new side of Naruto. For the most part, Naruto has usually been portrayed as the klutz clown with lots of power – hence he creates more problems that solves, at least until the end, most of the time. This time, however, we got to see the more dependable side to Naruto. Clown or not, he’s still a ninja, and was actually doing his job most of the time. He was still given a little backstory to those who might not have seen the series, and Sasuke and Sakura were just skimmed over. The Princess was the most developed character – she underwent a 360 change from an apathetic annoying bitch to, well, the reverse. More or less a believeable transition too, I might add. Color me impressed.
Sure, its not a breathtaking movie animation wise, nor does it share the same sort of story quality or garner as much emotional response as a Ghibli movie, but, The Naruto movie certainly isn’t like “most” side-story movies to popular series. It’s better.

| I couldnt be more dissappointed as a Naruto fan, since I have been watching and am on episode 133. I was shocked with the movie starting out with the feel of the present with their showing a movie that the gang was watching. Can someone please tell me which era Naruto takes place because the movie will kill it maybe, who knows. I thought that this movie was released really, really late because it seems like it should have been released during the first season, but later you see the retarded story writers doing there cool stupid, writing and they show some 2nd and maybe 3rd series stuff. Oh no! Dont spoil me. I'll still tell my friends who are behind in the series to watch this movie because it doesnt matter when you watch it because it in a whole was a big piece of crap in a ninja box waiting for Naruto fans to open it up and take a big whiff and say, "kore wa nan de datte ba yo!" Where was the music in this series that usually captivates my heart in the series, where is the great character development that keeps me attached to them during the series, and where is the great story that helps me continue to love it each week. It is not in this movie. I did love this story and its wonderful, meaningful message that can motivate people, but seriously, I am still crying on how bad this was done. Naruto fans will cry I think.

| First off, I was really hyped for this movie but I knew that I might get dissapointed if my expectations were too high. I was correct in my assumption because the movie overall was mediocre. The storyline was paper thin with almost no originality, and I expected better animation for a movie. It really wasnt that much better than the TV series. Even without a decent story and subpar animation, I fully expected some really cool fights but that really didnt happen either. The problem was that the fights were too short and the badguys werent really all that powerful or had any tricks up their sleeves to make the fights interesting. Despite me bashing this movie, I have to say that if you are a Naruto fan, then it is worth seeing. It wasnt completely horrible but it was more like a C rank mission than an A rank mission.

| WOW!!!!!!
Naruto The Movie!!
I love everything about. The mini Movie in the begin was really funny. hahaha
This movies is really good. although there was some parts where i thought they should fix one. such as, they should put more fighting scences, because i think there was only 10 to 15 min worth of battle scence. Other than there it's nice.
One thing where about this one is that, how the story of the movie is related to the TV show parts is off!! what I mean is that, Naruto knows the Rasengan already. so should've there be a seal curse on sasuke neck? or atleast a limit when he used the Lightning Edge attack.
It's a Must SEE of naruto Fans!!! even if those people who don't follow up the Tv-series, they can still understand most of it without the tv-seres knowledge. I think the reason why they didn't show much jetsus or fighting scence or introduce more of the naruto other characters is that most people who goes to the theatre are parents who don't really watch it so the naruto moive must of de-grade it quality of what naruto is all about so that non-naruto fans can enjoy it.

| This is the first movie of Naruto, and I think it's quite good. Certianly if you're comparing to the other movies made from anime series, like One Piece. Every Naruto fan would love to see this, for the non naruto watchers it would be fun too, but they wouldn't understand everything.
The animation was just flawless, just what you can expect from a well qualified movie, the computer skills are well done.
Sound was just good, I like the ost of naruto, but there wasn't some new sounds in the movie self.
Story is simple, just a mission, I think that everyone can come up with this story.
Characters, well if you like them in the serie, you'll love them here.
There were some new cool jutsu techniques, which was really well made, just for eye candy, so if you like fighting scenes, then you should give it a shot.

| A very pleasant Naruto experience. A bit bored by the slow-moving anime, I was expecting the movie to bring up something. I was not disappointed, though that was not something really new, except all the technologic improvements that do seem somewhat strange at first... and even after actually, as I don't remember seeing high tech toys in the anime. The main improvement here are the crisp graphics. They really give a more epic look to battles, with nice sceneries and characters looking really alive.
This is a movie for the Naruto fans, or those that just want to discover what Naruto looks like, though in that case you're spoiling a bit the anime, as the story takes place not that far from the current episodes (Chidori and Rasengan are both here ^^). Oh, and the Kakashi part of the ending, after the ending theme, is really hilarious :)

| This was a fun movie. It was a lot better than I expected. The feel of it is a bit distant from the show, but it stays true to the "never give up" theme that is Naruto.
The technology in the Narutoverse takes a leap forward, but most of it is reserved for the Snow Country. The antagonist invests a lot of resources into inventions, so that's why we don't see them in other parts of the world.
The animation was much better. I wish they'd translate that kind of effort over to the show, since I'm sure Naruto is a goldmine. But maybe they want to stay true to the art in the manga. The story was kind of cute. Most of the new characters were either fun or filled their role well (Director: Sacrifice your lives and keep on shooting! Show pride in our work!)
I imagine if you've never seen the show, a lot of the meaning and fighting techniques might be lost on you. They give you enough to get you through the movie, but a lot of the questions you might have (What's chakra? Where did he get that technique that he just whipped out of nowhere?) may go unanswered.
I didn't rate the series as highly as this show, so if you like Naruto TV you'll probably enjoy the movie.

| I'm not a large fan of the series, I really think its overrated but this movie was good.
Teh animation is well done normal Naruto animation but it does have some very nice special effects.
The sound is normal music from Naruto for the most part, its good but nothing to gripping.
The story is where this anime shines, its well build, very fast paced, and not at all like the TV series when it comes to drawing things out (not that they could, its a movie) but if the TV series was paced a little slower then this then I really think it would be a better show.
Its the main group from Naruto, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi, along with some new characters, only one of them is developed really well, the rest are basicly fillers and side characters but they all are very fun to watch.
I enjoyed this movie a lot, and I think others will to.
