| Ok lets get started on another review. Ranma 1/2: Nihao My Concubine is was actually the frst Ranma 1/2 movie The I saw even though it is the second movie out of the three of them that there are.
The movie has all the characters that you know and love which is great because they are all included in parts of the movie. The total length of this Ranma movie is only about an hour long which is great because thats all it needed. I mean who really wants to see a movie with about 20 minutes of not needed stuff. I don't think anyone does.
Ranma 1/2 Movie 2 also provides quite a bit of genres like comedy, a bit of romance, and a bit of ecchi parts. The fight scenes are really fun to watch and aren't over-the-top dramatic like you see in al ot of fighting in anime.
Animation -
The animation was above average considering looking at the standard for 1994. There was nice shading and a good variety of colors which I appreciate. There was alot of movement from the characters especially in the action scenes also in the background. Most early to around mid 90's anime series don't have that stuff. but for some reason I always liked the animation better in the 90's than the presnnt. The character designs are the same from the series which any Ranma fan will apperciate.
Sound -
There was no opening them whichI do not mind at all. The ending theme was nice and it suited well. the music in the background wasn't ground breaking oh my good but it delivered nicely. I always liked the Ranma english dub so I saw it it in english. The english voice cast are the same voices as in the series. They do a good job with showing feeling in their sayings. Overall above average for sound.
Story -
Average. The story wasn't bad at all, it was quite enjoyable. The whole crew from Ranma 1/2 foes to an island for vactation on none other than Kuno's boat. tghe boat breaks and they;'r stuck on island pretty much and all the girls are meing stolen to see who can be this boys bride. And I'm not going to tell you anymore because i gave you little detail so now take that and watch if yourr a ranma fan who hasn't seen it. the length was just about right to get throgh this with it stilll being enjoyable.
Characters -
Average. The charaters are all from the Ranma 1/2 T.V series and have the same persnality. they also do some pretty interesting fights with the enemies that arent really bad. The new characters for the moviere are quite strange but esaily fit in.
Value -
The rewatch value is pretty high due to the enjoyment it has throughout and the not so long length. The collectible value well I'm goingto get it," judt keep it at that". I recommend thisto any Ranma 1/2 fan, iif your not a Ranma fan yet i advise watch a some episodes before this so you can be able to know what the characters are all about.

| This is one of my most favorite anime movies of all. At first i didn't like it, but after watching it again a few times, it started to grow on me and now I love it.
At first I feel as if I'm not watching Ranma 1/2, I can't say exactly why, but I just do. It's like watching a fanfiction made into an anime movie. The beginning was quite like that of Maison Ikkoku ova, they are stranded on an uninhabited island after the yacht was destroyed, but that's where the similarities end.
In this movie, there was quite a mystery, this is something new to Ranma 1/2, the girls are disappearing one after the other and is replaced by fruit. (That's the only thing in this story that doesnt make sense). And so I thought that they were splashed with water from jusenkyo and they were transformed into a fruit. Anyway, I never expected that I was wrong. After that we'll be reunited with all the girls, we'll see a big hall filled with women, its just like being in a harem. The women are treated nicely and dressed up in beautiful gowns and living a luxurious life. And knowing Nabiki's personality, we can expect her to enjoy this kind of life. Later we'll see some competitions, one example is cooking. Of course, Akane doesn't stand a chance, we all know how horrible her ccoking is, right? female Ranma joined too but his efforts just ended in vain. Ah, poor Ranma, he just made himself tired.
The story is quite simple and not hard to understand unlike those movies from Urusei Yatsura movies. All that what's happened is explained well so there won't be questions left unanswered though there are a few things that are weird. I like the beginning because of a little mystery and the ending is good, just seeing Ranma and Akane being sweet really makes my day.
The animation is good compared to the tv series, and here we'll see all the girls in a swimsuit. They're so sexy, maybe to hook the male audiences.
A very enjoyable movie. Recommended to all especially to Ranma 1/2 fans. Try it!

| this was quite interesting :) despite my more negative reviews towards the other ranma stuff, i liked how all the female characters kind of just all gathered.. female ranma also has quite a large bust in this series, lol
this was quite hilarious and enjoyable. i liked this extra little bit and this ranma humor reaches its height and all the characters also play quite an important role
i'd recommend this movie if you liked Ranma even just a little bit, this is a good side story and is very fun! if you haven't seen any ranma, this might be a good introduction to the world of ranma.

| The first ranma movie was really good, just as good as the series. This movie is actualy quite a bit funnier then the first and has a LOT more fanservice. This seemed more like an omake then anything else to me, as the service and character traits are taken that much further here in the second movie, but it's a nice treat after watching the series\ova\movie1 in succession. Thumbs up for wrapping up ranma 1/2 with a smile on your face, not many shows can leave you feeling this good in the end.

| The worst of all Ranma series.
But since Ranma is just a good show, this movie is also good, but not what you'd expect from Ranma.
The Animation is basicly the same as the OAV's so there's not much to say about that. Also, since when did all the females get such boobs? Did they take sterroids or something?
The Sound is average, not great, not bad.
The Story is a HUGE dissapiontment. I mean, it's the same as the first only the villain is now some 14 Yrs old brat who wants Akane to be his bride.
Altough there are many funny parts in the movie, I found the enjoyment to be less then all Ranma series.

| This second Ranma movie was VERY dissapointing. Not as funny as the first or the t.v. series, or the OAV. Basically this movie is the worst part of all Ranma. However there are some funny parts, especially the parts with Kuno, and Shampoo. If you want to know more read on.

| Nothing special in this final Ranma movie only if you are a pervert. Though Shampoo does look very good (I hate Ukyo no matter how she looks). The animation is more like the later Ranma season and the story is of course not that good and is similar to the first movie. If you would like to read more, by all means, please read on.

| One of the best of what Ranma 1/2 has to offer. We have the motely crew in another wild adventure in this movie. By this time viewers should know the characters from the TV series as the movie doesnt bother explaining every characters background. I suggest watching this after a couple seasons from the TV series.
Finally I'll have to say that the movie gives a certain sense of closure to Mousse and Shampoo's relationship and an even mor on Akane and Ranma's. However the aftermath should've been more as another 10 to 15 minutes of the epilogue would've been nice. The comedy was one of the best I've seen in Ranma and for a change there was some slightly serious drama, a little different from the usual Ranma attire.
Overall a great watch if you liked the Ranma 1/2 TV series, however I wouldnt recommend it to those who havent seen it otherwise it might be confusing.

But animation is better, fan service in the opening scene is great. But in true Ranma fashion, nobody dies, and foes are friends by end of the day.
Not emotional enough, feels like just another episode.
But a pretty good one.

| Its like an extended episode or
Ranma 1/2 in an exotic location and with a couple extra characters.
You get everything that you would in a normal episode of the series: action, comedy, and Ranma and Akane trying not to look like they are interested in each other.

| Hmmm... It's really different from Big Trouble in Nekonron. Nihao My Concubine contains a lot more sexual scenes, and the main theme is sex. But still it is an allright movie.
Some good scenes between Ranma and Akane.

| Don't get me wrong, I like Ranma, it's certainly one of my favorites. But this... it's gotta be the worst Ranma product out there.
That having been said, the only real thing wrong with it is the story. The art is great, music is decent, but god, I cannot find any justification in making this. They could have made the last adventure in the manga into a great movie that finally finished things off, but they came out with this.
Essentially they wash up on an island and the girls are kidnapped by a little prince who needs a bride. Ranma has to out-girl a bunch of girls to win the prince's heart, in order win the contest. God.
Big Trouble in Nekonron China is the better Ranma movie.
Disappointing and stupid.

| Well if you didn't get enough fan service of your favorite girl in Ranma 1/2, then this is the movie for you. All this movie is purely about is fanservice and it doesn't try to be anything else, besides trying to put a weak plot into it. The story is weak, the animation is okay, more detailed in the fanservice area, but if we get to see Ukyou in actual girl cloths and looking hot I'm jumping on the boat for around an hour.

| My oh my, did something ever go wrong here. First off, I have to say that the cleavage and bounciness was just a tad too much. Good grief. I had gotten used to seeing Akane and the others in a certain way, and well, I wasn't prepared for their sudden plastic surgery all of a sudden in this movie. This thing plays out like one of the worst of Ranma 1/2 filler episodes. The whole girl getting kidnapped thing has been done better in the series. Argh, and what the hell was up with that lame ending song? This movie is not funny, and adds nothing new to the series. I can't recommend this mediocre a movie to anyone, regardless of whether or not they are a fan of Ranma.

| Don't fix it if its not broken. Well, and obviously fix it if it is. Ranma Movie 2 is much like Movie 1, which is a BAD thing. Music is a little better than Movie 1, but still no match for the TV series. Story is complete junk (Kidnap, rescue, nothing new), being recycled from Movie 1, new characters are as lifeless and boring as bricks (ALWAYS a reconciliation at the end), and basically this follows the footsteps of Movie 1, destined to make its way into the mainstream market as a horrible presentation of anime to the masses. Not good.

| The second Ranma 1/2 movie which actually uses the same plot as the first: girl gets kidnapped (to be the kidnapper's wife), and Ranma has to save her. It really made me wonder why they actually did this plot again. Even though I was disappointed by the premise, the action was carried out well, and the character designs were...ahem...quite impressive, if overdeveloped :)
Anyways, still a recommended movie only if you're a Ranma fan (i see no reason why you should hate the series), a fun movie nonetheless, with many of your farvorite characters from the series.
