| Wow, in letzter Zeit komme ich in den Genuss von einem Conan-Movie nach dem Anderen (an dieser Stelle einen Toast auf die Fansubber) und wie immer habe ich mich auch auf “14th Target“ diebisch gefreut. Allerdings muss ich sagen dass dieser Film der bisher schwächste Conan-Movie ist, zumindest im Vergleich zu den Anderen die ich bisher gesehen habe. Dafür ist mir die Handlung ein klein wenig zu leicht zu durchschauen gewesen und obendrein eher unüblich monoton. Ich hatte den Täter schon entlarvt, da hatte der Film noch gar nicht richtig angefangen und was danach kam bot viel zu wenige Kniffeleien die ich an Meitantei Conan so liebe. Gut eine ganze Stunde vergeht bis der Film in Fahrt kommt aber danach wird es zum Glück wie gewohnt sehr spannend und auch der Showdown hat es mal wieder in sich. Fast hätte der Film es sogar noch geschafft mich an der wahren Identität des Täters zweifeln zu lassen obwohl ich mir lange Zeit zu 100 % sicher war. Aber das ist eben der Stil von Meitantai Conan, der Hauptgrund warum ich diese Serie so hoch schätze. Positiv ist auch dass man einen Blick in die aus der Serie bekannte Beziehungskiste von Kogoro und Eri bekommt und natürlich darf auch dieses Mal die typische Conan/Shinichi + Ran-Romanze nicht fehlen. Auch wenn ich sage das “14th Target“ nicht unbedingt der beste Movie des Conan-Universums ist, heißt das nicht das er nicht unterhaltsam ist. Ein paar kleine Makel hier und da aber trotzdem hat er mir Spaß gemacht und deshalb bekommt auch dieser Film eine Empfehlung für alle Conan-Fans und solche die es werden wollen.

| A very serial-killer like movie, but again in the light hearted fashion characteristic of Detective Conan episodes. This Detective Conan OVA is similar to the Skyscraper OVA where Conan races against time in order to find out who the murderer is and how exactly he or she is doing all the "tricky" murders.
If you are a fan of Detective Conan and appreciate the style of Conan's solving the mysteries, then this is a perfect thing to watch. It is very engaging, fast paced, and leaves you guessing until the very end. However, be warned, this is not a who-dun-it movie. There aren't enough clues provided for a valid deduction to take place OUTSIDE the anime. Everything sort of stays inside Conan's head. Sure they point out some key clues, but really, it's not possible to point the finger.
One problem with this movie is that I found that most of Conan's heroics are kind of tiring after watching them over and over again. Especially with his little gadgets that really are repetitive and dont show much character change. Very good for short entertainment but not for anybody who wants to think a lot about the killer's clues.
Recommended for audiences of all ages. Not the most engaging anime for those who aren't used to Detective Conan style of mystery portrayal.
