| The first thing I asked myself when I finished this movie was 'what the hell just happened'? which is also what I say after I've seen most other anime movies. This movie was just one big blur with character transitions and events happening so fast that it really doesn't hit you. A prime example of that is the Vanguard pilot who defects to the Feds only to get killed less than 5 minutes later. It just came out of nowhere. It's been said that MS Gundam F-91 was supposed to be given the full blown TV series treatment and believe me, it really shows and it could've been alot better if they stuck to the TV series idea. Even so, this title seemed far too much like the original Gundam. Other than the better technology, the basic premise is the same. But then again, the basic premise is the same in many other Gundam titles, but I won't get into that.
The characters are alright, but really aren't fleshed out enough which is usually a problem plaguing anime movies. Seabook Arno is yet another reluctant pilot who like his Tomino predecessors Amuro, Camille and Judau was in the wrong place at the wrong time and is forced to pilot the Gundam F-91. He's too much like Amuro and Camille in his reluctance to fight for me to like him and like with the other main characters, his character isn't fleshed out enough for anyone to like him really. While he's not bad, he could've been better if F-91 was done as a TV series, and because of that he's second only to Shinn Asuka in my book for least likeable protagonist in a Gundam series because he comes across as a really boring and uninteresting character. Atleast Amuro was a prick and Camille had a father/mother complex (among other things...). Seabook was just flat boring.
About the only really positive thing I have to say about this title is the music which was well done and really gave it that epic feel, despite some of the music sounding eerily alot like some of the well known Star Wars music. Other than that this was probably the most unenjoyable Gundam title that I've seen to date (yet to see Victory, G or Turn A). I saw it from begining to end once in 2004 knowing full well that many people did not like it at all but as a Gundam fan, I figured I just had to see it for myself. I won't be seeing it again from start to finish anytime soon.

| I’m not too impressed by this movie. In the first few minutes it looks like an all right Gundam show. But, I rapidly realized that the plot was moving way too fast forward. I had a real hard time knowing what was going on all of the time. Therefore, I felt bored during most of this movie. The characters seemed okay, but we don’t really get the time to know them very well. This is a huge problem since they are new in this show.
Also the animation is good. However, it has a long way to go before it reaches the quality in “Char’s Counterattack”, which was released three years earlier. There are very few soundtracks, only some few songs with lyrics, and these are okay.
Personally, I felt really bored during most of this movie. It’s definitely nothing more than a time-killer. Most of the Gundam shows I've seen are a lot better than this! If you’re a Gundam fan, you should only watch this movie to get the whole story.

| Gundam F-91 was VERY dissapointing. It was literally like they tried to condense a whole series into a two hour movie. Needless to say they were unsuccessful. Oh well, if you take this movie for what its worth it is o.k. The charcters were underdeveloped for obvious reasons, but the F-91 was a cool mech. If you want to know more read my review.

| Never try to compress 52 episodes into a two hour movie! Then you'l get gundam f91.
The plot has many unexplained sections and underdeveloped characters (Karozo, cudda been the best masked man ever). The F91 was an awesome Gundam design that seems to have inspired the Gundam Double X and the Freedom Gundam. This movie needs to be remade as a tv show. If it was they could fix its problems.

| Gundam F91 follows 30 years after Char's Counterattack (F91 is UC 0123, CCA is UC 0093), when MS are finally downsized and more and more people are leaving the now polluted Earth.
Once you have started watching this movie, you would notice that things move too fast in this movie. Characters are quickly introduce and thrown into action and before you know it, they died already. You can't really blame the writers because this is supposedly aa 12 episodes OVA and Bandai wants it to be shorten in a movie because of budget reasons.
As always, animation and actions are top notch, coupled with great MS designs. I could only imagine what F91 could become if it is an actual series.

| This Gundam movie is average. The thing is that everything happens so fast. The background of the Crossbone Vanguard are not quite clear. Some perople who wishes to switch side dies in minutes after they switched. (ex. Annamarie). Sometimes the motives of characters are not clear. The ending is quite like what happened in Gundam SEED. (Gundam SEED follows F-91 first, in fact.) There's just not enough time for this series to become a good one. I think this Gundam series should become a TV series instead, so that a more solid character development can be achieved.

| hmm....so far, this has been one of the most disapointing Gundam animes I've ever seen. This can be contributed to the fact that they tried to condense a whole tv series into one movie...and you can definetely tell. The story skips around and moves from one scene to another like from one episode to the next and without any transition. I had trouble most of the time trying to understand the story because of this.
Good thing for this movie is the very well done animation and also the nice design of the Gundam F-91.
Recommended for Gundam fans only.

| Not as good as most other Gundam-series/movies but still worth a watch.

| By far this is the worst gundam series I have seen. I found the story extremely confusing, the characters hard to sympathize with and overall it was just very boring, I had to force myself to finish this one. Perhaps if this had been a longer ova or even tv series it would've been better but I think there were too many characters and the plot was too complicated to condense into a 90 minute movie. Because of it's length many characters were left completely under-developed and it made it hard to understand their feelings and motives.
The movie is not all bad, the animation is good and it is definitely full of action. However, I'd say this one is good only for true gundam fans, for others there are other gundam series that are much better.
