| Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan translates roughly to "Clubbing to Death Angel Dokuro-chan". Needless to say, I was a little confused about the title! Anywho, this short anime lacked any real story, skipped important plot points, but was probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen! While it may lack substance, the death animations were hilarious and they would just throw in the most random acts as if it were normal, like turning the class rep into a monkey and leaving him that way. If you are looking for a pointless ecchi/comedy anime that will make you laugh, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is for you!

| Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is the tale of Sakura Kusakabe, a loser hero that invents something important in the future. Because of this, someone is wanting to go back in time and kill him before he does this. Enter Dokuro-chan, an angel from the future that wields a large, spiked baseball bat and has quite a number of anger management issues. She's supposed to protect Sakura but ends up killing and ressurecting him over and over.
What's the difference between this and Hare and Guu? Well, Hare and Guu was sweet and endearing, and more importantly, funny. This is extremely violent, too much blood flows and it is NOT FUNNY. Worst of all, when Dokuro-chan gives us some fanboy service, I was like "I DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS!!"

| Okay seriously this comedy only made me laugh two times. Okay well for starters animation always never lets me down. Nice solid especially the blood flowing. BLOOD?! Yes blood. You may think this is an innocent anime at first, but you're completely wrong. This girl Dokuro uses her flail to behead Sakura the main male character. Yes at first I'm like okay interesting. But then... 3 minutes later oh look he got smashed again into bits of pieces with lots of blood as usual. Not funny gets really repetitive and annoying. I mean ugh. But hey the halo removing part was very good. I didn't expect something like that would happen.
And angels trying to kill the Sakura? This is the main story. Angels are trying to kill him OH NO! Well yeah it gets started in episode 2 and the last 2 episodes. But in the meantime its just slaughter of Sakura. Poor kid. What's weird is Dokura doesn't kill him huh... Well I really don't want to spoil the story. Ah well basically she just enjoys being around Sakura and enjoys playing with him. Basically killing him is like a game to her.
So there you have it. If you do not like seeing intestines then yeah don't watch it. They're blown to bits.

| Enjoyable, but pointless. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is a fun anime to watch if you're in for a laugh. There's nothing remotely serious about it, and from the first scene it takes all the rules of traditional romance anime and smear it all over the wall... with blood. 10 minutes into the show you're already know what's in store, and setting yourself up to what's coming - Pretty much a lot more of the same, only probably a lot more gory. Kinda reminiscent of the finale episode of "Excel Saga", but multiplied by 10.

| I didn't really enjoy this show. I wasn't disturbed by the blood and other fluids, it was more the "joke" section which disappoints me.
In short, it relies only on old jokes in ecchi moments and a some-what random effect of Dokuro-chan killing Sakura with Excaliborg. I cannot deny I smiled from times to times and maybe laughed once in a moment of madness, but I quickly become tired of the situation.
In the whole anime, I didn't meet once a surprising joke, since it was all too expected. To be honest, I didn't expect the diarrheas stuff.
Worse, the story feels way too serious to be funny. To sum up, random and repetitive jokes in complete inadequation with a semi-serious romance story are the ingredients of this comedy, and I didn't enjoy them at all.
Note also that a substantial part of the "plot" is centered around lolicon, but nothing really offending here.
On a (single) positive note, the ending song was quite good.
In other terms, do not watch it.

| Highly overrated. Not too impressive, although very funny and over-the-top. The adjectives to describe it are; bizarre, obscene, DISTURBING, revolting, unpredictable, perverted, weird and frightening. And don't forget HILARIOUS. One minute into the first episode, and Pow! - I won't spoil surprise. But come on! Bloody as hell, but more comical than serious. However, it is mildly enjoyable in it's strange little way.

| For the longest time, I hesitated to watch this because of the excessive amount of blood, dismembering and horrible disfiguring there is. However, despite this sickening factor it is not a bad watch and I had quite a few chuckles from time to time. In the end, Bokusatsu Tenshi is an interesting combination of moe and gross humor - ranging from random "innocent" killings of Sakura (the male character) to meaningless reasons to vomit or have diarrhea.
Not for everyone. Please look at some screenshots of the gore to get at least some idea of what you're getting into. It is pretty humorous at times, but if you can't stand this sick combination of blood and overly cute girls, then this is your worst nightmare.

| Bokusatsu Tenshi was Pretty Good. Funny with a Little Gore & Stupidity...
Animation was quite modern, & I find no fault with it, & It's Quite good. The Characters look Good & The Ending Theme was Different Everytime, which makes it different. No Complaints here in Animation...
Then Sound. I thought the Opening theme was Cute... "Pipiru Piru Piru Pipiru Pi..." But the Ending theme was a bit boring. There was no problem with the Seiyuus, but there was nothing really special. So I give it a 7.
The Story is more towards Comedious and Dreamy rather than reality. It is Funny, and quite unique if i must say. Living with an Angel that keeps killing you.
The Characters were all right. There was no real character development, & the main character just kept getting killed by Dokuro-chan.
Overall, This anime is a Comedy, Ecchi Anime... Stupid, funny, With Blood & Gore Added to it... I don't think this anime would be better if it had more episodes. 8 episodes X 10 minutes is enough for this anime. & I think this anime was rather All right.
It's Worth Your Time, & you would have a couple of laughs over the Ecchiness & Naivity of Sakura and the Stupidity, Bossiness & Manipulative Quality of Dokuro-chan and her bat, Excaliborg...

| This 8x25min ep is not about ecchi, but more towards gore and violence made nicely into an ecchi anime. At first the violence annd blood is ok with the anime, but then it gets bored really really fast.
The animatoin and sound are ok, the animation is very very clean, and for ecchi, this really has little of it. The bloof scenes are all over this anime.
As for the story, it has no relation with each ep, though each ep has quite the normal storyline you expect from an ecchi anime. its not band, but its not something new at all.
Characters are not unique, though dokuro and the other two angels looks nice, the rest are quite annoynomous. The character development is little, and I am still not sure if this is an ecchi/love story, or a waste of time. And more likely this is a waste of time, and those who see the anime after seeing the info about this, are most probably attracted to Dokurochan.
There is really little value, as there is no proper music in this anime. The BGM is not that good, and the story is too easy.
Best stay away from this.

| I decided to pick up Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan after reading from reviewers of Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu that this is very similar. I was however a little disappointed with this. The humour here is nowhere as funny or intelligent as JwIHnG. While the elements are there, it just do not have the capacity nor wit to meet JwIHnG. The gore, while an instrument for its humour, became tiring and ineffective in the later part of the anime. Seeing that this is a short series, it is probably just a side project the creators decided to do for fun.
Nonetheless, it is unique in its own way and if you don't have anything else better to watch, Dokuro-chan may be a good time waster.

| This anime is definitely one that is all for the entertainment of it all. Seriously though, all you can expect is a few chuckles and a lot of blood, but that's probably well-spent time seeing as how it was just under two hours in total run-time.
If BTD was any longer than it was, then it probably would have just fallen apart. Pretty much just stick with it for the action and then you can put it out of your mind afterwards!

| (Triad's uncensored fansub, good translation as in Narutaru, though some long subtitles appeared for less than 1,5 second)
I'm not much into comedy animes. Perhaps the best one I've seen was Ping Pong Club, at least in terms of ecchi and sexual references. But in terms of combining blood, splatter, gore, ecchi and sexual jokes in a comedic way, BTD delivers well what it promises. Another anime that wouldnt make it on Western TV, even if it was censored.
I've also read the first 5 scanlated chapters of the manga by Animewaves. the manga was also very funny (perhaps even funnier so far I've read), but not that violent. TV as a medium is more influential after all.
The show is like a gory version of Rizelmine and as such it is good that it consists only of 1 manga and 8 short episodes or it would be very tedious.
The animation is very good and the characters look cute. Dokuro is perhaps of the best and funniest kawaii characters I've seen and the anime is worth watching for her alone and her reactions.
Sakura was also funny and I almost felt sorry for him though he got what he deserved since he has so many masochistic tendencies even if he was offered the chance to lead a normal life.
True the violence and splatter may not appeal to all and besides that there isnt really anything worth remembering (what romance?).
Watch it once since this is one of the view politically incorrect animes that is funny, even if the fun fades in the middle but not that much.
Since the rest of the animes I'm going to watch will be serious or abstract I appreciated Dokuro-chan much more.
If only Elfenlied was like that too.

| Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is an illogical pointless and annoying anime consisting of 8 13 minute long episodes with some pretty funny ecchi moments.
The animation is decent and well drawn. The occasional changes in style are good and some animated moments are quite funny. There is nothing to complain about regarding the animation of this anime.
The music and voice acting in this anime is just plain annoying. Repetition happens too often in my opinion, and anything containing that awful chant of reverse time (or whatever it does) annoys the hell out of me.
If there is a story at all in this anime, it is illogical and pointless. There is some pretty decent ecchi in this anime, and those moments can be funny, but I would recommend watching this anime without expecting a storyline at all.
Mindless characters which do and say stupid things can be seen throughout this anime. Over reacting happens very often (too often) and the reactions are idiotic most of the times. This could be a reason as to why the series lacks a storyline.
The anime is very short, but that might be a good thing as I doubt I could have survived hearing that annoying chant again. Nothing worth remembering about in this anime, except for maybe some intereting ecchi moments.
I for one did not enjoy this anime. But if you are someone who is looking for pointless ecchi, then try this, you might just enjoy it.

| TOOOOO SHORT! This anime was very very fun but it was too short.
Graphics are excellent, subtle colored, cute characters, nice enviornments and smooth animation. Which is pretty much standard now. Sounds are also top notch, and i really like the opening and ending themes. Pipirupiru pipiru piiiiiii
Story is bit wierd.. angels come from future ( and not heaven ?) to stop a boy from inventing something bad (which they never really explained in detail). But overall, its quite functional story, given that animes like this hardly need a story..
Now this anime is seriously violent and bit ecchi. So ppl who get ofended by that might not like it (much like Elfen-Lied). But its pure comedy, and its extreme fun.
If you want a short, fun anime that you can finish easy, get this one!

| This anime is bloody ass fun. At first reading the word TENSHI and looking at cute picture of a girl on this site, I quickly thought that this anime was a children's anime. I was quite wrong for that matter. This anime is one hell of a gory, hillarious, and short comedy meant to make us laugh for 8 episodes. Thought there isn't much character or story to talk about, this anime work much like in Azumanga Daioh, just lot more bloody and ecchi.
the story simple. Sakura and an angel from future has come to protect him from an assassin, but in the process of it he gets blown to pieces countless times and is ressurected through the angelic power.
Sakura is a perverted middle schooler who supposely creates a pedofile machine in the future and angels are trying to kill him to prevent it. Dokuro is the one trying to protect Sakura.
Sakura is a slightly perverted middler schooler, and Dokuro is a violent ditzy, and strangely innocent angel. That's really all I can say about the story and characters. No development, no real content to talk about.
this anime however never gets bored, and that's largely thanks to its comedy and animation. Not to mention that animation is very good, its varying style is hillarious. I was really screaming laughing at someof the scenes. If you watched distorted faces in the golden boy or GTO I think you can get a good idea of how ugly people can look, but with a very cute flare. Gushing blood atfirst suprised me. But quickly it became funny. The gory part of this anime is in line with what you would see in Kill Bill.
Another great thing about this anime is its length. This anime never takes itself seriously throughout 8 episodes (but really 4 cuz each episode is about 12 minutes long). The whole anime passed by breakneck pace, and before you knowit its over. If this anime was longer the comedy would've failed to work due to overuse. Smart decision by the makers to keep it short and funny.
Of course this anime won't appeal to everyone. It may be a bit stupid, may be sad, perhaps disturbing... Hey but if you think poor guy's head getting blown off and blood gushing out and reviving in 2 second by a cute angel is funny go ahead and try this.
There really isn't much to talk about except tha this anime is short and funny. though this is no way the best anime or excellent anime, but I think I can confidenty say that this anime is entertaining and will make you laugh for hour and half if you can tolerate some blood and ecchi. I sure had plenty of fun watching this anime.
~ oh and reviewer above me is exactly right. They do rip poor guys head off for basis of being funny.

| While the first half of Dokuro-chan was hilarious, but the last half was dull and predictable, especially the finale. The characters weren't full enough to support the conclusion that it came to, but a good time as had (most of the time) by all along the way. So I will not judge Dokuro-chan by it's ending, but by the sum of it's parts. And if you should choose to watch this, please try to keep in mind that an anime is not detrmined by it's ending.
But when it's funny, it's hilarious. The humor is over-the-top, and when it slows itself down for the third episode, the gags just flat-out don't work. Seeing how it's not too long, I think that if you want to laugh, this should be a good show.
All this is coming from someone who thought that "Jungle wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu" was a snore, and this is from the same director...

| "Pipiru piru piru pipiru pi!"
Featuring plenty of perversion, blood, gore, vile jokes, and over-sexed-up 12-year-olds, _Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan_ was a series that partly amused me, and partly repulsed me. It is, in the end, a parody. Stuff like plot and developed characters are not necessary here.
This series tries to be cutesy and a twisted harem (where the girls want to kill the main character instead...), and I can't deny it probably does a good job here. Plus there's some amusing references to other manga and even a "charming" parody of Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis". Unfortunately, this series just wasn't for me as a whole. I think I spent most of the series rolling my eyes rather than actually chuckling. The humor here is rather low-brow. Maybe I'm just too old for this...
It's possible that I might enjoy this series better when completely drunk. Or high. I really don't have a desire to be either, though. It might work better watching with a group of people. Maybe the explosive diarrhea and pedophile jokes would amuse me more then...
If you're curious, give the first couple of episodes a try.

| Dokuro-chan is directed by the same guy who directed Haré+Guu. It shows as Dokuro is the extreme version of H+G.
So the basic idea is a nice guy who is paired with psychotic girl. Where Guu used a clever combination of physical and mental ways to torture Hale, Dokura relies on brute force and a bat. Which is also where it fails. It's probably because H+G used the same idea but with a clearly better execution that Dokuro tired me quickly. For first two double episodes I was laughing at the excessive violence and snappy humor. Then the series probably realizes that killing Sakura isn't going to last anymore and takes a more sentimental approach. That spells suicide. Feelings of affection don't fit the series at all. It remains mildly entertaining but any true feelings of amusement are gone.
Storywise Dokuro has a couple of interesting ideas but the main plot is standard for romantic comedies. Which is ok because it clearly isn't what the series aims at. Characters follow the humor: at the beginning when the relationship between Dokuro and Sakura is fresh, they work very well. But when the humor loses its egde, so lose the characters. They only work as comedic devices and not as any real persons. Not to mention that Zakuro-chan isn't that cool.
Animation is nice and colorful with some cool (and violent) effects. It was really surprising to see real animal faces in the animation. The opening song is funny as hell but the ending song seems out of place with its melancholic melody. While the BGM is rather forgettable, the voice actors do a good job capturing the characters.
Dokuro-chan is a light afternoon snack that you can watch best with few twisted-minded friends. For a better version, which lasts for one tv and two OVA series, watch Haré+Guu.

| Erk. I wrote up a reasonably long, overly objective review of Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, full of reasons why it wasn't as funny as it COULD have been, and of course Animenfo ate it as I clicked the Submit button. Perhaps God was trying to tell me something? "Now, now, Drew. You don't have to tear the poor OVA apart. It's just 8 episodes of angels beating people to death." And you know, he was right. In all its remedial glory, Dokuro-chan is just a brief little series waiting to entertain you and any friends you choose to watch it with. (And that's the best option, trust me. Everything's five times as funny if you see it with your friends.) It's unabashedly stupid and wildly entertaining, the perfect popcorn anime for a slow day when you have nothing better to do and two hours to burn.
The one fault that must be mentioned, however, is the series distinctly slows down in quality from one end to the next. Episodes 1 and 2, both of which are the same file, are easily the best in the series, full of hilarious gags and biting wit. Though the anime remains funny, it does not stand up to this previously established tier, and finally by the ending you will probably be groaning with its stomach-turning contrivances. If you don't laugh or even crack a smile during the first two episodes, just stop right there. You'd be wasting your time to watch anything else.
This anime is basically like South Park with not nearly as much to do, as far as the sight gags and unexpected intelligence go. It does try to have a plot, unlike its American counterpart, but unfortunately it completely fails. All it serves as is a vehicle to deliver more characters, more mayhem and more wackiness. But who the hell cares? That's the name of the game in Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan! It would be nothing without its breakneck energy and insanity. Nothing but another generic schoolgirl comedy...and because it is NOT that, I must commend this series most of all for its originality.
And because it's damn funny.

| This is an anime that the story doesn't matter at all. All you'll do is to literally laugh out loud and falling out of your seat! This anime is definitely not for the faint hearted. It has a lot of gore, dark humour, ecchi, but mostly blood filled gore.
The animation is great, it's filled with lots of blood and colourful animation. This is definitely one of the best animation I've seen in a while.
The voice cast is great, Saeko Chiba really brings out the character in Dokuro-chan, one minute you'll find her sweet and the other minute you'll find her the most evil person ever!
While there is some kind of story in Dokuro-chan, it doesn't really matter at the end because no one will be paying attention to it. The main point is to make a lot of bloody and ecchi joke that makes fun of the main character. All the parodies and jokes are great and it doesn't get old.
The characters here are made to focused on Dokuro, all the rest of them doesn't really matter. And you really don't see any character development but that doesn't matter at all.
This is definitely one anime you don't want to miss if you like comedy, gore and ecchi.
