| If you're looking for an ending for Ichigo 100%, you're looking in the wrong place. The manga is the only place where you're going to find an end to Manaka's indecisiveness. The OVAs are, in essence, standalone fan service with innumerable ecchi situations and Manaka finding himself with a single girl alone many times followed by being discovered by everyone else and thereafter being used as a punching bag.
I also agree with the previous reviews in that I have only been able to find 4 OVA episodes (Wikipedia agrees too).

| The OVA eps really does not make any sort of progress on the story which you have already know. Its the same basic story with the same basic plot and this OVA is different for every ep that there is no story its just tons of fillers/ecchi stuff in it.

| A simple no no, Ichigo 100% OVA is what you could call, really confusing. nor does he choose a girl in the OVA the "Story" is more like episodic making it not really a story anyway.., while we're all waiting and hoping for him to choose a girl, the ova still hops on from girl to girl and that's about it. I won't recommend anyone to watch this if he/she were to link it to the 'main' story.

| This review is coming from the very same person who gave Ichigo 100% anime a perfect 10 in all aspects. Though it pains me to give this kind of review, however, this is what I felt after watching the OAVs. But I will not revoke my previous rating regarding the anime because that is also what I felt after watching it.
I was really disappointed with the OAVs, I thought there is nothing much worse than the Ichigo 100% manga ending, but I was wrong, dead wrong. I watched the 2004 Jump Fiesta (OAV1) after the series, I'm lucky that I didn't have my copies of the rest of the OAVs because I might've missed the chance of reading one of the best manga in my opinion (with exception with the ending). OAV 1-3 are within tolerable levels but 4-5 are already Rated R for retarded. What a waste of production! I can't believe they did this especially to an OAV! I was expecting a good continuation for the anime but all they do is mess up again. There is no saving this anime because of what they did and to capture the very essence of the manga they have to either cancel the OAVs (at least) or remake the anime. A 19 volume manga doesn't deserve a 12-episode anime series and 5-episode (with last 2 episodes nothing to with the manga) OAV.
The plot development is pretty bad, I'm not just saying from the point of view of having read the manga. This is deja vu of the last volumes in Love Hina. The first 3 OAVs have connection with the manga (at least some scenes) but they deleted the scenes that really give an impact and replaced it with light scenes or fan service. For example, in OAV1 when shooting the movie for the cultural festival they removed Nishino's confession that she still wanted a relationship with Junpei to something that the entire incident was all planned by Film Club to shoot a more realistic movie. In OAV3 when Junpei was trying to escape Oumi Academy they removed the part where he shouted at Nishino Fan Club members to stop following Nishino everyday because its bothersome for her to be followed by a large number of guys especially at work and getting beaten up for being cocky. This scene was deleted and replaced by Junpei beaten up by Film Club members because they thought he had a date with Nishino. They removed the drama that would’ve made this series a very good one if you ask me. But if there is a single strength in the OAVs or the anime for that matter, that would be removing all the unnecessary things that made me feel worse while reading the manga. That would be Amachi, Satsuki's advances and Nishino wanting Manaka for herself. These chapters are unfair to Aya, and I felt that the anime sided with the East side all throughout.
Character development is also bad in this OAV, even for the well-developed characters from the anime. They are trying to introduce manga characters like Chinami and Kozue to the series but all they do is have them popped up in scenes for no particular reason and having them tagging along in the next episodes. Aya might've saved me from giving this review but after OAV5, I just can't accept everything. OAV5 I believe is from Omake 14-15% (omakes has nothing to do with the original plot) but they made it an episode, I for one liked that particular omake but there is supposed to be a limit and this is way going way overboard, it destroyed the whole series!
The drawings are much worse than the anime, though the anime drawings is not entirely bad because it still captured the cuteness of the characters and enough for me to fall in love with Aya. Though I admit its really hard copying drawings from Kawashita (yes, I dropped the honorific -sensei for giving me a bad ending of Ichigo! Beh!), being known for her very detailed artwork, though majority of her characters are recycled.
Sounds and background music can't be compared to the anime. I personally like the anime background music but this OAV has nothing in particular. This is because I watched the anime special after OAVs (Yui chapter, her best chapter IMO), and realized that the anime still has its good points, the special also saved me from giving a much harsh review that what I'm already writing.
If you want a good continuation where the anime left off I suggest you postpone watching these OAVs and read the manga. I'm sure you'll feel the same way as I do afterwards. The anime made me read the manga, which is good point I probably continued Ippo if I watched the OAVs first. Though I can't say much about the manga ending, (yes, yes I've ranted enough) the manga will keep you hooked for days and I consider it one of the best manga I've read.

| Needless to say to all those who have watched the origional serise... WTF!!
First off, it is unfair to judge the "ova" collection as a whole seeing as each episode is nearly completely different from the preceding one in atmosphere (not theme which would be "otaku fantasy land")
I dont believe that the "ova" serise actually had 6 episodes, but then I dont live in japan and could only find out about the ovas via the internet, but what I was able to discern is that there was a special, a jump festa special, and 4 ova episodes.
The specials were moderately good, and actually had to do with the story laid down by the tv serise. (or at least I with the help of my semi functional brain decided as much)
The ovas however arent even worthy of a Second viewing, or perhaps even a first for that matter. Each one was a tottaly pointles waste of animation that didnt develope any story or really inspire a lasting impression either (other than OMG what did I waste 5 hrs Dling that steaming pile of crap for)
and the fourth ova...... oddly enough, i found that it best compares to a certain point in the anime berserk where the story gets tottally mutialated and you sit there watching in horror and wonder, could I be DREAMING? please lord please? no? .....damn
Summary, watch the specials, not the ova
EDIT: 08/08/06:
After I completed the manga, I have decided that the ovas werent in fact tottal crap, but that they just dont work as ovas (which means that ovas are supposed to be stand alone episodes based on a show that one could watch without haveing felt that they missed out on something by not watching the show first. That being said, they either needed to have more ovas to add depth or... well just shouldnt have made them in the first place. they kinda followed the manga, but not quite... whatever I Give UP! (Ichigo 100% kicks ass anyway!))

| Ichigo OVA... lol... there's nothing worse then the second season or OVA continuation of an already harem/fanservice/ecchi based anime (don't get me wrong, I like some of this animes) why? because they really don't wanna make an ending conclusion and just persist to take the money from the otakus and still leave an open space for another season... Ichigo OVA proves that with full honours.
Yeah the creators probably thought the ecchi scenes in the series were to serious, so they decided to throw some more spice in it in the form of sexy outfits rolleplaying, and dumb pretexts for two people to always end up in a hot situation... and they just coupled it with some of the lamest jokes I ever seen.
Yes Ichigo series never had a real story, and in the good tradition of making this an even more spicy anime, they completly pulled out any thread of story, there's noo story or conclusion to the story whatsoever. So it's not enough that the "poor" main character has to choose between 4 girls, now he ends up with a few extra girls who adore him for nooo reason... Poor guy will forever have to think of what a huge curse he has over him, to be loved by all those girls and not to be able to choose one... and that's really the lamest story I've ever seen, well almost.
That's why I hate harem animes... cose all the girls love the stupidest, cowardest guy with no sign of a real personality, the goody good type that likes the boobs but doesn't wanna touch them... and yet all the girls jump him for noo logic reason... Well I guess it has something to do with pleasing the masses of oraku's who somehow imagine themselves to be in that guy's place.
Well to be fair there is one episode that prooved to be really entertaining.. episode 3.. which didn't concentrate on a lame romance as an excuse to show ecchi, but it went all the way to male perversion with no wussy romance at all, kinda like in Green Green Tv... yes the jokes were good in this one.. I just like it when it doesn't wanna cover up it's real reason with some excuse and it just shows what it really is... This is the only part I enjoyed.
I'm not even gonna talk about the animation, which was the only good thing this anime had... cose the storiless story, the annoying main character with all his mindless love slave girls (and I'm only giving it a 2 instead of 1 because some chars, even dough dumb, were quite cute) and the schratchy strawberry OP coupled with some even more annoying bg music and voices just throw this anime somewhere at the bottom of my list...
So in conclusion... if you're not an Ichigo fan... DON't WATCH THIS.

| I'll start off by saying these three simple letters... "WTF"? The OVAs make no sense. New characters just appeared out of nowhere. They provided no explainations of why they are in contact with the protagonist. The story is even worsen by the total randomness of the scenarios. There's no plot development. Heck, there is NO plot. Characters are still the same.
I would expand upon the review but the basic ideas are simple. Animations - Same, Sound - Same, Story - Worse, Character - Same. Not recommended... unless you just wanna see the rest of the Ichigo 100% or looking forward to the ecchi (not much of an ecchi tho).

| ...I'm 99% positive that there are only actually 4 OAVs as opposed to 6 like animenfo says, so I'll go ahead and review this now... (animenfo may be counting Jump Festa + These 4 OAVs + TV Special...)
The first word that comes to mind when thinking of this is "uneven". Episode 1 is insanely dull, 2 is REALLY funny, 3 is just wrong, and 4 is a WTF episode. I wish they all could have been like episodes 2 (& 4, to a lesser extent), because those truly pushed the limit of what could been shown on TV (since these weren't on TV), which made them hilarious (or bizarre) to the MAX. It's kind of disappointing that even though I liked the TV series ending, that these OAVs didn't give us a real ending, but were just a series of incidents of the daily life of the gang.
Overall, if you watched Ichigo 100% TV, then you need to see these. If not, and you watch these before the TV series, you will think Ichigo 100% is a really crappy franchise. This is something truly for the fans, and anyone else will be left cold.

| The Ichigo 100% OVAS are quite annoying.
They're not all the same, they go from passable to quite watchable, but some of them are also hell boring.
Animation: High Quality. Very refinee choice of colours, although characters' faces are .. too big and I don't like that.
But overall the show is joyful for the eyes, in its art factor.
Sound: bah.. there's not much. I like the OP (Kimiiro 100%) a lot, that scores a couple of points. But for the rest, the seiyuu work is just plain the same, it's like they go always saying the same lines in the same way, a bit annoying.
Mention for Nishino voice, cute as the character.
Story: There isn't a story. It's just a bunch of scenarios to try to convince Manaka choosing one of the girls.
Rarely funny, quite predictable, often boring. Disappointing.
Characters: they're the same as they were in the tv series, just that now you came to know them already, and gone the "new" factor, they've lost a bit.
By the way, Manaka looks a little less dumb than before (but just a little!).
Value: There's not much of valuable here. They're just dragging the story ahead, probably for marketing needings. Those OVAS are quite useless unless at the end of them there will be a choice from Manaka, and thus and ending.
In that case I'll edit here a bit.
Enjoyment: 1 episode (the first) out of 5 enjoyed me a bit, I actually liked the third, but I totally disliked the others, especially the last (5th) which really was out of the blue, insane and unmentionably boring.

| Ichigo 100% OVA has the essential humor of the series without all the unnecessary plot elements and (extra) long winded self-thought. Again, Junpei has trouble with decision and each episode is devoted to a single girl. Nothing is ever decided in this OVA series, so if you're looking for that, don't! But even if there isn't any closure, I enjoyed every single moment of the humor. They really included some great scenarios of humor that really made the girls' personalities shine.
I thought that the OVAs were better and much more enjoyable. If you want the revisit the best parts of Ichigo 100% sometime in the future, watch this!
As for animation, sound, story, basically the same as the series, so if you're curious about what I thought about it go read the series. However, that doesn't matter. The animation is clean, the girls are cute, the voices are very fitting for each characters, and all quite nice.
