Shockingly, Endless Waltz a good Gundam Wing OVA that brings final closure to the After Colony universe. While I am not an advocate of another AC series, Endless Waltz does make the viewer long for more Heero, Duo, Trowa, Duo, Quatre, Duo, and Wu Fei. It's too bad this, Correct Century, and Cosmic Era have all but been driven to the ground.

Waltz starts with yet another war beginning, only to be put to an end in only three episodes. The question "Can humanity truly attain peace?" is given yet another "no" as the cause of this war is none other than human greed for power. But that does not mean there can be periods of tranquility when all aggressive "evil" people have been wiped off the planet. Wing politics aside, Waltz does a fine job with the factions fighting here. Also, it leaves enough room to get more background story on all of the Gundam pilots, namely Trowa Barton. Of course, Sunrise never fails to support a certain character's key trait of being invincible, so that's a given. As this is a 1997 production, the quality improves while maintaining designs and atmosphere from the original series. The music is mostly the same (good), and there is only an ED with the same disco-ish beat.

Endless Waltz is a good supplement and finale for the AC universe. Though I am an advocate of a Duo Maxwell spinoff, here's a salute to yet another Gundam series.

Because of my disappointment with Gundam Wing, I hadn’t the highest expectations for Endless Waltz. The war had ended, and there shouldn’t be much more interesting that could happen. However, since peace is hard to maintain, already one year after there’s again risk of another war breaking out. Actually, this lead to a good plot which was more believable than the series was. It also provides a better conclusion for the series.

About the animation, I’m not too impressed. It’s not much improved from the series, only that the fighting looks more realistic. I had expected a little more from an OVA which is not very long. The music however was great, as with most Gundam shows. Then overall, I think this was more enjoyable than Gundam Wing. Still it lacks something to be really good. I’m probably not going to watch this one over. The story was better than in the series, but not anything special.

Aftermath the Gundam Wing TV Series, here come the Endless Waltz. I have been struggling to decide whether I will review Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz or not? Finally, I decide to review this manipulative pathetic anime. Actually, I have a very hard time to finish this anime series. Even I am among the die hard Gundam fans from 0079. I still find Gundam Wing is among the worst ever Gundam sereis.

Naturally, Gundam (from 0079 to Seed Destiny) is based on Cold War and Peace approach into the Space anime concept. The warring between two superpower, and the peace lover gang that want to end all war. However, Gundam Wing failed to impress me when it comes to Pathetic political appraoch. Then their Bull shit go on in this endless waltz. I will review further in Optional field.

I havent watched the series, neither the original nor the remake. Just saw the movie and found it very good. It maybe have some cliches found in that kind of mech animes but they dont spoil the movie at all.
It has just a slow start but once you follow the first minutes patiently it becomes enjoyable.

well i saw this movie i would say 1999 but at that time i was not really not interested in gundam wing or anyother gundam series, so basically i did not give a crap for this movie, i decided to check it out again, and by the way in 1999 i was 8 years old so i did not really understands shows or movies that well, so yah i decided to check it out again, i went into watching this show just remembering this one scene which was the scene when heero got into his wing zero for the first time, so i watched this movie i enjoyed it alot it may not be in my top 3 but i think it was well done even though i thought the animation was kind of out of date but im sure the animation when i watched it back then i had no problem with, the music in this movie is great the story is not really that well done its another one of those save the world story and the bad guy dies and they live happily ever after, but i like the characters in this anime the only thing i dont like is that the main character heero is too mature and too serious he has no sense of humour. So i think people should give this movie a chance and check it out, i thinks it is better that the series which i also watched in 1998.

After disappointg TV series for Gundam Wing I wasn't very eager to watch Endless Waltz, but I just thought it'd be a waste if I didn't watch an anime for free on the TV ^^;; In the end, it was a good decision because I liked it much better than the TV series. EW has got beautiful animation and music, and I think that even the storyline improved. It got me genuinely interested and finally I could sympathize with the characters. I started to like Heero/Relena (I guess this pairing pisses off many people ^_~) as well.
This isn't one of my favourite animes but it's not that bad, it gets really enjoyable.

A vast improvement over the original Gundam Wing series, this movie manages to be a very good mecha film whilst carrying the name of Gundam. It's what Gundam Wing should've been...enjoyable, deep and beautiful.
The animation is many levels above that of Gundam Wing. Very fluent battles, extraordinary eye candy, natural movemt. The battles shown in this are superb.
I have seen the English dub unfortunately so I don't know about the Japanese voices. That's what stopped me from giving out a 10 to sound. The music is very good and perfectly implemented into the general atmosphere. The English voices are bad to say the least, horrible to be sincere.
The story has meaning and, although it is anchored into politics more than it would pleasant, it manages to steer clear of the annoyance which the original series’ mentality represented. The facts are acted out superb. It's not much for a film nor could it be but it is certainly much better than the original GW story.
There is a bit of development for the characters. A bit of the past is revealed and it helps tie things together in GW. Other than that, the characters are the same machines from GW, nothing really changed there. They're better but not way better.
I saw this film a year ago and just reseen it a few hours ago. My impressions were like the first viewing: a mecha film with everything that the title implies. The attempts at deep war philosophy are annoying, yes, but that doesn't draw the attention from the film's good points. An action packed finale which is refreshing to see once in a while, between series with very deep meanings and such.
If it isn't already clear: I enjoyed this film very much and it washes some of the disappointment that Gundam Wing had left me.

Very Enjoyable. The quality of this anime movie can be compared to the standard of many Hollywood sci/fi movies.

With outstanding MS design and fluid animation, this is one of the best anime movies to date.

If I was to describe this movie in 2 simple words, it would be "eye candy". It has some really cool art and animation and the customized Gundams are just awesome. Then you throw a pretty deep story that's pretty good...so, why the not-so-high scores? Because like most Gundam stuff, this one dwells too much with the politics (not my "thing", neither is Gundam)...and I just couldn't stand the characters...so annoying sometimes...so if you're into the Gundam series, you'll probably enjoy this.

This is a great Gundam story that tackles the flow of history. I think it was said best by one of the characters "History is like an endlesswaltz the three four steps of war peace and revolution". This gundam series shows how our history never escapes this cycle even today we are still in this cycle we might not be affected directly but war is happening around us.

This has such a great story but I was quite disappointed since they tried to revive the old mecha battles where there is a powerful robot that can destroy a lot of weak robots. This for my oppinion goes aggainst the gundam series who's battles are won by tacktics and sheer force of numbers, but never the less this lives up to the Gundam series which tackles different things that happen in history and war.

Meh-This movie is like an extension of the ending that allows you to know what else happened to all the characters after the end of Gundam Wing. While the animation is good, the problems from the series are amplified. Overly talkative philosophy during battles, ice cube characters, and a somewhat redundant action series.

Endless Waltz is the official movie for Gundam Wing. This story takes place a year later, after whole ordeal with the battle in space with Space Fortress Libra. Earth and space was finally at peace. Most of the mobile suits and weapons were either discarded or destroyed. Even the five gundam pilots are following suit and sending their powerful mechs into the sun to be destroyed. Unfortunately, a foundation steps out of the shadows that will force the gundam pilots to commandeer thier mechs again...

The animation had been improved. Excellent quality for its time.

The story or plot is rather standard and nothing outstanding. There are still bits and pieces of philosophies lying around, so it keeps the old traditional Gundam Wing philosophy lecturing session alive. However, it's still quite unbelievable for a little girl like Trieze's daughter to be the head of an army.

I am glad they managed to uncover a bit of each gundam pilots' past through flashbacks. Nicely done. It also wraps up all the loose and open ended questions in the series: The original purpose of Operation Meteor.

Very good soundtracks. White Reflection was a nice ending song.

The ending was rather predictable, but they ended it completely with the destruction of all five gundams. Like the ending naration said, "...and the mobile suits, also the gundams, were never seen again."

The OVA Movie that's connected to Gundam Wing. There's not much change. Heck what am I saying. Well they all have new Gundams! The animation is very well done here. But the characters are still the same of course. The bad guys are just lame, it's basically the same thing. Seeing it on Cartoon Network was good. But when you see the DVD movie type one. It's even better. A lot more fighting sequneces. And it surprised me that cartoon network would cut out a lot of the fighting when the Gundam pilots weren't killing anymore. Like there was one part where Trowa opened up his Heavy Arms and and all these missles coming out at him. He shoots them all down really awesome. But on CN's verison you don't see that. Then it goes to a scene where all the Gundams ran out of ammo or basically have no weapons. you wonder how Trowa ran out of bullets so fast. But anyways. It's good to watch. The battle scenes are done nicely. And of course Heero basically kills lots of people at the end to save everybody. Which isn't that bad. There is two endings to this one. The cartoon network one shows the bad one. The good one is on DVD so see that.

In the follow-up to the bishounen-starred TV series, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz reveals the truth behind Operation Meteor and plunges everyone's favorite bland mecha pilots back into action. The first time I ever saw Endless Waltz was way back when Cartoon Network aired it in its OVA format (but showed them back-to-back to create the illusion of a movie, as they've done since with Read or Die). There's also a movie version, which many fans find preferable.

While Endless Waltz explains some hanging questions from the television series and provides a more definite conclusion to the Gundam Wing story, I can't help believing that it's just a tacked on extra with some pumped up animation and action. It certainly feels tacked on, and not very natural. The way they re-designed all the Gundams and placed them in flashbacks as if that was the way they always were was irritating. It was an obvious merchandising tactic which I found insulting. Though I'll admit, I do enjoy the re-designs themselves. Endless Waltz is ultimately dispensible, not feeling very epic or even nesscary to enjoy the original series. But that doesn't mean it's without merit. It is, as I mentioned, more action packed, and is overall more enjoyable than watching the bland telvision series.

The art is about the same as it is in the series, but here it's more detailed. The animation has certainly been given a booster shot, with more fluid animation in the battle sequences. The mobile suits are all wonderfully designed, leaving out the more ugly designs of the television series. My favorite Gundam re-design is Wing Zero Custom, with Deathscythe Hell Custom in close second.

As with the television series, there is a great soundtrack to Endless Waltz. The background music is fitting and the TWO-MIX songs are just as great here (if not better) as in the series. The sound effects seem fresher, too. All and all, there are no faults with the sounds in Endless Waltz.

While the happenings here occur fast and furiously, the story weilds the same steel club of philosophy that the TV series did. Sunrise just learned to swing faster, is all. Luckily it's easier to dodge here, with more action and story occuring than needless philosophying about how pacifism is great or pacifism sucks or history's an endless waltz, or any psuedo-intellectual dramatizing that goes on in the dialogue. They reveal out what's been occuring behind the scenes and the G-Boys go out to fix it. Except Wufei, who is inexplicably more insane that ever. Mariamia is an obvious Mineva Zabi clone, but far creepier. Dekin Barton is a fairly bland and pointless character. I like the fact that even the more fantastic-looking Gundams are now not as invincible as they used to be, though. The ending is a bit irritating and needlessly dismissive, but I was just glad that it ruled out any further tack-ons.

Overall, this is just an extension of the series. It's more exciting and more pleasing to the eyes and ears, but I would really only reccomend to the more dedicated fans of the series. Then again, maybe I wouldn't, because the series had a fine enough ending already.

The Gundam Wing movie Endless Waltz was, something of a dissapointment. I saw it a few years ago. True the animation was somwewhat improved, but the story just sucked. Wow Treize's immature daughter is the mastermind. COME ON. Anyway, other then this it was typical Gundam Wing which is to say it was nothing special. If you want to know more read my review.

Ok, from an artists POV, a gundam is one of the hardest things to draw, not to mention animate. Wing Zero is flat out stunning.. By far the best looking gundam to be drawn up to date, (its 2004 almost 2005) This one aspect of the OVA makes its already good, If ur into the art side like me, you gotta agree that a gundam is extremely hard to draw, not to mention color. But then you get into the other sides of the anime and you kinda realize that its the typical Gundam Wing you love. Sound is pretty mediocere, nothing exciting or great, kinda classy music but it suits its winter theme. Oh yeah same characters with a different attitude on war cept Fei. Its pretty good tho, always worth a watch.

This anime here is much better than Wing. Too bad this came after Wing, otherwise it would make more sense. Endless Waltz in my opinion was much better than Wing. The animation is like the same. But there was one thing that is pretty stupid in Endless Waltz and to find out, please read my Story section or you can read the whole review.

Gundam Wing, the end of Gundam Wing, thats what this is & it is far from stand alone. Watch Gundam Wing first is what you need to know~!.

Animation:This is the definition of upgraded animation, never have i seen animation upgrades in ovas or movies done so well. At this time of writing i cant ignore that the animation is out-of-date, but mechs will allways look good no-matter how long they are left. Its far better than the 49 episode series, the people still leave alot to be desired though.

Sound, new themetune which is welcome & a nice listen to. The Japanese Voices are still unfitting for the series, but the dub is lovely! Still lacks a bit on the sound effects. But it fits well.

Story, the end of GunDam Wing. It might be a bit pointless because the series Ended fine & this story does seem to feel like a tag-on. Oh well. Atleast its a good vessel for one last fight!

Character, The new characters are not worth much, but the scenery characters are done well. The upgraded mechs also look kick-ass.

Value, you sat through 49 episodes & are not going to watch this? You must be crazy!. I doubt you'll be watching it again very much, & its loses its collectable value because it has been aired on tv & is therefore labeled "crap" by the elite. But still its neccesary to have in your Gundam collection.

I enjoyied this quite alot. Its could have been better, but everything could be better

A mark improvement on the tv series which failed to develop good characters. However this OVA makes more sense and the character development is much better. Heero for once doesnt try to solve his problem by killing a target he sees as a threat. Definitely recommended for those who want to be left with a good taste of the tv series. Nice aftermath to a tasteless saga. This is too good to bear the Wing name lol!!

The OVA Gundam Wing series finally get to an acceptable level. Not only the animation is greatly improved in this OVA, the story actually got slightly better to actually containing an actual story!

This OVA has a generic story of having to fight some bad guys who happened to dress really like the Nazis for some reason. The characters still lacked dimensions though, but because of the slightly better story, they don't seem as bad as they were.

As long as you only focus on watching the battle and ignore the story, this Gundam Wing OVA is actually pretty decent.
