| This one-episode special takes place in the middle of the series when Yui is trying to get into Oumi High School (the one where Nishino goes). It gives some background information on Yui and shows Manaka having fun with his "childhood friend". It's a short addition to the series that's a decent watch for those who have watched the Ichigo 100% TV series.

| This ichigo comes after the series most probably as it shares the same intro and ending with the anime. For a 1 ep it does very well, but you really need to see the anime or read the manga to understand what this anime is about.

| * a short special that has the length of a regular episode*
I saw the Ichigo 100% series a while ago but did not review it. I decided to watch this special today for some reason that happens to be becase it was short and there was only two reviews for it.
Now for said this special was actually pretty good and it wasonly as long as a regular episode, I enjoyed it. It has a pretty good story for a short amount of time.
Animation -
I thought the animation was very good. The colors were really impressive with the shading and the tints that happened to be used. The characters and the backgrounds had a good animation style that I enjoy which is always good. The movements were really smooth and there were no sketchy parts that I noticed. Overall for this animation catagory I give it an 8/10.
Sound -
The opening and ending theme were the same as in the series. They lyrics in both the OP and ED themes fit with anime, I admit I they do fit even though I don't like the J-pop. The background music in the scenes were from the TV series which was no problem. I like the seiyuus voices. I mean the Yui's voice was sweet sounding without it being high-pitched. The other seiyuus fit their role as well and it fely as they put effort into the voice acting.
Story -
The story was actually good for a 23 minute special. If you saw ichigo 100% you know Yui lives with Junpei to go get prepared to go to Aumi Academy which is a high school. That being said, this special is abou t how Yui's father who figured out that Yui was not only staying at Jumpi's house but staying in his room when he saw Yui naked when she got up the first day back to her house. The father doesnt want Yui staying there now and Yui runs away . Jumpai brings her back. She gets to go to Aumi afterall. Bye the way I didn't spoil it because I only told a few things. The story believe it or not isn't that fast paced.
Characters -
The characters mostly revolved around Junpai and Yui trying to get Yui to stay go to the high school she wants to. There is a little bit of mor feelings for eachother.
If you have seen Ichigo 100% this special really isn' a continuation of the series its just meant for a ^SPECIAL^.
Value -
The rewatch valuse is average which means might rewatch or will rewatch but not right away. The collectible valu, this should come with series if you buy a certain import. The subtittles from the fansub I saw it from wre good and asccurate and easy to read.

| To clear up what Yami No Hana said...
The Yui event takes place after the 2nd movie trip, so logically it would follow right up after the very first Jump Fiesta OVA (and that would have followed up the 1st TV season).
The show producers deserve to be shot. There is lots of confusion and all the OVAs are out of joint (and mostly filler).
If you really want your true Ichigo 100% experience, you can't go to the anime. You *have* to read the manga.
That all said, the special isn't bad - it follows the Yui story more faithfully than most other episodes in the TV/OVA series. It also garners a lil' something extra for using Yui's *best* story w/o butchering it.
I still stand by my reservation, though - read the manga. Now.
Yanime still has them and it's not yet liscensed.

| This TV special is probably the best Ichigo 100% anime, and that's kind of upsetting. This special focuses on Yui, and while Yui was (and still is) my least favourite of the four girls, we finally get a much needed insight into Yui's past, and what her motivations are for getting into Josui.
In terms of continuity, it's kind of confusing where exactly this falls (I still don't know if this should go before or after the 4 OAVs - I'd say it's between OAV 2 and 3, but it makes no sense for the creators to put this there), but for one of the best chapters of the Ichigo 100% anime, that doesn't matter at all. This is highly recommended, and WE NEED MORE ICHIGO 100%!!
