Ichigo 100% is about a (extremely lucky) guy who has girls falling for him left and right. Sadly for the girls, the guy can't decide crap and leaves the poor girls fighting for a black hole.

It's a fair watch and the characters (other than the lead) are for the most part believable. There are better shows in the genre but it's good if you have time to kill.

Note that there is an extremely large amount of fan service in the form of upskirts and fondling. Also note that there is no magic/robots/flying turtles nonsense.

From the start it seems that Ichigo 100% had potential, until Manaka's confession to Nishino, that really sealed the fate of this series. It was really random that Nishino would suddenly fall for Manaka and then it proceeds on to add Satsuki and Toujo to the line up.

Story wise, this anime really didn't manage to make it end in a satisfying manner, due to the fact that Manaka just wouldn't acknowledge his feelings for any of the girls, and if things couldn't get any worse, it goes into the endless cycle of showing alot of upskirt scenes and alot of cleavage. Pointless stuff really, because it didn't help to progress the story at all.

The characters of the show has got to be it only saving factor, each character has got this personality that makes him/her unique. But i don't take any particular preference for anyone of them.

Music wise, the OP is rather easy on the ears and I think it's quite melodious. The ED is catchy but not really my cup of tea.

Overall, Ichigo 100% is really just an average anime which isn't really memorable due to the fact that it cannot conclude the story at all. Worth only 1 watch.

This anime is a good attempt to bring the manga to life, but sadly it does not live to the hype of the manga. If you like the manga, don't watch this, it does not do justice.

Description is rather vagued...The male lead made his way to the roof of his middle school and found a girl falling down showing her panties.Interesting...(my first thought)

Moving on...,I am utterly disappointed that this is trailing the way to our usual Harem/L-R.Sure,I have no problem watching till the end but it must be a pain to watch for those who really can't stand these kind of animes.
Besides...in this anime, you have absolutely nothing to worry about except for the relationship between the male lead and the girls. And we are able to watch so many cute girls!

Yea,wake up now.Other than the characters ,I cannot find anything to enjoy about.Plus,I wonder how many time did they try to use this 'trip and fall' trick to push the male lead and one of the girls together.I've lost count.

The ending is sooooo inconclusive that you had no choice but to continue with the ovas.
If you are expecting something serious, you got the wrong one.

Ichigo 100% is an anime that leaves a warm fuzzy feeling in you when you finish watching it. But it also leaves a bitter taste, because the anime doesn't completely tell you how the anime ends.

Ichigo 100% is a harem anime with four girls, but the main character mentions three girls. The main character is undecisive. (The most undecisive main character in a harem anime ever) He gets four nice girls over him, but yet he can't choose one. The story starts with a beautiful girl falling from the roof and the main character who's name is Junpei falls in love with her. He then finds a notebook which belongs to that mysterious girl and tries to find her. But when he finds her she is not what he expects. Basically a big love-romance mess and I really liked the episodes wtih the girls. You have your nice/kind one, energetic/fun girl, clumsy/childhood friend girl, and Nishino.

Junpei is the main lead character and the one that somehows gets three girls to fall in love with him. He is very undecisive and sometimes you'll like him for doing the right thing. Only to mess up in the next couple of minutes.

Toujou is the nice/caring girl in which the anime tries to lean toward the most. She is the one that is always kind to Junpei and I think she is the only girl that hasn't hit him.

Satsuki is the energetic/fun girl. Somehow I didn't like her, but a whole bunch of viewers like her. She isn't afraid to share her feelings. She confesses to Junpei a bazillion times and is always honest about her feelings. Yet, sometimes I find her quite annoying.

Nishino is well ummm ...... I can't find anything to describe Nishino. How about caring? She is the one that cares about Junpei and what he wants to do. She is also the first one to go on a date with Junpei.

Yui is like a side character. She isn't one of the candidates for Junpei's lover, she's more like a childhood friend. She's fun and brings enjoyment to the anime. Plus she also helps Junpei choose which girl he likes the most.

The animations are average for a 2005 anime. Like the backgrounds aren't that shaded in well and the details in the backgrounds aren't that creative and bright and vivid. The OP and ED were excellent and set the mood of the anime well. Also the character's voice actors were good as well. Only complaint is the boring background music you have in the anime. I don't even remember one single tune of the background at all.

Watch it for enjoyment, but you may find yourself disappointed at the end.

I've been getting into harem anime lately, so I decided to see what Ichigo 100% was all about. What a mistake, I have to say that this anime embodies the worst aspects of the harem subgenre.

While I have no real problems with the technical aspects of it, such as the animation or sound, the story and characters leave much to be desired.

I found the female characters to be one dimentional copies of female characters we've seen in other harem anime. Junpei (the male lead) takes indecision to a whole new level (and trust me, it's a place you don't want to see.)

The basic plot is three girls (four if you count the 'little sister' character) have all managed to get themselves stuck in orbit around Junpei's black hole of indecision. Every episode he decides on one (sometimes two) different girls than the last episode, usually for no clear reason other than physical proximity to Junpei. Once you think he's finally done with one, she'll show back up two or three episodes later, just to irritate the audience.

...and all the girls put up with this! For over a year that the story unfolds!

While the genre tag for Ichigo 100% claims this to be a comedy, I didn't see it as such. There really wasn't anything funny in it at all.... other than the fan-service panty shots and trip over each other for "accidental" breast gropes. Honesty, take all those out and this would be a drama! In something like "Love Hina" those kind of scenes are expected and seem to come natuarally, but in Ichigo 100% those scenes seem really forced to try to turn this drama into a comedy.

I should have taken my cue to abandon this series early when the fan-sub I was watching had messages like "Why are you still watching this, it sucks!" after episode 10. :)

If you are getting into the harem anime subgenre, this would probably not be a good starting choice. I would recommend Love Hina, Chobits, Shuffle!, etc as better places to fulfill your harem anime itch.

In summary: Give this one a pass.

After watching the first few episodes, i really wanted to see more. He see's this hot girl with strawberry panties on his school building rooftop, she fell down and he see's her underwear. He fell in love, she dropped a notebook right after she ran off. Yet the girl of the notebook is a Nerd looking girl, definatly not the girl from the buildings rooftop. I thought, great way to start a Anime of this genre.

After seeing more and more of this Anime, i became more and more intrested. Around episode 11 i wondered, how will this end, just 1 episode to go!

I watched and watched, then episode 12 arrived. I watched it all, and i was really dissapointed. The whole story got "raped" by it's ending. What girl did he pick? What become of his dreams? What about the girl from the rooftop?

All these questions were unanswered, i was really dissapointed. After reading the Manga from where the Anime left off, i understood it all. The manga is definatly a great one, definatly to be seen!
But the Anime in this case deserves to be not watched. It's an ok Anime for Humor and Harem, but it's ending is plain worthless.

Forget about the anime. Read the manga.

I've not done that yet, and perhaps fortunately so. Because if I had, I would be even more disappointed with the anime.

It follows a pretty standard harem plot of one boy being the center of attention of more than one girl (in this case, three).

In terms of character development, there is some, but not enough to interest me.

Overall, I would say this is something good for those days when you are at a loss as to what to watch. Pop it in the DVD player, sit back and relax.

This is the story of a kid who would by most standards be considered a loser but that somehow wins the hearts of three beautifull girls by showing them his good points........ ... Good points?

ANIMATION: Hmm, not too shabby, not too great either. One reason I wouldnt give this a ten is cause the female characters are all just too perfect looking. Now now, I know im nit-picking, but thats what reviews are for right? and besides, who really gives a crap what some random dude says about an anime anyway?
Aside from that, I like all the animation, although for a show about a guy who is the director of a highschool movie club, they shure didnt have too many good "camera angles" meaning most of the scenes were all: Bleah, show the characters and a little background and thats about it.
Manaka Has a Bad Ass Mullet ^_^

SOUND: Well now, I just happened to like the tracks to this anime. BUT, I especially liked the ending theme which is probably why I gave it such a high score. Sometimes I catch myself humming it around the house... hehe

STORY: Well basically theres this dude (Manaka) who is a pretty good guy who has the hobby of film makeing. He meets a girl who was kindof a geek but who was a generally nice person. She was always overlooked because she was so plain. The guy becomes her friend and encourages her to follow her dream thus changeing her life. Along the way a semi-complicated love triangle (or square?) evolves and is not resolved at the end of the story (It is however resolved in the manga version ~_^)

CHARACTER: Manaka is a suck for not being able to choose a girl in the anime. Nishino is a popular cutie who for reasons unexplaind in the anime (but sorta explained in the manga) likes Manaka. Toujou is a smart and gentle girl who gets along well with Manake due to their similar interests and also seacretly likes Manaka (its possible that im confuseing the anime and manga here ^_^!'' sorry folks). Kitaooji is a girl who initially didnt like Manaka, but after time becomes the girl that goes after him the hardest (pick this one Manaka, you dumbass!)
In short, Manaka is a loser and the three female leads are all perfect little angels in their own ways, but that didnt take away from the story one bit so yay... i guess.

VALUE: I do belive ill watch it again right after I finish this review ^_^ This show is definately in my top ten animes, but hey, thats just cause im a fan of the Ecchi/love/comedy stories

ENJOYMENT: I enjoyed this anime a lot <snif snif> it CHanged my life T_T (or was it the manga?,, oh well it was both)

PS: SORRY FOR THE OVERLY LONG REVIEW
PPS: SORRY FOR MAKEING IT EVEN LONGER
______________________________
EDIT: I changed ,y rateing for animation because after watching it again I noticed that it was preeety bad in places

EDIT 2: ok this show sucks... go read the manga instead

It’s been a while since I last watched something from this genre (ecchi, drama, romance). I thought I've seen them all, and with all the disappointment I've shoved this genre until I encountered an H doujin from Tukumi Daifuku. Yes, what introduced me back to this genre is an H doujin (the art is great probably surpasses even the anime). I had this anime piling dusts in my bedroom and decided to watch it because the girl in the doujin is cute, but it introduced me back to drama anime.

Ichigo 100% reminds me of my days in high school (in my dreams, of course). The first few episodes bring me back to Love Hina. A geeky looking girl, really cute when glasses removed and hair unbraided plus the entrance exam for Izumizaka. I have a low tolerance regarding animes copied from other titles or something I've already seen before. But right now, for me, this anime surpasses Love Hina. You see, in Love Hina they did so many unnecessary things which I didn't like, it was weird in a sense especially towards the last part in the manga; fight scenes galore. In addition, essence of the the "childhood promise" was lost towards the end.

This anime reminded me of all that, I said if this ended up like Love Hina, I'm willing to give up on this genre, but I'm glad it didn't. In comparison, ecchi, comedy and drama is equally distributed in this series. Not too much ecchi (I'd rather watch H), not too much comedy (which will end up like Love Hina), and not too much drama (like Boys Be). I was really moved especially the dorama-like background music in some scenes. But more importantly, it was Toujou Aya that made me like this anime. A bit personal but I really fell in love with her in the series, probably the type of girl I really want to meet.

All in all for a 12-episode series the introduction of characters and the plot advancement is nicely done. I’m not too particular about the ending because before I started watching, I already have my copies of the manga and perfectly understood it would not end well, there is still oavs right. Even though it came from an ecchi genre the music and the story gave it a dorama feel. Right now I'm not even in the middle of reading Ippo manga (26 out of 76) but this time it’s the fighting anime I'm willing to set aside to read the whole 19 volumes of this manga.

One of the worst anime series I've seen.

Like other harems, it has a cliche/idiotic plot which goes absolutely nowhere i guess what makes it dimly unique is the fetish with strawberries...

more and more problems like ridiculous fan-service, horrible/uselses/pointless/annoying characters

AVOID THIS at all costs and it deserves its spot in like the TOP 10 worst

This got to be one of the better series i have seen.

The animation blew me away as there was always the calm serene feeling in the story. The carelessness of childhood was exhibited in everey scene.

The sound was also great as teh voice actors matched almost perfectly with teh characters on the screen. The music was also briliant.

The story, even though i rated it so low, was good the flow of the show was realistic. The main character keep meeting new people and he wasnt stuck with the girls of the past. The idea of many girls liking one guy has been overused but this adds a new fuuny twist to things. The ending though felt uncomplete (thus the 8). I sure you will too.

The character were the best. all unbelievable. All almost human but not. The characters in this show aren't like normal harem characters, they have feelings. not just dolls. The girls were also different from each other and appealed to junpei(male) in different ways. Thus making his choice harder.

THe value of the story is also low because it didn't have a good ending and left a lot of things open. However this is diffenetly a enjoyable show as the comedy and the few feelings expressed are done superbly.

I went on to see why the ending was so incomplete and found out that this was from a manga and that the anime doesn't cover all the manga. I so happens that the anime only covered 60 of the 167 chapters in the manga. the manga goes much further and has a much better ending.

For anyone who wants to read the manga and a place to get them, email me at lekhaj@gmail.com.

I would still watch the anime because it gives you a chance to her actual voices to the characters. Also it was a great show in terms of enjoyment.

Haha, this series is funny and entertaining! Stereotypical harem--average guy one day finds multiple babes falling all over him. Surprisingly good fanservice, I have to admit I kind of liked it. It's not called fanservice for nothing! Short series and moves along quickly without a heavy story--each ep is like 2 in one. Guy dreams of making movies and of course has to decide on which beauty to choose, that's the story. High school teacher has a rocking body and hangs out with the students as well, what else can you expect. Paradise!

This is immature indulgence but it's great. Recommended if you're a fan of harems. Neutral otherwise, and if you're uptight then don't bother. Opening and closing theme songs are high quality. Part of why this series is funny is just because it's soo haremish and has gratuitous ecchi scenes that you can't help but laugh. What can I say, it really makes you want to be the main guy. Btw I don't think any girls would like this series.

This is your typical story about a bunch of beautiful girls falling for one regular nice guy. Normally, I would shy away from this kind of show, but it did have some merit in its execution of this romance story. It is definitely worth a watch, but I hate how the ending leaves the story unfinished without us knowing who our protagonist ultimately chooses (we don't find out in the OVA either).

Well I can't say this anime is horrible nor great. It fell within the average range. To put it simple and clear. It's a harem, focussing on four girls loving one guy.

Toujo shares the same view on his dreams. Nishino finds him to be a motivation. Satsuki thinks he is kind. Yui is his childhood friend.

The art is nothing new. Just simple art style. However I hate how stupid the protagonist looked.

Sound is alright...The protagonist sounds like a squeaky ten year old sometimes. A plus for this anime is the lively, upbeat ending song.

Story... it's somewhat crap if you seen a harem before. It all focusses on the idea of an all girl - one guy love relationship.

Characters have a been there done that feel. The protagonist is ridiculous. Makes me wonder why girls, even if they're fictional, would fall for such a person. He's indecisive, poor charisma, looks dorky, and has a squeaky voice when he's excited.

The anime is decent. I can't recommend it to anyone except people who can't live without seeing another harem. It's worth a single watch but poses no qualities to be worth seeing a second, third, fourth, etc. time.

-Side Note-
WHAT IS WITH THE OBSESSION WITH STRAWBERRIES?!?! ^_^

While the Jump Festa OAV was silly, cute and inconsequential, it had a reason - it was only 30 minutes. When a harem series has 6 hours to work with, it is expected to do a little more than illicit cheap laughs. We're supposed to care about the characters at the end, and cheer the protagonist on as he fucks up time after time...

...and Ichigo 100% suceeded mildly at this. I'm a heterosexual lady, and several times I found myself going "You know, I would probably like Junpei too...". Yes, he's a loser, but he's so honest he's instantly likeable. It is very obvious that the source material came from a woman, once you get past all the pointless shots of panties, it's obvious that the men are also made into fantisies. Well, Junpei at least. He is honest, sincere, sensitive, and still completely manly. A scene that comes to mind is when he picks out a different color scarf for each girl - he has each of them engraved in his mind, so he can determine which color would look best on each of them. I have never met a man this observant, and if I did, I'd probably be as in love with him as these girls are in love with Junpei. Junpei also regularily complements the girls clothing, and again, I've never met a man that did this...in any case, the men don't act like real men, and the women are really realistic (no matter how irritating they are), and that's something that has NEVER been done before. I would compare Junpei to Hideki from Chobits (yet another series aimed at males created by women). While the characters are the best point of Ichigo 100%, some of the female characters are extremely irritating (Yui...) and when they get their own story, you'll be crying with boredom.

There are lots of flaws in the execution of this series (since it's pretty much guaranteed that you will DESPISE at least one character, and not all the jokes work.), but I think it's great for couples to watch.

I also really enjoyed the ending for this series, since there is the feeling of "oh, so that's how it was all along...". It leaves things open, yet you are able to draw a logical conclusion in your head

...I want a boyfriend :(

ichigo 100% follows a storyline very similar to kimagure orange road. the male protaganist cannot decide between 3 girls that all like him (for some reason or another), and the plot ensues as he interacts with each one of them. however, the main difference is that in fact he DOES like all three of them. they each have their own unique and wonderful personality traits and despite the presence of the 'fated female character', you are kept guessing as to who he likes the most.

I found that the best part of this anime was absorbed I was into this love story was. I truely was rooting certain characters on all throughout and I thought that they really had some interesting female characters. Although Ichigo 100% didn't really follow a straight adjacent time line where events relied on the ones before, Junpei, Nishino, Satsuki, Toujou's personaities all remained fairly consistant and it was fun seeing them interact with each other.

The main fall back of this anime was how much they relied on fanservice scenes to convey humor. In my mind, this factor (as well as the fact that it is so short) is what sets it apart from other classic anime love stories. Furthermore, a lot of the time it felt that the female characters were just part of this hentai game where you made choices and you get a response. No matter what you(Junpei) did, the girls would remain in love with you. I found Junpei to have very little interesting character. Although he is very introspective and the creators made him admit that he indeed liked each girl for a certain trait, he really is bland and has no charm.

This anime starts out very fun and entertaining as Junpei meets various girls of different types. However, as episodes pass, things do not really progress and this anime's ending totally ruins the mood. However, I would recommend this anime if you like girls as these three have a very sweet and enjoyable personality. I'm sure you'll be able to find one female character that you like the most and genuinely be able cheer them on throughout.
