| good adnime has a feeling of gundam seed and destiny only shorter and better plot i thought.
i refer to gundam alot becuase this really really dose feel like a idea spawned from that series man likes girl, girl likes man best freind of girl loves man, man dosent love her but lets be freinds... style love romance...
one other thing is if you dont know much about boats youll get really lost like aft, stern, bow, port side. etc they use alot of the real life names.

As I am the first reviewer, i will try to be more accurate
Animation : Good level detail. Fluid animation. nice landscape. the technical details are very well thought out. a good display of a near future technology. Character design is however a bit disappointing. Faces appear a bit childish and sometimes, different faces look alike too much making difficult to single out any one of them
Sound : unimpressive. does not add to this anime but does not get in the way.
Story : An interesting background of naval warfare. The crew of a special naval ship is the main subject. Regretfully the credibility of the story is affected by many factors :
A) the crew is nealy all young women,(Harem) or pre-teen girls
B) a lot of fanservice
C) a potential incestuous situation between two key characters
D) some shoujo-ai
Those 4 factors come much too quickly instead of cutely being built-up à la "Kashimashi" (a cute shoujo Ai anime)
They aren't very convincing but get in the way of what is supposed to be the main plot : the mission(s) of the main ship.
update : it seems incestuous activities calmed down and things returned to healthier issues.
Character : a bit of character development for the main characters, whereas the others are some caricatures. that some children may hold positions on a combat ship or as top executive in a company is ridiculous at best. the potential romantic situations do not result of a patient build-up but rather because of unnatural and embarassing situations the characters indulge themselves into.
in short, I could not get to appreciate any character so far.
Value : mediocre. I think I would not watch it a second time. Will keep it for reference only
Enjoyment. Too bad this anime was spoiled by some questionably done harem / fanservice / ecchi / lesbian / incestuous scent. I happen to keep watching it so there must be something that attracts me anyway. I am a ship enthusiast, so this pleasant backgound must count as a personal plus.
This anime is aimed for the male audience. If you have some interests for ships or warfare, you may give it a try. If you like Harems and strange behaviours, try to download ep 04 to get a clearer image of what you can find.
Update : ends pretty flat. I did not heve too high expectations.
If you enjoy animes in a maritime setup, you may give a try. Or if you are bored sometime
