| While Beet the Vandel Buster had the potential to be a worthwhile anime to watch, it ultimately failed to be anything more than a time-waster. There are definitely better series out there that you could watch in the time it would take to go through Beet's forty or so episodes. Ultimately, Beet just seemed a little too childish to be something of value.
I don't usually give harsh reviews, but when I realized how much time I had wasted watching something that ultimately was disappointing, I had no choice.

| The start of the anime is a bit weird but the story turns out not to be that bad at all.
They just rushed too much at the beginning to make the zennon warriors die.I d have liked to see a better developped beginning but oh well...its still worht to be watched.
It reminds me of the manga fly or naruto.
Beet(which is a weird name as i think)'s dream is it to become the greatest vandel buster in the world and to put an end to the dark century.His character is kinda silly and idiotic .He doesn't seem to be that intelligent but he has a very strong will and he recklessly keeps on fighting for his dream.(naruto?*cough*cough*).
It s certainly worth to be watched.Its quite entertaining even tho it isn't the best anime ive ever seen.

| Beet is great show that only needs a chance. I thought it would be a very childish anime after watching the first episode so I stopped watching it for a while. I gave it another chance after seeing my roommate watching an episode and really enjoyed it. It is now currently one of my favorite things to watch.
I like the fact the both the Vandel Busters(humans) and Vandels(Demons)both work to try to gain levels in this series. The Vandels are also very well organized perhaps more organized this the Vandel Busters. I enjoy playing RPGs because you can buy new weapons, armor, and other stuff to upgrade yourself, but while you playing thoses types of games most people never think that main villians could be going to item and weapon shops to get stronger just like you. So I think Beet has some interest ideas in it.
I think if more people gave it a chance it would be a very popular show.

| Animation-Its just bad. The intro seems to have more animation then all the episodes combined. What I mean by that is the fact that they use the cheap method of showing action by showing a ton of still scenes. In one episode you will see an animated fighting sequence that will make you think "that was kind of cool, cant they keep that up?" I suppose the budget was low so thats why we get such cheap animation for 2004.
Sound-Just freaking funny. Its so cheesy at times and sounds like they stole it from some old American B hero flicks.
Story-Ok.. heres the interesting part. I am at about the 18th episode and 2 words come to mind for the story so far. FREAKING AWESOME! It is so cheesy but if you have alot of console RPG experience, this series will bring up a ton of memories. Its just like a RPG video game that you REALLY want to play. Obviously I am judging this series differently then I would anything else. Nos·tal·gi·a
Character-I want to play Beet and rename him in the game if they ever make one.
Value-Id purchase this in America, which is saying alot. Something I can show the kids since its practically bloodless.
Enjoyment-I have not enjoyed an anime up till episode 20 in a LONG time. Usually they are to terrible to get this far or they start off good then get rather stupid for awhile. However, I have thorougly enjoyed this series. I will tell you though, if you are not a big fan of games like Breath of Fire, FF, Dragon Quests etc.. then you will NOT like this series. It is FULL of cheesy monsters, music, animation, drama etc.
Ok.. After 31 episodes.. my opinion is lower. It was cool at first, since it brought back memories but it gets old and worn out. Dropping scores on enjoyment and value.
Episode 36... I dont know know why I liked it so much at first, but now I just fast forward it. Dropping some more scores.

| This anime I recommend it to those who have seen almost every anime that have come out and have nothing else to watch like me.
I dont really enjoy 100% waching this anime but I can say is interesting.

| Beet is more a kid anime more like pokemon, digimon mixed with naruto adventure. The main character is like all the other main character very optimistic and hard working to achive their goals. (best fighter, hokage, best trainer, best buster in this case)
Its like an rpg the main character start at level 1 and the more he kills or defeat stronger monsters they recieve award and level. Altough its a kids anime its kinda fun to watch maybe its because of the character personality like naruto.
The action is more like pokemon its more of the same type of attacks. There's no creatures that they can summon but a saiga(weapons in their soul) Its a pretty interesting adventure(not great) of a boy with special saiga's who tries to be a good buster. If you like naruto,pokemon and stuff try watch this anime you might like it.

| I feel this anime was a lil fast paced. I mean they got the entire Zenon group dying by eps 2... If they would've stretched it out a lil and gave the anime a darker tone it would prolly be good. Plus I don't like the character designs. All the enemies look like a cross between DBZ + Digimon + Megaman. The only character i liked was Zenon. He had like a male Iria look. And the music is annoying. The OP is OK, but they play that "Star Wars type" music over and over. So, if you're looking for another "boy gets super powers and wants to save the world" anime, then this is for you. But, if you're looking for something with substance, look elsewhere. Also, if U like DBZ, then you'll prolly like this. But I hate DBZ, so I don't like this. And, NO, that doesn't have anything to do with my review.

| I like shounen manga and anime. It comes from the fact that I originally hated it. I thought it was too shallow. But now because of the same fact I somtimes find myself drawn to it. I don't think this is the way others have to feel but it is the way I feel. I've just been a otaku too long(since early 90s). At first this anime seemed too simple. The animation is choppy and the character designs tacky. The music is bad and this is very cliched. I am still hanging on and think this could if I hang on long enough get really cool. The main character really reminds me of Goku which I think is a really good thing. Overall despite all it's numerous drawbacks I am looking forward to future episodes and will probably pick up the manga. If you like shounen anime I recommend a look. Try it to episode 4 and see if you might like it.

| I do not like this. Here are some dialouges that made me roll my eyes:
Zenonl: You are a level one.
Beet: If i keep practicing like this i will level up pretty soon"
Zenon: there is a deep connection between us, the busters, and sleep. Having been born as a sleeper...is it possible that he also has that power? (zenon reflects on the news that Beet trains for 2 straight days then sleeps all day on the 3rd)
Has this anime intrigue you yet.
And yes the main characters name is Beet. Not very cool name. But maybe if i was born and live in japan and knew very little english, Beet would be a cool name.
