| As a long time avid fan of Detective Conan works, I was extremely excited to watch this. As a movie in its own right, it is quite an enjoyable viewing due mainly to the nicely done animation and cliffhanger/climactic events along this 1hour 40 minute ride. However, in comparison to most other Detective Conan movies, I feel the story is a bit lacking. The mystery is not as interesting, the characters seem to just make guest appearances without much contribution to the story and if you aren't familiar with Detective Conan, this one wouldn't exactly be the best one to watch.
This movie relies quite heavily on familiarity with the series. One would really have to know all the different personalities of the characters as well as the long time running jokes in the more recent episodes to fully appreciate the subtleties in this series. But putting that all aside, Detective Conan mostly focuses on 'action related' scenes and more intense moments rather than the typical let's solve this mystery. Like all past DC movies, action has a been a large focus, with chase scenes and flashy soccer ball kickings but in this particular movie, it makes up a large part of the screen time.
One thing that I didn't really appreciate in this series was the lack of an interesting build up. In most DC movies or hour long specials, they spend some time building up character interactions or the scenario. Usually, all the characters are in it together but for some odd reason in the beginning they decided to put Ran and the rest into their own activity whereas all the Detectives in the past episodes make some sort of guest appearance along Mouri and Conan's race against the clock. I feel that the success of most of the series is the interesting character bonds among the protagonists but in this one they replaced it with basically a solo act by Conan with a little help by Kaitou Kid and Hattori Heiji.
With the lack of a good unified progression of the story, I feel this is definitely one of the weaker DC movies both storywise and characterwise. While it was still enjoyable with the high animation quality as well as interesting action scenes, it doesn't really maintain the character bond aspects that I love most about Detective Conan.

| Das “Tantei-tachi no Requiem” mir gefallen wird war schon lange im Voraus klar und wie es bei jedem anderen Conan-Movie der Fall ist hat man sich auch dieses Mal keine Blöße gegeben. Der nunmehr 10. Film wartet mal wieder mit allem auf was man von Meitantei Conan erwartet und glänzt wie es üblich ist mit einer spannenden Handlung. Dieses Mal hat man sich mal wieder dafür entschieden den Zuschauer mehr dazu zu animieren seine Gehirnzellen anzustrengen und sich was Action angeht vornehm zurückgehalten. Und der Fall den Conan & Co. dieses Mal zu lösen haben erfordert wahrhaftig einiges an Aufmerksamkeit da er so verzweigt und vielschichtig ist wie kaum ein anderer zuvor. Doch in Sachen Aufmerksamkeit kann „Tantei-tachi no Requiem“ den Zuschauer schon nach wenigen Minuten problemlos ködern. Auf eine längere Aufbauphase (wie zB in Movie 09) wird nämlich verzichtet und Conan, seine Freunde und sonstige Bekannte werden schnurstracks in eine Lage gebracht die ordentlich ins schwitzen bringt. Damit gestaltet sich der Verlauf des Films von Anfang an sehr spannend und man fühlt sich als hätte man Sekundenkleber auf dem Sesselpolster während man den Film schaut. Schon fast überflüssig zu erwähnen das mal wieder alles super durchdacht ist und als extra Bonbon hat man sämtliche wichtigen Figuren der TV-Serie in den Film mit eingebaut so das jeder seinen (mehr oder weniger) spektakulären Auftritt hat. Für mich war schon die Anwesenheit von Heiji und Kaitou Kid allein ein Grund zu überschwänglicher Freude, da ich diese beiden Charaktere zu meinen absoluten Favoriten zähle. Vor allem ist es mal wieder Kids Anwesenheit die dem Film noch den extra Schuss Würze gibt und wie immer dafür sorgt das man fast paranoid wird bei dem Versuch seine Tarnung zu entlarven (ich habe es übrigens geschafft, worauf ich persönlich sehr stolz bin ^_-). Ach ja, showdownmäßig gibt’s einmal mehr einen spannenden Abschluss und wie die anderen Filme bleibt auch „Tantei-tachi no Requiem“ dem Conan-Movie-Grundsatz „Glaubst du das war das Ende? HA!“ treu. Fazit: Auch dieser Film ist überaus sehenswert und punktet mit einer komplexen sowie hochspannenden Handlung, die jeden Conan- sowie Nicht-Fan mitreißen wird.
