The wacky cast of Ranma are back to give us another round of hilarious laugh out loud moments. This ova contains one of the best stories in the manga which was never produced for tv veiwing. I definitely enjoyed watching every minute of it's 12 episodes. This set of ova episodes are the best ones I've ever watched.

| This is a gem. I can honestly say that this was very well made and planned out, even compared to a lot of today‘s OVA. Everything was remade perfectly, compared with the TV series from it’s animation to it’s high quality of music. Most of all, the beginning of the title music can give that nostalgic feeling, with it‘s appealing performed lyrics and fascinating animation style that created an excellent flair to it. The characters and the storyline hasn’t changed from the regular series, and added a great amount of humorously good episodes. Rumiko Takahashi still amazes me. A nice watch for a general audience. A great replay value if you come around it again after many years from now.

| The Ranma OVA shines every bit as much as the tv series. A little more story driven I thought then most of the tv run with just as much comedy and hijinx to boot. The animation was taken up a few notches for this and the character designs come out looking very, very good here. Watching this is a no-brainer for any fan of ranma 1/2.

| The animation in this series of ranma is sooo much better than the tv series that it actually looks really good. The sound in this series is a lot clearer and i love the intro song for the later eppisodes. The story in this series can't really get old as it only has 12 eppisodes. The characters don't really see to develop all that much but a lot more than the tv series. This has the same good replay value as the tv series. And i enjoyed every eppisode especially eppisode 1. The best thing about this series is 'it's ranma' :)

| I loved this OAV! It continues from where the series ended but only some popular stories from the manga, of course, I looked out for the shinosuke episode as that was probably my favourite story in the manga :p
The animation surpasses the tv version, the background music seemed nicer, not as cute as the tv version but nice as well....characters...well, everybody's back! what do you think! some random characters added in, like the beautiful teacher(who only appeared for an episode which was a shame), shinosuke....though I was sad that there wasn't the herb episode inside.
Anyway, this OAV series is definitely a must watch for ranma fans, you'll love it if you love the tv series.

| ranma is definetly a classic one.
It set the standards for mora anime to come but it has a few weaknesses.
first of all even though funny ranma tends to become repeating especially from the third season. to tell u the truth i found it quite boring from a point on.
the characters are quite nice but again the great number of episodes also make them a bit tiring even though the develop through time (it's just that this development is very very slow)
generally ranma is a funny anime with a bit of romance in it, i cant say anything about the animation since it is very old and i am not sure how well drawed the other anime of it's era was, but comparing to db and sailormoon i have to say that the animation was not of this series strongest points.
if u like long series and want to laugh check ranma out

| The final stash of episodes that come after Ranma's 7th season. Still, honestly this is just more of the same, enhanced a portion by the fact that it's an OVA (somewhat better animation).
More of the same episodicness...if you enjoyed all of the Ranma seasons 1-7 I guess I'd suggest you watch this. But since I was counting the episodes until I could say this was finally done, this OVA was probably not as enjoyable as it could have been. Only for die-hard Ranma and fanservice fans, in my opinion.

| What can I say about the OVA of Ranma 1/2 because it is very impressive and there is alot to say. The animation still looks like the later Ranma series. But the characters are as enjoyable as ever. Music is very good and the same voice actors from the series. The episodes were more from the manga so I gave the story a better score. If you would like to continue to read my review about this classic anime, then read on please.

| After the horrible last seasons and two sucky movies this OVA shows that there's still a lot going on for Ranma! Most episodes are a pleasure to watch and aren't as shy at giving actual romantic moments between Akane and Ranma.
The sound is nothing different from the show but the visuals are noticeably better.
Overall this OVA has some of the best Ranma stuff there is. Too bad this is the last bit of Ranma we'll ever see :(

| Anyone into anime knows Ranma.
This series and a few other ones brought me into anime about 15 years ago so I have nothing but praises for it.
There are some pretty funny hijinks in this show, not to mention the gender changing freak never gets tiring, although, exposing Ranma's naked body gets a little old. Storywise, it is fairly good. I just don't know how Takahashi keeps up with this stuff.
The animation is not really all that great as I don't like the style that much. I liked the old school style from the TV series better.

| This is a MUST for who of thouse who like Ranma. The animation was improve and most important of all Ranma and Akane was not annoying anymore! They seem to accept their fate and their feeling for each other. Everything was great. Every characters seem to be friend, no more childish annoying stuff. You can say that this one is pure love. Also, only this OVA can make me cry at some point in the ep.(other ep. in TV series seem to fail) Sound also impove, even the opening and ending video seem to better. Overall, if you already seen ranma, you really NEED! to see this. And for thouse of who didn't watch ranma yet, go watch it now!! ^_^
P.S. Recommence to watch this ova at the end of tv series(after 2 movies too).

| Another bunch of tales involving our beloved motely bunch and their wild adventures. This series unfortunately didnt give the closure I wanted after watching the TV Series and movies. Instead it introduced a whole new bunch of characters in a show that already had an stupendously huge cast. Still this was a very enjoyable watch because the comedy is some of the best Ranma 1/2 I've seen. Some episodes are truly laughoutloud funny and I didnt mind it if they werent finishing it. We do get to see some more on Akane and Ranma's relationship and sort of get hints on what will happen to the rest of the cast in future, including Ryoga, Ukyo and Shampoo. So if you like Ranma or are just a casual viewer of Ranma. Do not miss this. The laughs are great and theres plenty more crazy martial arts.

| Ranma at its best.
The animation is much bettter that the TV series and the movies, and while the OVA series doesn't actually resolve any of the hanging plot lines from the TV show (and there were a LOT of things left hanging!) it does foreshadow how some of the character relationships and situations could resolve.
The Christmas episode especially stands out, and has become a holiday classic in the Roque houshold. (Who needs that stinkin' reindeer, anyway?)

| Ranma 1/2:OVA was detailed so nicely and the songs were beautiful, from the OP to when the girls including Ranma sing at the christmas party, it was spectacular. Although it has a real big difference when it is compared to the TV series which spans about 153 or 143 or more episodes, it still has the lovable characters and they don't change at all, which is the great thing about it, Rumiko Takahashi knows how to bring back happiness and convert it into something frantiaclly hilarious! With the comedy still ringing with the romance hardly sparking.. This is reccomended to any Otaku.

| More of the same from the TV show. Almost every episode in this collection comes straight from the manga, with some alterations. So in general, you're getting higher quality episodes than in the TV series which is full of filler material. Higher production values lead to sharper animation. They also don't go overboard in surgically enhancing the female cast either. Personally, it has my favorite tale from the manga, involving Shinosuke. One of the few tales in the entire series that actually advances Akane and Ranma's relationship. If you like Ranma, you're going to enjoy this batch of episodes.

| Das OVA zu Ranma ist eine tolle Ergänzung zur Serie und hier und da hübsch epackt mit netten Ideen und dem wie immer köstlichen Ranmahumor. Die Animationen sind diesesmal auch um einiges besser. Anschauen ist hier für jeden Fan der Serie Pflicht!

| The perfect follow-up to the TV series, the Ranma OVAs are absolutely hilarious while retaining what was so great about the TV series. Animation is markedly improved, sound is exceptional (Catchy music, especially the OP), and characters retain their uniqueness. The meat of OVAs consist of many sub-stories that are very well-planned, although a main story focus is lacking (Not really a new thing). If you like the TV series, or think that the movies were good, watch the OVAs for more Ranma madness.
