| Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS is the third in the line of the Nanoha series. This time around, we have Nanoha as a trainer of a new generation of young recruits. This is for a new unit that now Lt. Col. Yagami Hayate has organized to protect the general public from disasters.
Their mission is to stop a deranged scientist who plans to use a spaceship to reshape the world according to his vision. He has cloned one Nakajima Ginga no less than 13 times and implanted his DNA into their wombs so that should he die, they would give birth to a new scientist who would carry out his plans.
Add to this a young girl carrying a relic named Vivio that Nanoha adopts, thrown in lots of action and fanboy service, and you've got a nice anime.
However, I don't recommend this for the under 18 crowd. It's very violent (we see injuries take place) and there is some nudity in it.

| Suffering from over-popularity, the Nanoha franchise pumps out yet another animated series, this time double the length of the first two but lacking a good script to carry on the second main reason why fanboys are fanboys.
StrikerS, similar to what A's did with the original, takes the setting and revamps it into a mix of science-fiction and magic and putting the entire cast of ~8-years-older onto an entirely new planet. This time, the writers couldn't think of new ways to develop further the principle characters while they're in their post-teens, and so they had to create a set of new characters: 4 girls who found their way into Section Six of which Nanoha and co. head and train new military recruits, and are all named after cars.
Unlike A's, StrikerS doesn't start out with a bang... and everything inside StrikerS doesn't even have a bang. Training sessions took up almost the entire third of its run, using them to develop the new characters instead of developing them quicker and getting onto the plot sooner. The villains took a turn towards genericness and lost the sparkles of conflict that A's had with it's conflict. Even for 26 episodes, it had too many characters, each with a necessary story that integrates into a very boring plot. Simply put, A's set the bar too high for the Nanoha series, and StrikerS comes off as an average series in the franchise riding on the waves of popularity, and below average relative to everything else.
For some reason, most of the [memorable] 26-episode series I've seen has episode 17 as the most enjoyable episode (both Mai- series, Xenoglossia), and StrikerS makes no exception to this rule. As with previous series, it sets the bar a little too high for the rest of the series. But StrikerS is even worse than the aforementioned series - the fight scenes that were suppose to be intense weren't. Reasons are as follows: poor character development and thus poor sympathy from viewers, too many fights switching in and out, unemotional conflicts between factions, and too obvious predictability (and A's had none of these). A poor turn of events leads to a poor series, and StrikerS delivers just that.
Is the Nanoha franchise worthy of one more shot? After StrikerS, I'm very doubtful the next one can carry it on.

| Third (and most likely final) season of Nanoha, fans of the first two will love it.

| Since the first season of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha came out I was hooked on it. So of course when I heard there was a 3rd season I was overjoyed! This is what I think.
