| The first 3 volumes focus mainly on action instead of romance. The 3rd volume should be characterized as pure shounen manga. Only the last 2 volumes manage to add a little romance element, though nowhere near the quality and emotional tension of titles such as I"s and Video Girl Ai.
The title could be better but lets not forgett the short length that isnt enough for the reader to get to like the characters.
Good story overall for a romance manga, but I'd suggest this title only as an introduction to the mangaka's works, before delving into the much better titles I''s and Video Girl Ai where the readers will see similarities in the characters and much better design.
Characters, for the space devoted to their developement, are good but if the manga had more volumes it could reach the quality of the other two titles.
Good manga for its genre, even if a bit to short.

| I really love this manga writer's style of character design. All the girls in this manga are very cute (especially Karin), but other than that, DNA^2 does not have much going for it. Basically, all this manga is is some sort of action fighting manga (very similar to DBZ style fighting) with 3 girls and one 'playboy' guy who has dual personalities - one cool and one lame. The girls are all pretty cute, but the story is all action oriented, with no real romance development. The ending is also so sudden - I had to look up how many volumes were released (5) in order to be convinced that there were no more.
That said, I thought that the original story had some neat ideas. Although the present and future timeline stories were a bit stretched and unbeliveable, I was still fascinated with the subject material. Story progression is non-existant, romance non-existant. I guess, relative to other mangas out there, this can be considered as a kind of failure in terms of evoking feelings. Overall, it can be skipped - but there are occassionally a few entertaining aspects to it.

| The Japanese manga version seems to be better, with more detail on the story and it's quality on the art design. It’s worth a read, even you are not into the boy-loves-girl genre. It may be short, but it gave out a lot of impact through the whole story which would make you want to read more. I would let anyone read this if they are mostly into romance manga such as Video Girl Ai or I's.

| DNA2 is the master piece of Masakazu Katsura since Wingsman. However, I hate megaplayboy version2. This remind me of Super Saiya by Toriyama Akira. However the story has its' own originality. This is great anime until the very end. I hate the ending, however this kind of ending make fans remeber this anime for a long time.

| One of the mostly enjoyment mangas that I have been read ever. I know that I rate the anime too low, but it's the truth, the design of the anime ( comparing it to the manga ) is really but, the same happens with the action and the development.
The design is exclent ( as all mangas of Katsura ), the story is pretty, and the development is good ( none like anime ). The character's personality is better defined than in the anime, and the scence in the manga are different as the anime scene ( at least in my opinion, they are better ).
The DNA² manga, is more enjoyment and funny than the TV series, I laugh a lot with that katsura's manga, more than in the TV series. This is an essential manga, for all manga-fan who would luagh awhile.

| I absolutely LOVED DNA^2, I read it in chinese though... and my chinese reading skills aren't exactly top notch so I missed a few details. Although I didn't miss the hot girls in this at all from my lack of understanding of the plot! which is a very important part of the manga :)
I picked up the japanese version afterwards though and it was much better.

| Started off good and then seriously degenerated right around the Ryuuji bit. That part was truly awful, but now that it’s over I’m going to have to read some more before I can finally form a full and unbiased opinion of it. However the premise of it really doesn’t make sense. Sending a woman back to the past at great expense to shoot a guy with very expensive bullets and then paying her a very great amount of money, just so a Mega Playboy won’t be formed doesn’t make any sense at all. They could have just spent a fraction of the money on some chemicals to castrate him, or even a simple scalpel and a little anaesthetic, problem solved! If that solution is deemed too cruel, how much does a simple vasectomy cost? Or a lifetime supply of prophylactics? Sheesh, the whole story from the beginning is dumb, flimsy and unnecessary.
However, this is not always a path to failure. Certainly most of the characters are fairly charming, brainless females and all. The endless bra and panty shots get tedious after a bit, especially considering how flat-chested and flat-bottomed all the girls tend to be. Junta as a hero is a very nice person though, a little unconvincing in his role, but his glitter attack is very amusing and I think he handles his Mega Playboy genes with better grace and class than I ever would.
Art isn’t bad, except my previous complaint about the figures of the girls. For Heaven’s sake, don’t show it unless you have something to show! Nice details on the faces, and I like Junta’s Super Saiyan haircut. Yes, it’s a rip-off but it suits him, so nyaaah :-p. Hmm, what else is there to say about this series? I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone, unless you’re absolutely out of titles to read. It’s not very funny, not very interesting, not very meaningful, not very pretty. I enjoyed some parts of it, but in general I found myself skipping whole pages at times, which was not a very good sign. The dubious translation I used was no help either, alas.

| One of Masakazu Katsura's work again, and once again i enjoyed his series 100% just beautiful style on the characters, lovely story with much love and problems, but not as good as video Girl ai or I's, but STILL a damn good manga, a must read indeed =)

| This manga is good. The story line is decent and i probably would have rated it higher had I not read this right after I's. While not the most complicated plotline this manga does a good job of keeping you interested.

| The basis for the anime series, DNA² is a great series. I was actually surprised at how well the comedy and drama blended in the story. Good character designs, good plot, great ending.
I would recommend Video Girl Ai to those who enjoyed this...
