| Aria the NATURAL is an anime you should watch when you want a change of pace rather than something grab hold of your attention. There is not much of a story, but the characters are easy to identify with. Most episodes are about appreciating the things and people around the characters.

| (Crystalnova fansubs. Very good translation like in Aria the Natural)
This is one of the series where the viewer should watch one episode a day or week.
Because instead on drawing you in and making you feel concentrated and excited this show actually makes you disorganized.
I think that 26 episodes were too many and they could have easily squeezed it to 13 episodes and it could achieve brilliance. Unfortunately 2/5 of the series offer nothing that would make a good slice-of-life title. Still some episodes were brilliant, mixing dreams with reality in a way that reminded me of some obscure TV series that still haunt my childhood memory. Not many animes achieved that.
Problem for me was that regarding post-2000 anime humour with all these new type of grimaces and catch-phrases, it left me all indifferent and made a great deal of some episodes a nuisance. But if you see 1 episode a day this is not such a great deal.
Like in "Princess Tutu" and "Someday's Dreamers", "Aria the Natural" has some truly magical moments, not often seen in TV series, let alone for a 2006 production.
Music was as in the first series of high quality, even if it was a little cheesy in some scenes to create a magic atmosphere.
Also while the visuals, character design and the settings were exceptional the characters were almost not moving at all. I felt as if I was watching a slide show. Too bad for such nice backgrounds. The reconstruction of Venice, one of the best places I've travelled, was excellent.
The characters are the same as in the first season and this time the viewer gets to know them better. The main lead turns also much better in some episodes, including an adaptation of a very popular novel. There are some episodes where I had to tolerate the conventional anime humour of today but some moments were dramatic as well.
Aria the Natural was one of the few 2006 series I was eager to watch. Overall I was not left disappointed and this is a must watch for slice of life animes and if you liked the director's other works as well.
Recommended, except if you prefer to be impressed with more direct means.

| Having watched the first, I knew what to expect for this one.
The everyday lives of the undines continue as usual, depicted in their encounters with people they meet and with the people they are familiar with. Each episode begins a new story which eventually leads to a rather peaceful ending. The atmosphere is enhanced by the scenery of Neo-Venezia and of the interactions between the people. Overall it gives a feel good feeling, which leaves no room for criticism to me.
Each character is the same as the last, though they added in some new side characters, the expressions of the 3 lead female undines add some humour to the show.
Animation is rather normal, but I liked how the sceneries were done, it left me in awe at the detail some scenes were given.
As for music, it's got to be Aria's number 1 good point, because the BGM adds in alot of atmosphere to the show, be it happy or sentimental, it lends a positive note to the anime.
Overall Aria is more of a chill type of anime, most of the episodes are able to leave me feeling sleepy due to the slow pace of the show, but don't expect any deep plots, the good character interaction is what makes Aria an outstanding anime in this genre. Definitely worth your time watching.

| This is a very good S2 for an anime which is already very good in S1. It continues where it leaves in S1 and watching this directly is ok, but then its better to watch S1 and followed by this. If you like Aria, you will like this a lot more cause the creators manage to make something out of a concept which is already seems full. Its more of a mini fantasy story mixed with some character development and lots of soft stuff.

| Continuing the story from the first season. Aria the Natural still telling the story of Mizunashi Akari and her interactions with people She met during Her training as a professional undine. However Aria the Natural brought us closer to customs and events of Neo-Venezia, and of course there are plenty of new encounters either with people and supernatural being (Caitsith for example..).

| If you've seen the original ARIA the animation, you know exactly what to expect. Even though this takes off right where the first show ended it's not exactly neccessary to watch the original to get this. The characters are fairly simple so even without their background stories (which the first series kinda provides) you should easily be able to identify with and enjoy their stories. The stories consist of the leisurely days spent by several undines and the adventures they go on. The stories are never really amazing and gripping. In fact they are quite the opposite and go down the way of the slice of life style.
Animation - nothing earth shattering but very warm and pleasant suiting the anime's style. Often times the character's faces switch to an awkward face seen often in manga which over exaggerates emotion and lacks the detail of the regular face. Regardless very nice
Sound - music is the same as the first series with a new opening and ending song, all of which are soothing and pleasant natured. It's the kind of music you could take a nap to hence why some of the audience might find it hard to stay awake lol.
Story - nothing special, everyday events but overly sugar coated to the point where some may be disgusted. If you don't mind this then you will enjoy this show immensely.
Character - fairly simple characters, but enjoyable to watch.
Value - Worth seeing if you don't mind the slow pace, sugary stories and fairly simple characters. I know I'm almost making them sound like bad things but they really are not. If these things are up your alley then this show is a true gem.
Enjoyment - I keep up with every episode as it comes out, so I definitely enjoy it and reccommend it to others with similar tastes.
