| Nuku Nuku Dash is a "re-imagining" of the original story as a magical girlfriend show. It has a few good moments, and it's not painful to watch, but it's not outstanding in any way. Nuku Nuku doesn't have much personality, and neither does Ryunosuke (grown-up version of the character from the TV and alleged love-interest), or anyone else, if it comes to that. The episode stories are bland and the ending is formulaic and unconvincing. The best and most memorable parts were comedy moments involving Akiko, Ryunosuke's mother. I think it would have been better if, rather than getting more serious than previously, they'd gone the other way and made Nuku even stupider - she is supposed to have the brain of a cat, after all. Watching this show won't kill you, but there's better out there.

| Now, what was this about? Very dull series filled with stereotypical characters. The same characters that are the dullest stereotypes. Worse off, these characters are put in a position in the story where they will have the worst entertainment value. There were no good ideas in this series, makes one wonder why it was made, and why the manga was made in the first place. I mean, if it was purely for money, it should have been more commercial. As it is it's simply dull, pointless, and uncapable of making us emotionally attached. It was completely without highlights. Action? Too few times, too short time. I can barely remember it was any. Comedy? Too typical and uninventive. All seen before, except usually better. Drama? Seen done better. The plot? Was there really one? Well, there's a corporation led by someone who wants to capture the main character that wants to protect....everyone generally. Kind girl, growing boy, trying and tired wife, eccentric professor....sigh. Basically I was always indifferent, except when annoyed because it was all stereotypical, except a bit worse because it was also done so boring (like jokes done too mildly et cetera).

| Tja, mit DASH heißt es endgültig Lebewohl zum Flair der 1. Nuku Nuku OVA zu sagen. Da man anscheinend gerne mit der Story und den Charakteren herumexperimentiert hat kommt mit DASH nämlich einmal mehr eine Serie die außer die Namen der Figuren kaum noch etwas mit dem verbindet was noch aus der OVA bekannt ist. Die OVA präsentierte noch eine gut ausgewogene Mischung aus Action und Comedy, während die TV-Serie viel zu extrem auf albernen Klamauk setzte und die liebenswerten Figuren völlig zerpflückte. DASH hingegen baut dieses Mal mehr auf eine etwas ernstere, dramatische Atmosphäre und erstmals hat man versucht etwas Tiefe in die Handlung mit einzubauen. Heraus gekommen ist zwar etwas Besseres als die TV-Serie (diese zu übertreffen ist allerdings sowieso keine große Hürde) aber im Endeffekt auch nichts Anderes als eine lahme Action-Drama-Romanze mit standardmäßigem Inhalt, die wohl kaum jemanden begeistern dürfte besonders wenn derjenige schon einige Animes gesehen hat (wie in meinen Fall). Der einzige kleine Anreiz der wenigstens noch teilweise dazu motiviert weiter zu schauen ist gerade mal ein einziger Charakter und zwar Hauptfigur Nuku Nuku. Dafür sorgt aber auch nur der allseits bekannte “Gedächtnisschwund der Hauptfigur“ welcher immerhin ein paar Fragen bezüglich dieses Charakters aufwirft auf die man eine Antwort haben will. Allerdings lässt sich die Serie sehr viel Zeit damit und es dauert bis kurz vor Schluss bis sich endlich etwas in der Richtung in Bewegung setzt. Um genau zu sein müssen erste einmal 75 % der Serie vergehen bis man diesen Punkt erreicht hat denn ein 3/4 der Serie besteht aus wenig spannenden Fillerepisoden, hier und da etwas Fanservice,nur weitestgehend, dezenter Comedy, klischeebehafteter Romantik und recht unspektakulären Action-Szenen. Die Story verhält sich innerhalb dieses Zeitraums genauso statisch wie die Charaktere und absolut nichts geht in diesen 2 Sparten voran. Da die Story ohnehin schon kein Meisterstück der Originalität ist und sämtliche Charaktere, die bis dahin auftreten, nicht gerade große Sympathien auf meiner Seite ernten konnten wurde es immer ermüdender dem ganzen laschen Treiben zuzuschauen. Somit bleiben am Ende nur die restlichen 25 % übrig, welche zwar auch keine großen Bäume ausreißen aber im Vergleich zu der vorangegangenen Schose wenigstens ein wenig unterhaltsamer ausfallen und die Handlung sowie Charaktere endlich mal zu Potte kommen lassen. Insgesamt ist DASH, auch wenn die Serie die Schmach von Nuku Nuku-TV ein klein wenig reinwäscht, kein würdiger Abschluss der Nuku Nuku-Reihe und ich werde mich wohl ewig fragen warum zum Teufel man nicht einfach den Stil, die Charaktere und die Story der 1. OVA für die “Fortsetzungen“ übernommen hat. Also liebe Produzenten, schreibt euch folgendes hinter die Ohren: “Never change a winning Team“!

| Dash version is the most typical action/drama anime. startout with mystery beautiful girl robot coming out of nowhere. Then Super Dynamic Sexy Hyper Girl robot fighing denfend the city with unknow identity. Ryu-Kun is the teenager in the story so that the series can make into mature love and not a kiddy-babysitter-love like other nuku nuku series. In this series, there weren't any stupid gag, even though there is some comic jokes once in while. Nuku Nuku in this series is totally perfect girl. Beautiful flowing with the wind. Also, action is play mostly on this series. Action scenes were good, except that they didn't think any moves for our heroine lol. Anyway, this is a must if you like the OAV one. Serious story, no stupid jokes like TV series. Enjoy.
