Don’t be fooled by this one. It may have a "Record of Lodoss Wars" appeal to it, but I felt it was just too bland of story after I saw those only two episodes. I couldn't believe I bought this tape a long time ago. It just leaves you in a middle of story, with a typical plot. I even tried to like it, but there is almost nothing here that seems to be interesting or even exciting. The only thing I can remember on this one was when they were protecting some town, involving with a lot of characters that are just running around and fighting some monsters. That's probably the only highlight of it, with no interesting twists or difference of the character’s personality. It’s like a really bad RPG, except you are watching it. It didn’t even have any ending to it either, it just left you hanging. Highly not recommended.

Thought I would review this since I just finished up the first half of Fire Emblem 3. Well, Fire Emblem is a good strategy/RPG series by Nintendo, and where most Americans are going to be familiar with the series are from Roy and Marth from Super Smash Bros: Melee. That's cuse the series has never been released in the US. Nothing outside this anime, that is. This two episode OAV is about Marth, now named Mars, and I can't say much about it, since its one of those infamous incomplete anime that stupid companies brought over in large numbers years ago. It looks like it mimics the storyline from the game its based on, which is your typical prince saves the world from a tyrant type thing while saving cute chicks in the process. The storyline from the game wasn't memorable, and here its' simply incomplete. I've always enjoyed Fire Emblem's character design, though nobody would dare compare it to Satoshi Urishibara's work in Langrisser. Animation is crisp, and the few battles depicted in the series look better than a Lodoss War OAV fight. I don't think anyone should watch this, simply cuse its incomplete. Not even FE fans, unless they simply must see Marth in action.
