Interesting plot with clamp typical characters -_-... I love the weirdness of the story.

XXXHolic is a supernatural drama with a twist. The story links together somewhat with Tsubasa Reserviour Chronicles and goes into some deep character analysis while still in-plot.

A very good read overall, but don't expect a main story from what I can see of the volumes out so far. If your into occult reads this is a must, however.

Great story, great art, but the characters are a little bit generic. Fantastic overall though.

Another title from CLAMP closely related to Tsubasa Chronicle but only when it concerns the Dimension Witch Yuuko. Sakura and Syaoran make a short appearance in one chapter initially and later there are some short references of how the characters of that series are faring. But nothing more than that.

The story here is about the witch Yuko and Watanuki who was forced to become her servant. As many other CLAMP titles this deals with the supernatural and sometimes reminds of their earlier and better titles like Tokyo Babylon.
Some chapters are also dark, especially in the later volumes but I would put XXXHolic as a toned down version of X or Tokyo Babylon without that much blood and nightmarish scenes.

The design is good and it helps create the mysterious atmosphere. The problem is that the manga is not trying to be that serious for a shounen title. Some chapters are good but most are easily forgotten.

If you'd like a similar manga where people make wishes for something in exchange, even if it means their lifes, then I would recommend the classic ''Petshop of Horrors''.
