| Como bien dicen los comentarios, Major es una serie subestimada posiblemente por tratarse de beisbol. Nada más lejos. Es una serie que engancha desde el primer espisodio, con una calidad muy alta y una historia genial.

| Major 1st season is the best out of the three. It sets up a very strong character history for Honda Goro, beginning from Goro's childhood. Out of the three seasons, this season is the only one where I felt a wide range of emotions, as the later two seasons are more focused on Goro's strengthening as a high-school baseballer.
I like Major 1st season the most because of the characters. I found Goro's childhood character to be very noble and brave. After suffering so many events, it was heartwarming to see Goro so strong, independent, and yet so optimistic about baseball.
For those sports fans, Major really makes you want to start playing baseball. Although te games may be a little too repetitive, and Goro wins too many games, I still found it to be entertaining to watch.
For those who want to watch a sports anime with a decently well developed character development that allows the viewer to cheer to really bond with the main character, Major is definitely recommended.

| Initial D, Hajime no Ippo, Hikaru no Go, Wild Striker y ahora Major, se nota que los animes deportivos estan a la alza en estos tiempos.
Major es un anime muy conmovedor capaz de emocionar y tambien ablandar cualquier corazon de roca, jejeje.

| I'm impressed. This is the best sports anime I've seen after Whistle! (soccer anime) & Hajime no Ippo (Boxing anime). For those who enjoyed Whistle!, you'll definitely enjoy this light hearted sports anime. Unlike other sports anime where there seems to be not much or no character development at all, MAJOR has it in great amounts. Each episode shows how the character's outlook on things evolve.
It's great watching Goro learn all kinds of lessons and mature to become a great person and a great baseball player. The characters in the show are cute, like Shimizu.
The only problem I find in MAJOR is the lack of character design. 2 characters in the show are almost identical, namely: Goro's mom and The girl he has interest in (I forgot her name).
Other than lack of character designs, I think this show is totally awesome and is worth looking at for those who enjoy sports anime or light hearted anime.
I'll say this again, even though it's been mentioned NUMEROUS times in previous posts.
This is THE MOST UNDERRATED anime show you'll ever see. I have no idea why it hasn't caught the attention of anyone.

| wow, very nice anime. one of the best sports anime series ever and the best about baseball. amazing how it isnt as popular as it should be outside japan.
unlike most sports animes, character development is more complex and deeper. emotional at times, Major takes us through an intense plot of a boy's growth in a life plagued with tragedy. however, he finds much joy and friends through baseball. to spice things up, the games are intense, enjoyable, and entertainingly (if that word exists) competitive. thus it appeals to raw sports fans as well as those seeking good plot development and a well structured series.
i dont think i can wait any longer for season 2.

| MAJOR is one of the best animes i ever came across.
It was of the MOST underated series ever created.
It is underated not because it is not good; it is just because people are afraid of watching an anime about Baseball.
The other reason is that it's look like an anime for childrens (Kodomo) Which some people don't like, even thou by the review, you should give it a try.
I personally enjoied this anime SO much, i watched the whole thing in only 3 days, waiting for SO much more.
It have something for Everyone!
It's packed with humore, action, and heartbraking drama, Everything done almost perfectly.
One more thing is that you should know the rules of Baseball if you want to fully enjoy it.
Before this i didn't know the rules, but after 3 episoides i couldn't help myself and just learned the rules.
I recommend this to everyone, ANYONE!
GO WATCH IT!

Major like other sport focus on children dream and their will to become a pro. This time they go with baseball, althou we seen something like this b4(H2) Major char goes way back from age 5 @ 1st ep. then after the major twist in his life, the story fast forward and he turns 9.
There're 3 things on Major story. Adult life about Goro parent which they keep meet unfounate events. Goro's dream about baseball and how he want to follow his dad step. And lastly(still developing) about Goro romance life. They mix these 3 in very well and try hard not to make us sad when someone gone. The flow keep going and make you want to watch more.
About the baseball play. Major try to not exagerate thing up(like other sport anime/movie). These are elementary school kid baseball and they try to make it so. Most pitchers still throw a basic(fast ball) ball, only special char can throw certain(curve, fork, change-up) ball. This. I believe it's the best way to make thing more realistic and I like it very much. The pace between play is good too. A normal game(6 inn for kids) would took ep or 2, no lagging, no stretching, it perfectly show well.
Oh yea, there're touching and sappy times too. Usually Goro will say something cool from time to time and Shizumu will blush. Gotta love romance between Ryoko, Shizimu, and Goro. Wahhh Can't wait for 2nd season. Goro gonna pwnt by both girl haha.

| The hardest thing about watching sports anime is to get other people to watch them with you. Major may be that show that breaks the mold. Mostly because it does have a sense of realism and the focus shifts away from baseball half the time into a family drama. The story writing is excellent because it makes you feel a connection with the characters. You can't help but root for them at every episode. The drama also gets so intense that even I gto choked up at certain eps. All in all, give Major a chance. It is more than just about baseball.

| This show has gone completely under the radar and turned into a phenomenal drama. You dont even have to be a fan of baseball to enjoy this anime. The characters and how they handle life's drama is the true strength of Major. It is true that the story is somewhat predictable but somehow the writers keep you wanting more. If Major maintains its pace, it will rank up there with Hajime no Ippo as one of the best sports anime. Actually best anime in general.

| Overall I have been impressed with what I have seen. This is a sports anime that has some other story elements that I find interesting mixed in with it. This is the best baseball anime I've come across so far.

| This anime is rated way too low. Someone previously said the anime is too predictable, but this anime never tries to be sneaky. The opening op sequence is proof of that. Major is anime drama at its best with characters that you can really care about. You might even shed a tear during certain scenes. If you are the sentimental type like me, you will really enjoy Major!

| Let me first start off and say this anime is oriented towards a younger audience, equally for male or female. The animation and sound are nothing special, and might even have an older look to them. Quite a bit of drama and a lot of school scenes. The plot isn't anything special, just full of obstacles that the main character has to get by, and it touches the problems that kids could have at school, such as bullying, courage, love, etc. The baseball itself isn't put on too thick, but it centers around the obstacles as a object. Overall, if you like schoolkids animes, this is probably for you.

| After 6 Episodes:
The story follows a little boy (Goro), and his dad. The first 6 episodes focus more on his dad and his baseball career. Then, it will switch to focusing on Goro more. The story mainly deals with their love for each other, and for baseball. You'll follow his dad in the Majors (Japan), and Goro, in little league.
