This is the continuation of the story that takes place in the first season of Love Hina. It focuses more on Keitaro and Narusegawa's relationship, and introduces a love rival for Naru. At times, it can be a bit frustrating, but by the final episode it'll have you cheering at the screen. A fitting end for a perfect series.

A must see for those who watched Love Hina.

Perhaps the worst ending to a series ever – Love Hina Again is painful viewing for anyone looking for something more than a fanservice OAV.

This finale to Love Hina tries to cover A LOT of the manga in 3 episodes so it's pretty packed. I'm assuming that those who are attempting to watch this have already finished Love Hina and the specials (yes the specials occur before this).

This picks up where the specials left off to build up to a climax and a fair ending (though not nearly as final as the ending in the manga). It is fairly well done and the climax (though somewhat odd and unique) was pretty good.

Overall, this is a satisactory ending to Love Hina. Watch this to finish off the series, it's worth it. On the other hand, if you do not like ecchi/fan-service-heavy series, stay away from this (if you hadn't figured this out yet from the original Love Hina).

A continuation of where it left off. Love Hina Again is much more easier to stomach thanks to the lack of lame jokes and repeated scenes, which i'm grateful for.

It picks up from where Love Hina left off, this time Kanako is introduced, Keitaro's so called sister. Although storyline is predictable, but still it ends in a satisfactory manner. If you've watched Love Hina, then this one simply picks up after it in terms of "the promise", but this time with a twist to it.

The animation seems to be improved, with the usual ecchi scenes and alot of crazy action.

Music is much better IMO, OP and ED where pleasantly nice.

Character's pretty much remain the same, but the focus is more on the Keitaro, Naru and Kanako love triangle, with Motoko and Shinobu thrown in for abit.

If Love Hina Again had put more emphasis on Naru and Keitaro's Tokyo U school life I think it would have been better to watch. Overall, this anime is average but still worth a watch to wrap up this series nicely.

Better than even the original series and the Specials, I think Love Hina Again is a fitting way to conclude the series. Everything is wrapped up, a fairly interesting plot, and a new character is introduced.

The animation is typical of a Love Hina series, with good character animation, facial changes/emotions are well done, but the background consists of boring 2D drawings.

The soundtrack was great; opening and ending songs for every episode of series was good, voice actors did a marvelous job, especially Kanako and Keitaro.

The story was interesting, but definately predictable and not very complex. A new character is introduced, Kanako, and it is interesting to see how her inclusion changes the dynamic in Hinata Apartments and especially the effect on Keitaro and Naru's relationships. The theme of "promises" is continued in this series (as we saw in the first series with promises to Moe, Naru, and Mutsumi) and the drama that stems from these promises comes to a head in this series.

It is obvious in this anime that Keitaro has matured, and is no longer completely clumsy or a loser, and is actually capable of going five seconds without tripping onto one of the girl's breasts and getting beaten up. I love the new Keitaro, and I like how he thinks about the future of his life and his own dreams. Naru's development as she strives to admit her feelings for Keitaro despite her stubbornness is also amusing and dramatic.

The best part about the series was the introduction of Kanako. She has become one of my favorite characters in the "Love Hina" saga, despite only coming into being in the anime series in these episodes.

In this series we also get a bit of development for Motoko and Shinobu. Each comes to terms with their futures and their feelings for Keitaro.

For Love Hina fans, this is a must-see. For people who thought Love Hina was a bit juvenile or repetitive, these Love Hina OVAs give depth to the series.

I enjoyed these OVAs more than even the original Love Hina TV series; the jokes were funnier (pehaps because they were scarce and not repeated over and over), the romance was engaging, and the drama exciting.

I read the Love Hina manga after I had already watched the entire series, including this OVA. If I had reviewed this before I read the original manga, I may have given it a higher score, but I can't really do that after reading what it is based off of. Unlike the TV series, which deviated from the manga but did so in an appealing way which made the series not worse, just different, the OVA severely damages the original storyline that it is based off of.

The storyline condenses volume 11 or 12 (there are still 2 volumes left un-animated, and it's a shame) to create this OVA. The plotline was probably one of the weakest in the entire manga, and adapted it to this OVA made it even weaker. For one thing, Keitaro is absent a lot, which is a shame because he basically defined the series and makes up a significant part of it. The rest of the cast is of course enjoyable but it was only under the structure involving Keitaro as the main character. The storyline here, which adds more characters to the bloated cast, ends up feeling weak and uninteresting.

There is also the problem of resolving the storyline. A final attempt at closure is attempted here (though it will never be enough as the final manga chapters) and I guess it does do the job fairly well, it's just that the manga does it so much better. The storyline is abused here with some weird almost science fiction story, ending with explosions and such. The way the manga handled the final scenes was a bit more poignant. (Isn't it funny how Love Hina, a story involving so much frank comedy can also be "poignant"?)

Anyways, the animation and sound is pretty good. The show appears closer to the manga now, which is a good thing, though I did grow attached to the TV portrayals. The colors are nice and clean and the soundtrack is well done too, though there isn't any of those symphonic gems from the original LH. Mostly piano.

Anyways, if you are a LH fan there's no point in taking this review in because you'll probably watch it anyways. The OVA isn't bad, in fact I enjoyed it when first watching it, it's just that the manga handles this story so much better. I reccomend you all read the manga because even though it gets a bit more immature and fan-servicey then the anime, the serious storyline are also handled better then this OVA.

The Love Hina OVA is supplement, nothing more. Is a supplement necessarily bad? Of course not. The Lova Hina OVA has a rather weak plot, but who says that an anime needs a strong plot to function? Just take a look at Gunslinger Girl - an anime with no plot and all character.

Carrying over from the main Love Hina anime, the OVA inherits all the characters and their temperaments. The animation style has been revamped, and I absolutely love it - Naru looks a lot better now. The opening theme also caught my attention, go I'm giving it props for that as well.

Now the main thing that the OVA focuses on is the introduction of a new character, Kanako, and her interactions with the other characters. The humor is still there, and the quirks are still quirky, but the longevity is missing. I have to admit that knowing that the OVA was only three episodes long after the manga was disheartening.

I still have my three-episode-loyalty though. Love Hina OVA and Read or Die are both able to tell stories, though in very different ways. It just seems that the Love Hina OVA, however, never crossed the finish line. You'll see what I mean after you watch the third episode. Start reading the manga now.

You can't dispute facts, though. I personally enjoyed the OVA very much, and felt that it added something fulfilling to the original anime. Compared to the Love Hina manga, the OVA is too short to be praised, but I'm praising it as - remember? - a supplement to the origional anime because I liked it.

Enjoyment is much too underrated these days. Too bad we can't have as much fun as those anime characters have, huh?

But we can keep dreaming.

Although I enjoyed Kanako being added to the plot and I love Kanako so much this I now role-play her that this anime was somewhat of an attempt to continue and put a true end to Love Hina for the fans.

Because of that there was more fanservice than true anime and although the plot remained all good and well the anime seemed to more of a resort to end the anime.

And finally, the last part of Love Hina and what a way to finish off the generally drab series.. ending it with a comforting climax but its oh so dissapointing that this 3 episode OVA is too long.

After the many OVAs and TV episodes of Naru trying to confess her love to Keitaro (even though she must have confessed at least 3 times in the series.. why must this OVA be done?), this OVA finally wraps thigns up with the drab relationship between Keitaro and Naru which throughout the series either went really good, or went really terrible (relation-story-wise)

The inclusion of the new character in this OVA is nothing more than 'another' obstacle between the two lovers, and predictably, they break through that barrier and all is well. The best thing about this OVA is that they finally did it! Each confessed to one another, both are in Tokyo Uni and both are living happily with one another.. we all know this from the previous OVAs and episodes.. so why this OVA. Its overlong, (even for a 3 episode series) and provided nothing more than more proof (as it actually needed any) that Naru and Keitaro's love is strong.

Throughout the anime, this series had many downs as well as ups, at its peak, the Christmas Special, at its pit, the Sprping special, and in between, This OVA and the TV series. The pure definition of a standard harem show indeed.

Overall: 6/10
Grade: C

Love Hina Again is set after the end of the TV show and the 2 OVAs that followed (Spring and Christmas Specials) and it is what it's title implies and more. It is Love Hina...again. There seems to be an ongoing battle raging between two factions, one that likes LHA and the other that hate it. I fit firmly in the first (Loved LHA) catagory.
This 3 part mini-series (if you want to call it that) is great, not only does it improve on series as a whole but it improves in other areas aswell. Admitedly, Love Hinas animation could have been a whole lot better but it was cheerful and enjoyable anyway. Love Hina Again takes it to a new step, fresh, crisp animation with a cute cartoony feel that the original had less of. If your expection the same Love Hina comedy, it's there all right. Although LHA is toned down, much like the Christmas Special: Silent Eve, focussing less on repetitive Keitaro bashing (who by the way, sports a new pair of glasses and has matured considerably) and more on character developement. This is more of a drama than a comedy, but can be enjoyed by both kinds of fans.
Naru has taken over keitaros shoes and is confused over her feelings for him and this series is more about her than Keitaro, which is actually quite refreshing. The music has changed as well with a catchy opening tune and darker ending melody. In-show music is top quality and the entire original (Japanese) cast has returned, much to my happiness. This is a must for any Love Hina Fan and features a more definate ending than the TV show and the two specials combined could ever do.
This rocks,
S-E-E-I-T-N-O-W ^^

I love Love Hina TV series and when I heard new OVA was coming coming out several years ago I remember being thrills with joy. the product I watched however was something entirely lacking in plot, character, and substance.

The whole ordeals with Kanako is a good premise and could've been a good one if and only if Kanako's thoughts and pasts are clearly explained and Naru is taken seriously. What we get here is however empty shelled brother loving Hentai and the same old flip-flopping jerk. The series obviously thought it was not important to explore all the character in comparison to all the unnecessary ecchi.

Now this anime is bad but i would've liked it better if it solved the whole promised girl issue, but it doesn't. This OVA does not provide the conclusion to the whole series. AH! why was I waiting for this?!

Animation is different from that of the TV series and its more closer to the manga. I liked this shift in style. I thought its style fit the series better.

Music is in line with the music of the TV series and just like TV series, the music is nothing special.

What a disappointing finish to one of my favorite series. I absolutely do not like this. But if you are die hard fan of Love Hina I dont see any reason why you Zettai shouldn't see this. Just don't expect much.

When i finished watching the main series i was eager to statr watching this OVA, but it was kind of dissapointing, not because it was bad, or something was about the plot, and it was not up to the crappy drawings or lame characters, and even not about the silly story, made just "because", everything was on top, the characters were perfectly planned, music wass on top just as the animation. I was sad and dissapointed because it was an obvious The End, Finito La Comedia for Love Hina, and i was about to cry, because the joy of watching it will bot be frogotten. Never ever.

Usually I am not writing the review immideately after watching the anime. And this was not an exception. Because i refer to think over the series, it is aways better to analyze it some timу after, than immedeately, because when you've just finished watching - it hard to evade the influence of "Wow" and a slight shock.

Very interesting thought came to my mind and i just want to share it with you. The first question, that came up to my mind, when i started reviewing this anime was: Why did they draw this OVA as an ending series, they could have just go with the story fo on and on, changing the inviroment, inventing new situations, bringing the new characters to the plot and a lot more. Maybe the animators were just fed up with it ot maybe they realized that if they make it longer it will become less interesting and transform it into another long-term anime.

I was very! disappointed with this sequel. Love Hina was silly and fun, but the story was still endearing (esp. the Christmas special). But these 3 'Again' OVAs were too silly. You did not care about any of the characters b/c they did and said such ridiculous things. I suffered through it b/c it was only 3 shows, but I almost wished I hadn't wasted my time. If you just want something to watch that has the same characters as Love Hina then watch this, but don't expect the same story quality as the original

Love Hina Again ends up the Saga, and it surely was better and more useful than the 2 specials that came in the middle. At least they bring to a concrete and not *hung in the air* conclusion.

Arts are definitely improved from tv series, the characters are very cute to watch, and better drawn. Animations lost much of that roughness found in the initial stages.

Sound: finally in this saga I've watched something in subbed japanese. And there's no comparison, the original voices are wonderful.
The OP and the Ed were quite catchy, but still far away from unforgettableness.

Story: the settings has returned to the Hinata, and it seems to view just 3 new episodes of tv series, just with a new character.
Speaking of this, I found very unoriginal that the new incoming girl had mandatorily to be Keitaro's little sister.
Anyway, it was a trick to wake up Narusegawa from her numbness, so let's accept it as it came.
There also too much twists and flashbacks imho, and sometimes the plot, who should be simple like a 2+2 , becomes too much confusing, and it's not good.
Also, there was a noticeable increasing of fanservice, you see more here than in previous episodes (but still, nothing explicit).

Character: the 3 episodes are called "Kanako", "Keitaro", "Naru". Each of them is concentrate on the character of the title.
Basically I'm saying that, despise the tv series, in these 3 OVAS the characters are just 3, and the other ones we knew still are here, but this time at the end they are merely walkers-on.
Kanako is your typical imouto subjugated by her oneechan even if she hasn't seen him for ages.

I gave a 9 to the value for the nice arts, animations and music and for the fact of having ended up the series properly without let the attendance just guessing, as it often happens.

And 9 to enjoyment, I said above, this 3 eps. are near to tv series and so very entertaining, the fanservice brings fun too, but for a story simple like that, there are too many repetitions and elements bringing confusion.

So concluded the vision of Love Hina Saga, I will say that my personal rank would be this:

1. Tv Series
2. OVAs
3. Spring Special
4. Christmal Special

The conclusion of the long running Love Hina series, and definitely worth watching if you enjoy the show and the OVAs; What definitely helps this particular ending chapter are the plot twist that affect not just this but entire series, and accomplishes what was needed to be accomplished.

Overall, this is the true conclusion to the long-running LH series, an excellent OVA, and a must for the fans if they have been slacking in watching the OVAs.

Basically the night is almost over, and I'm still writing as stupid. :-)
Appreciate it, this is the last part on my Love Hina Crusade, cause I am NOT going to write MANGA review :P. Oh! I KNOW You were counting on that - too bad it won't happen so accept the Fate. ;-)

Well - here we go, they are at Toudai, promise is fullfilled, life full of lvoe is to be started... BUT. Keitaro gets all crazy with happiness, and his behavior embarasse Naru so... she ... punches him (NO, PLEASE, DON'T DO IT, I STARTED TO LIKE THE SERIES AND APPRECIATE IT AFTER BOTH SPECIALS!) ... and he... goes FLYING... (mercy!) in the air (noooooooo.... /closing eyes/ but there is no shining sfx? isn't there? /open eyes - blinking in disbelief and surprise!!/

and he is standing on top of Toudai looking COOL!!!!

YEAH! And then he of course falls, and copule of Toudai falls on him. Yep. That's Keitaro, no doubt. And yep. We're back with original humour. No doubt as well. In watching LH Again I found out, that I got fed up with that humour, so that's why enjoyment fell down, compared to specials.

Well - I will edit it shortly, so to give You all details about the review, for now it's only value, animation and sound, those were easy, were they not? :(

Edited a little - but there will be a rewrite on this, I will go there in more detail. But not now. :-) Love China Crusade is officially ended - all that's left is to clean the mss up. ;-)

At last it shows Naru fighting for her love(yes!), unlike in the TV series she keeps pretending not to care. I agree with Nemesis that they could have use Mutsumi to be the competiton for Naru again instead of introducing the new character, Kanako. She just appears out of nowhere and claims to be Keitaro stepsister. Im also quite confused about the "promised girl" thing. First they thought that it's Mutsumi and now it turns out to be Kanako. Keitaro appears to be less clumsy as in the TV series but i preferred the old him. Overall this OVA is good as it shows the ending that most people wanted i guess.

I have been exposed to the manga by the time this OVA was released. On its own, this title is not going to make much sense without having seen the TV series or read graphic novel volumes 1 through 8 at least. With exposure to the said TV series or graphic novel volumes, this title would bring a somewhat satisfying closure. But if you've read graphic novel volumes 11 and 12, it may be in your best interest to skip this title unless you know for certain you can stomach a watered down condensation of volumes 11 and 12 or are just a hardcore Love Hina fan.
