| This was a very good anime. It's kinda hard to keep my attention for 51 episodes. Only GTO was able to keep me interested in every episode I watched for longer. This anime is very well written, which is always important. I don't feel completely emotional about it as I do with other anime, but it was very good, nonetheless. On to the review.

| Kiba is an adventure anime with little action. Don't expect intense action when watching this anime because you'll be disappointed.
The anime is slow at first. It took to about episode 20 or so before it picked up the pace with the story. There isn't a lot of action in this anime hence the adventure in the genre description.
What sets this anime apart from all the other kiddy animes?
When I said kiddy, I meant something similar to any anime with no blood, no love story, and an ending that takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds to sum the entire story.
Although there are characters that got killed the anime, all the R rated content was taken out and we were left with people dying by having a sword gone through them and showing no blood. By showing no blood, the anime clearly shows a sign that it's aimed toward the younger viewers.
Be warned this anime takes awhile to get into the actual story. The action itself wasn't enough to sustain my attention. I don't recall a fight going on for longer than 2 or 3 minutes other than the final battle.
I am using the Optional Field in this review to simplify it for those who want a quick skim.
Final comments: I personally don't recommend this anime to people who couldn't watch the first 10 episodes of bleach since you'll be waiting long only to be disappointed in the action..

| "I am done watching those digimon-pokemon animes" [even those are not rubbish, honestly, i couldn't really love pokemon..] that was what i thought about KIBA after my friend gave the series and watched 2-3 episodes. But I was completely wrong. KIBA is one of the best animes i have watched in recent moths.
Animation:
Animation is not superb but it is okay. Coloring didn't satisfy me [Colors are not so lively as Naruto or some nowadays' animes whatever ] at first but i got used it. Also the drawing of "spirits" are not so good but the i liked the main characters', background's drawings. Fighting scenes, which frequently occur, are well done too.
Sound:
The OST is great. Have been listening to Miyake Jun for 3 days non-stop. The music is really well chosen and fit the scenes nicely. Hmm, makes you get the spirit most of the time.
Story:
Zedd is a lonely kid, who tries to find peace to live happily. But it seems to be impossible in the city of Calm. And one night he travels to an other world. The new world is much different then Calm. There are some countries and all of them are unique.[some are governed by senate, some are by cruel evil people etc.] The key point is that, there are "spirits" in the new world, which gives you enormous power to fight and due to this fact power is really important here. Our hero, Zed, also searches for power but at the same time he tries to prevent evil to gain more power. The adventures depend on that idea. Mostly those 5-6 episode adventures are fascinating and make you watch the episodes one of after one.
Character:
Characters of the show is really strongly developed. Indeed non of them are superficial. Every one of them changes his attitude towards good/evil, power, loyalty etc. Moreover, the main character: Zed is really cool. He is strong, loyal, stubborn, a bit cold-hearted. The weak point is sure he is probably the only character you may be a fan of.
Value:
This one is really unique and fun to watch. But having too mant episodes, I don't think i will watch again in near future.

| I have seen all of it and I can tell you that it is very very easy to hate this and stop half way rather than finishing it. Its because this is a pure bishounen anime and clearly made in a way that its as marketable as pokemon.

| I *loved* KIBA. I'm writing this review after seeing the entire series (51 eps) - andI thorougly enjoyed it. Imagine a stupid kid anime like Digimon or Pokemon...and then have everyone die. That's KIBA.
There are so many plot twists, and surprises in every episode, it really kept me interested week after week. The fighting scenes generally aren't *amazing*, but some are pretty good. However, character development is great, which I'll get more into later on...

| I have seen 46 episodes thus far.
Wow, I wrote a long review for this show but somehow despite logging in I wasn't logged in (makes no since to me either) so it was all in vain. The reason I'm writing again is because KIBA is worth writing about so this time I'll cut to the chase and please forgive my poor writing, it's late. The animation is good and you won't see too many re-used animations (I'm talking about you Dragon Ball Z);fluid action. The voices fit the characters well and the background music blends well with the current situation. The story is one of it's strongest points although it starts off a little slow it picks up a lot around episode 6 or 7 but you must not skip episodes despite it's pace. Each episode thus far (remember I've seen 46) has meant something (well there is ONE, when you see it you'll know but by that time you should be too drawn into the series to care). There are plenty of plot twists; do expect to be surprised (yes I know it's an oxymoron. Despite the late hours still got me humor). The characters AT FIRST seem like the typical anime characters we know and ... well we know. Overtime you will see that this is not true. What makes the characters so great is that they are as human as possible. When something major happens in the story they react both physically and mentally. They change and don't remain the same (Think of one for a minute cough One Piece cough). The characters evolve with the ever so unpredictable plot. KIBA is an anime that has good action, story, and character elements. If it was bad I wouldn't be up so late re-writing this review. Perhaps I'll edit this later, or maybe not. Please don't pass this off as some sleepy guys rants but approach KIBA with everything I have said in mind and you'll enjoy it. KIBA is an investment anime that is worth it's time. When your on episode 46 like I am currently on you see what I mean.

| Based on 13 episodes.
Another lackluster action anime... Although I commend KIBA for trying to incorporate many elements such alternate fictional worlds, intercountry politics, fluid character design and art, when added together, KIBA just doesn't amount to much - mostly because there's a little bit too much going on. There's too much time spent on developing the overarching picture with all the country politics and not enough on Zed (the main character). Even if they did focus on Zed, his hot-headedness and brashness don't amount to much either. Furthermore, Zed's friend, who also got transported to this alternate world, doesn't seem to be very interesting.
At first, when I saw the action scenes, I thought, "Hmm, interesting. Fighting with elements whose powers are summoned from these weird balls". Then all of a sudden it became Pokemon like... these Shard Casters could not only summon balls of elemental powers, but summon spirits as well. Each Shard Caster can carry multiple 'spirits', similar to that in Pokemon. Soon, I got tired of the action scenes. Although I commend their more fluid designs, the action scenes just aren't that tense or realistic. It's just swing swing, dodge dodge, punch duck - very typical and unshowy.
KIBA seems to be an anime that relies much on political rivalries. There are at least four main countries, and they each have their own faults. Many of the countries seem to be dictatorships and rule with an iron fist. Zed manages to stay in Tempura for some time. Meanwhile, Zed's friend gets transported around from place to place. When you think about it, KIBA doesn't seem like an anime focused on these main characters. Instead, it follows them around, but only using them as some sort of landmark of which events happen to unfold around them. In general, the storytelling style is very boring. The politics don't feel too interesting. Despite the presence of spies and conflicts everywhere, I don't care enough about the story to care about these supposed 'big' turn of events.
Overall, at first KIBA seemed like an interesting anime. I certainly liked the animation design, and some of the mysteries and mystical powers caught my attention. But soon, everything got tedious and boring. The action scenes were reptitive. The characters which caught my attention weren't the main focus of the story. Finally, the story itself is some lackluster political conflict story with wizards or sages or knights or whatever bicker over power.

| [Based on current episode]
Ok the first episode really was a "WTF is going on here??!" but as it progress we are slowly introduced to the concept of Spirits and Shard Casters and the countries and so on and from there this is where Kiba shines.
Also I finally know what this reminds me of. An anime version of Phantasy Star Online with RPG-Pokemon-Slayer-qualities. Definitely on par with Bleach and Naruto. And definitely worth the watch.

| [Regards the Kyuuketsuki fansub version]
KIBA is rapidly becoming one of my favorite anime, following directly after Bleach! and followed in turn by Naruto. After that's about twenty other anime, but we don't care about them.
I found the strongest points to be the animation and characters. I enjoy especially the variety of "real characters," secondary characters with distinct personalities, because it really helps bring the scene alive.
I consider this a "must watch" for shounen anime fans, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

| All together this has been a really good series so far - Through 21 episodes. The animation is nice and the story has the ability to draw you in. It had the potential to be one of the best animes for this year and is definately worth a watch. The one area the show faulters is in the writing, The concept is great but many things are not written realistically. Understanding that this is a science fiction show, the writing mainly fails in how its characters react to their own environment and situations. All in all, it is a great concept that feels a bit rushed. I still recommend a watch if you like indulging in RPGish worlds.

| Finally, a cool anime show for 2006 with great character designs and top notch animation. Just to give you a start, it gives me the feeling of Ninja Scroll, Melody Of Oblivion and Blood+. The Opening gives a lot of the show's potential and the scenes look very promising.
Animation: Excellent. I can't wait to see more. It's on par with the top animes, if not better. It IS made by MadHouse (Hajime no Ippo TV creator) and Studiolive.
Sound: At last, we get to hear some Nami Tamaki, the one who sang "Believe" in Gundam Seed. It gives you a cool feeling that will keep you watching this show.
Story: The show seems to have a dark setting. First episode seems to be on the dark side, but I can't tell whether or not the upcoming episodes will be the same. The dark setting breathes off a similar feeling to Blood+ and Melody of Oblivion. The basic storyline is listed as Zedd, the main character, possesses a monster within him that will change the fate of another world which he's about to enter. (Come to think of it, it reminds me of Kyubi in Naruto) I'm going to wait until later before giving a rating on the story.
Character: The character design seems to be from a variety of shows which makes it pretty interesting. It's like having characters in different shows come in all together to form a unique storyline. I like Zedd's design which seem to be different from many animes out there. He has tanned skin and shadowy eyes which makes him a very cool character.
Value: There should be lots, but it's too early to give it a rating. I'll be back for sure.
Enjoyment: After reading my review, one must know that I have a heated feeling for this show and that's why I'm writing this review. As I watch more episodes, I'll update my review and give more .
