Like more films created on long animation this one is no exception and is far from good animation films I like to watch; like the Ghibli studio films, or Card Captor Sakura. Why you ask? I will tell you.

This films don't have the "Thing" that makes a good movie, specially the story, and characters. While in normal great productions the main topic is concentrated on very personal and emotional live of heroes - well it just lucks this aspect. The characters are also the main issue. While in normal movie something can be recreated in them, it is forbidden in the movies created from serialized anime. Well you can't touch the emotions of heroes, their personality - to not destroy them in the series storyline.

Animation and sound as for a movie are good, very good, well we are used to them from the series and there is nothing that can surprise us. Well the shikai of the main girl - the new shinigami is well animated, but all of the rest was seen.

Like I said before the problem is the story and the characters that are untouchable. The plot is hardly worth the time in the cinema - it is not complicated, not interesting at all. Well the protagonist did died, but this has no effect on any of the main heroes like Rukia, Ichigo, Inoue anyone. And the Antagonists are poor - in my opinion if they (bleach heroes) are not fighting Aizen it's just a waist of time. Like the animation fillings.

Value of this film is lover then average, it is just a time killer. You may like to watch something much more exiting like the movies that were destined to be movies and not to make you wonder for the purpose of this animation.

The movie was arranged in a fluid style. no amount of time was spent on re-introducing the main characters and it was started in such a way that the impending conflict is quickly hinted and so the totallity of the film is smooth and not dragging. The themes were pretty much standard namely the usage of an outspoken but the still a damsel in distress, who is the key into accomplishing something big as well as a group of revenge---hungry villains.
Unfortunately, the fil failed to encourage the audiences sympathy over them. Because of their all too simple grudge, thus resulting to the easily see them as purely no-good people.
All in all, the first feature fil of Bleach is satisfactory and would most likely live up to the expectations of its fans who love the good mix of action, drama, and comedy of this anime.

I want to preface by telling you that I'm not the biggest fan of Bleach or the entire shounen genre. So please take this review with however many grains of salt that statement is worth to you.

One hallmark of Bleach is its pension for gag humor. Throughout most of the series, gag humor, stuff that seems like it's ripped straight out of the manga, is not only comic relief to be had between the action scenes, it's very often right in the middle of all the action. Memories of Nobody separates the comedy from the more serious segments. This is to be expected. Where a typical shounen series tries to extend action scenes with gags and other techniques, a movie would try to be as concise as possible.

This is the most refreshing aspect of Memories of Nobody. Fights no longer involve long stare downs, senseless dialogue, and other forms of foot dragging. It's straight to business.

It's just too bad that the business end of the action, in fact, the animation in general, is just not up to snuff in terms of quality with your average feature film. Heck, there are TV series' out there with better animation. In a couple of scenes, the backgrounds look stagnant and 2 dimensional, like a painting. When the characters move around with this backdrop, it looks exceedingly awkward; like they're moving in front of a green screen.

The simple character animations, from running to walking, look mechanical, in the same way they would in most TV series'. The torso doesn't really coordinate with the rest of the body in a fluid manner when the characters run. While the action scenes look pretty amazing when judging them against that of the TV series, it's not even comparable to the Norio Matsumoto scenes in the Naruto movies. In terms of fluidity, creativity, and tension from the scene direction, the action scenes of this movie are trumped.

The soundtrack presents nothing new, but I always thought the general soundtrack of Bleach was solid. I especially like "Number One." It's the strangest thing to hear in an Anime action scene. It sounds like a diva's version of "Eye of the Tiger." It's a bit out of place, but I can't help but smile every time they use it.

The returning characters don't get any real development, and we know them already so I'll leave them out of the discussion. The newcomers include a mysterious female Shinigami and a pack of villains. The new girl is a solidly developed character, if a little bit annoying. The mystery around her does become rather touching. The biggest problem is the new cast of villains. They lack any form of meaningful characterization, and might as well be completely anonymous. I don't think the movie would have changed much if we knew absolutely nothing about the villains or their intentions; only that somehow, for some reason, they threatened the world. Their motives are spelled out, but with little more than two sentences. No scenes really illustrate their need to do evil. You can't help but be disconnected with villains as underdeveloped as they are here.

Anything in the realm of Shounen that is concise is maybe two steps short of being a miracle. The mere fact that this plot was not extended into a 20 episode story arc is reason enough to celebrate the story. As an added bonus, the mystery surrounding the new character is fairly interesting and touching in its own right.

Memories of Nobody is a nice breath of fresh air from the TV series. Anyone mired in the series would probably find the movie to their liking. The action is denser and the story is quicker, but when judging Memories of Nobody with feature films in general, it completely loses its luster.

The first Bleach movie was one of the rare opportunities when i did not read the reviews on animenfo before watching. So i was a bit surprised about the bad rating because i thoroughly enjoyed it.
First of all i have to admit that it uses the usual ingredients for a shounen anime movie. First the male lead character meets a random girl that plays a significant role in the end. They happen to become friends and ichigo risks his life to save her in a ferocious battle.
I did not expect anything else from this movie but it had a very sad mood around it. And that is probably its strong point. I really liked senna (the girl ichigo tries to protect) and the thought of her having memories of nobody made me feel with her. Normally i am not too much involved but this time i wanted her to survive so badly that it hurt my stomach. In my opinion Bleach Memories of Nobody is the best shounen movie i have ever seen and i can highly recommend it to anyone who keeps on watching the tv series!!!

The animation was beautifully done. The backgrounds were so detailed and well colored that i was stunned by it. But sometimes the people in the background were liveless beings and the fights were no different from the tv series.
The sound really suited the plot. Melancholic music mixed together with the usual hard rock elements during the fights. And the ed was also very catchy and extended my sad feeling.

Overall the first movie is neither fantastic nor mind-boggling but somehow succeeds to convince me with its sad way of story-telling. A treat to watch and i am looking forward to the second movie coming in december!!!

Bleach's first movie outing is far different from what I thought it would be. However, once I got a sense of the plot, it became very predictable, and thus not worth the time of all except the most dedicated Bleach fan.

This is the Bleach movie which has nothing to do with the anime. It comes though around ep 80-120 where the opening has the memories of nobody characters but are not related to the anime in anyway. It serves as a fanservice at best.

Being that there are little reviews for this anime, I will review it.

Bleach Memories of Nobody is a catchy title if you ask me. It gets you thinking, trying to foresee what's going to happen in the movie.

Animation:
As most of you readers must already know, the animation doesn't differ much from the bleach series. Although it doesn't change much, it still has pretty good animation.

Sound:
Surprisingly enough, the sound doesn't much differ from the anime series also. So you can expect the same actors.

Story:
Here's the good part of the anime. The story is probably one of the best although it's used a lot but what hasn't been used already? In a sense, you get to know the background of Senna which will lead up to the climatic conclusion. I'm not gonna spoil it with details but the ending has to be one of the best.

Character:
The characters are the same in general with the exception of Senna.

Value:
I highly recommend this anime. When it comes out, I'm gonna be sure to buy this movie since it's great to watch even if you're not a bleach fan. You might not understand some of the transformations but the story is dead on and you have to be blind to not see the point of the story.

Enjoyment:
I have to say that I'm not much of a bleach fan myself but this movie is a must see. It has all the action you want in an anime and a great story and ending to back it up. Although the movie has no ties with the series in general, you still see action from the characters from the series.

Recommended for children of all ages. Great action movie, and there's actually blood in it. Story alone did it for me.

Thank You for reading.

Since this is an anime movie, I went into it not having too many expectations. However, I'm really glad I watched it.

The story was really moving, not only because it was well written, but because the main heroine was so well developed. In the course of 90mins you really had a feel for they type of person that she was. Congratz bleach for introducing some nice character dev.

On the other hand, this movie did seemed rushed. And the battles (i.e. the one with Kenpachi :D) could have been drawn out more.

Great movie!

A great choice for existing Bleach fans. More or less the same from the TV series, with more or less better animation, more or less the same songs, and the same characters, plus one. If you like Bleach, don't miss this!

Bleach: MEMORIES OF NOBODY is surprisingly quite a good shounen franchise movie (yes, there will be more than one)... sufficient to say that I fast forwarded most of the boring parts and moved on to the action parts. Not to say I didn't enjoy it; the story is quite generic but still feels good even with only 90 minutes of character development and background. Some finely animated fights are sweet eyecandy and the main heroine is quite the husky cheerful sort of girl - a perfect counterpart to Ichigo's insensitive exterior. A great movie for Bleach fans and a decent movie for everyone else. I definitely recommend this, unlike those stupid Naruto movies which they are still making and milking.

I enjoyed the movie for the most part. The ending really did get to me. Have some good battle scenes and a plot that works. Overall I think it's watchable for fans of Bleach and those just wanting to watch a decent movie. It may however get difficult because there maybe a lot of concepts that you don't understand if you don't know a lot about Bleach.

I'm probably going to go more in-depth with the review when I have the time.
