| Do be cautious of this review, I myself feel incompetent to fully review this without bias.
Firstly, there’s the manga which I have never touched or read, then there’s the other OVAs that I have not yet viewed.
Although just by judging on this Ova, I have to say, first impression are that the design is grand, typical shoujo though – and I’m not a great fan of shoujo.
The nearest thing this is comparable to is Pretear, a normal girl, becomes someone special and important, then surrounded by many handsome (somewhat transgender) looking men, who all have great powers and ability to fight: really did bore me. I have seen this formula applied too many time, the outcome to these are identical – good guys win.
I imagine that the manga is better, if you’re interested in this kind of things, especially when these anime OVAs require background knowledge to enjoy fully.
