| Well, it's a blatant fanservice anime. Does it need any introduction beyond that? Either it's bouncy, gravity-devoid breasts are enough to keep you interested, or the limited entertainment those stupid things offer will fail to grab you. That simple.
A lot of people have made a big stink over the mistreatment and supposed abuse of Nanako in this series. Trust me, it doesn't matter. Abuse or not, this series is still a pretty much entirely terrible affair that you'd be wise to avoid.

| Nanako has lots of potential, but then it has lots of lame things in it which make it not that worth after all. The only thing good is the ecchi part, and the rest of the story is not really that nice.
The story has unispired graphics which look prehestorically 1980's but rarely there are stint of good 3D animation limited to computer scenes. The sound has a good BGM, but the rest is not that good. One thing is that the seiyuu does not bring the anime up and the choice Seiyuu to bring up key characters are not that good as well.
The real story actually is the last episode, while the main story spans less than 10 mins per episode. The story is uninspired as well, but gives a true does of DNA and genetics.
The only character you will be interested is Nanako, and she could be one of the characters of Divergence eve. And that body design has to be the main star of the show since thats what you get best.
There is no value in this anime except that the tittle has some value, though that could not be said the same about the anime.
Its nie to see the ecchi part,s but then there are better ecchi anime's out there and really this really unworthy to keep

| I was thinking over and over, whether to download and watch it or ont, because the review here are rather dissapointing than encouraging :). Just watched it, and i would like to say, that mine will not be an exception.

| First of all, Nanako is barely a nurse. She is more of a maid. She does not do anything that is remotely nurse-like. This leads into something that's not perfectly related to this anime. An anime that show maids DOES NOT degrade women in my opinion. I think people have a strong perception that doing housework
makes you inferior. Here's a bit of a history lesson I learned from class. Back then, a lot of people lived a farming livestyle. Men would work on the field (the muscle work), while the women would do the housework. Back then, housework took "skill". They did not have vaccuum cleaners or dish washing
machines. Housework took hours and was very tedious, and definitely an important part of a household. With technological advance and the industrial revolution, housework became a bit easier (but with rising cleaniness standards), and women also started entering the workforce. This caused a devaluation of housework and people started to truly think housework is inferior. And many people still do today. When some people see housework, they get a little too sensitive and think it's a degradation of women. Personally I don't think it is. I think equality in gender is about choice, not outcome. Society should put less "invisible" restrictions on what is the right role for men and women. So if a person chooses to do housework, that's fine. If a person chooses to work, that's fine too. If the couple wants to divide the housework, that's even better.
Westerners often have trouble understanding Eastern culture. Western culutures stress individualism, while Eastern cultures values self-sacrifice. To serve someone you love (or someone you find worthy) is a noble task. Think of samurais who put their lives second. Thus, servitude does not make you inferior. It makes you noble and courageous. Anyways, my point is: many people interpret things in anime wrong due to cultural differences and social values. But none of this relly matters. Amazing Nurse Nanako really sucks.
Also, I read a few reviews where people had problems with Nanako being physically abused. This anime does indeed try to make it comedic but I found it slightly disturbing. A few reviews said this "abuse" also serves to degrade women. This point I strongly object to. Just think about how often a male character gets physically abused in a comedic way by females. The ratio must be 42141471 : 1. In fact, out of all the anime I've seen to date, this is the first AND ONLY anime where a female character is abused in a comedic way by a male. Every anime will tell you that violence towards females is wrong. In about every harem or romance, there's an aggressive girl in there somewhere. And a guy always gets hurt. Think Naru punch. Would you call this degradation of men? I don't! So therefore I don't think Nanako's abuse degrades anything. But I do admit Kyoji is a little creepy.
On the otherhand, the sheer crappiness of this show degrades humanity. The production values are nothing to brag about. The story is trash. The main flaw is with the sheer stupidity of events. For example, Kyoji throws a tank of liquid nitrogen at a monster and it magically explodes. The nitrogen freezes the monster but doesn't freeze humans for some reason. And then there is episode 3 or 4 with the Griffin robot. Debris started falling from the roof for no explicit reason. And in episode 2, a bear materialized out of nowhere to attack.
Nanako is really really annoying. I can understand how clumsiness and seem cute to some people. But Nanako seriously goes overboard. She's not clumsy in a "Oh it's no big deal" sort of way. It's more of a "OMG SHE'LL ACCIDENTALLY BURN MY HOUSE DOWN" sort of clumsiness. It's so excessive, it got on my nerves at episode 1. As a character, she is extremely 1 dimensional and trite. DR Kyoji is plain freaky. He strikes me as a psychopathic scientist. The few moments of his childhood didn't really make me feel any sympathy. It was more along the lines of "Ok...so that's why he's such a derranged person". Other characters serve absolutely no purpose in this anime. None! ZIP! NOTHING! Well maybe I lied. Satsuki is just another pair of boobs, but that doesn't count as a real purpose.
The story itself is really weak. I think it's about biochemical weapons or cloning or something. I don't know. The first 4 episodes wastes time with random events that happen around Nanako. The plot doesn't really kick in until episode 5. So basically eps 1-4 is largely filler material.
This show is also excessively ecchi. Be prepared to see Nanako less than fully clothed.
But if you value fan service, this probably isn't a good anime for that purpose. There are many BETTER anime out there that feature fan service AND something else such as a good story or whatever.

| Wow... this isn't a good anime and I definately don't suggest it if you are someone who enjoys storyline, character development, and logical thinking. I feel like the creators of this anime wanted to make this anime a little bit of everything. And if you were to look at what type of anime this is at the main page you should probably see the word everything. Now don't get me wrong here, it has everything but that doesn't mean they did any of it good. In fact they had this thing so broad that you couldn't really get a feel for it. The main character is horrible... plain and simple.

| A female maid with a bouncy personality bounces around while some other stuff happens. Some times a show takes a great plot and tacks on a tacky fan-service girl, but this show felt like they took a great fan-service girl and taked on a tacky plot.
I really think that basically sums up this series. It should be noted that I did not watch the final 2 episodes of this show so there is a chance that the story finally came together toward the end but if your like me you won't be willing to wait around long enough to find out. I like bouncy personalities as much as the next guy but if thats all I wanted from an anime I could just re-watch the first episode over and over.

| I'm not sure what the creators of this anime were thinking. It seems as though they put more time into inventing ridiculous ways to make Nanako's breasts bounce then working on developing a decent plot. Which leads me to believe that they wanted to make a hentai or something, but never got the green light. The result is an ecchi anime that really has little to offer.
Nanako is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen, and since she is pretty much the main character, that is a huge problem. I mean, she was just too stupid, plain and simple. She's a combination of all the stupid anime girls of the past. Normally those characters have some sort of redeeming quality, like Taeko from Ai Yori Aoshi who was very likable. Nanako is totally useless. Her voice is also very annoying which does little to endear her to viewers like me. Oh well.

| Well this was a real pain to watch. But as for starters: there's lots of wobbly boobies and tight panties! Wohooo!!
The story lacked integrity. For a 6-episode OVA you would think it would show something related in each episode. Did not happen here. There were events where this OVA showed its great potential to be something fantastic. Too bad those events weren't used as they should have been or happened only in the backgrounds or were just cut way too short.
And the thing which really makes you annoyed when watching this OVA is the comedy. The comedy is very lame and crappy. And there's lots of it. And the most frustrating thing is, that when you realize how interesting story is happening behind the scenes and you're only shown some messed-up comedy and screaming, stupid-looking maid.. How many different ways can you react?
Another meaningless thing is the ecchi-part. It doesn't get you aroused nor does it give any momentum to the humor. Meaningless. Totally. Wobbly, wobbly, uuh, aah!!
The story managed to offer few wacky theories in the area of genetic engineering (those parts were actually interesting to me. I guess mostly because I study something related), but that's about it. Nothing more original in this OVA. Also, the characters were plain as hell. Nanako's happy-happy-joy-joy act can't get you nowhere but to the land of endless annoyance.
The animation was nothing out of ordinary. There were some more spectacular scenes, but in overall it's just the same kind of stuff you've probably gotten to see everywhere. And I really disliked who the breasts were represented. The size was unnatural, nevertheless. The voice acting had some problems now and then. Right from the beginning you can notice that Nanako's voice actress doesn't sound very natural. Few nice pieces of string music among the selection of background music but that's it.
To sum it up somehow. The strong points of this OVA were the points it didn't use properly. They were present, but they were left in the background.
If you're into wobbly boobies and overly cute maids, you might get something out of this. For me, it's just a frustrating example how great ideas can be totally wasted. Sry.

| Can we say big boobies? Are they supposed to bounce that way? In general it was ok, and the story was interesting. I think this series should've been longer with the history of all the Nanakos.

| Fanservice lastig und storymäßig absolut einfallslos. Mitunter wird der Anime extrem lächerlich und man schüttelt eher den Kopf anstatt über den mittelmäßigen Humor zu lachen. Wer jedoch schlechte Story und blasse Charaktere nicht scheut und auf stets wackelnde Brüste steht ist hier absolut richtig...

| Well. Being a real fan of Fanservice, i thought i might had to check this one out. Suddenly, i watched some of it, and was not impressed. Also being a fan of Ecchies, i still didnt find this title attractive, that much. I would manage to watch a lot of it, but would not enjoy as to buy everything available for it. Like models and stuff. Well, I still didnt know the story, which really pissed me off. Somehow, the huge breasted nanako is the most important "subject" around. I thought this would like be a hentai or something, but it turned out NOT to be. theres a lot of fanservice here and there, many involving nanako, but hey, like every clothes the people in nanako wear seem to be too tight for their boddies. Actually this anime reminds me way too much of Burn up w! just look at the characters bodies and stuff. Only if it wasnt for those HUGE bouncing busts, only if they where, well, less than they are they will be just like Burn ups.

| I really don't like Amazing Nurse Nanako. First of all, the stupid story bounces around almost as Nanako's nanas if you catch my drift. Gratuitous fan service if you don't. Second, Nanako's voice is horribly, horribly annoying... it still gives me nightmares. The art isn't up to the usual OVA standard, and some of it is downright poor. There are a bunch of minor characters... that's all that is really established about them: they are there. Again, the story is much too inconsistant and in the end, not as smart as they probably thought it was. The only thing I can say about this show other than I'm glad it's over is 'ugh...'
(One little redeeming point is the very last scene. It is VERY possible that I misinterpreted it, but if it meant what I thought it did, it was a great ending)

| Amazing nurse Nanako is an odds and ends kind of anime. What I mean by this is that it’s not exactly the best, and it’s not exactly the worst either. This is one of those anime that is bearable yet interesting enough to it’s own standard.
Don’t expect too much from this. The overall story doesn’t really develops til around halfway through, so if you can bear past the first half, which seems kind of pointless and meaningless, it’s decent. Although Nananko’s breast seems to go against physics....I mean it’s one thing to be big and perky, but damn, her breasts are longitudinal (I think that’s right....) I can understand big and round, but those breasts are so elongated I’m amazed that they can still be so perked out like that, I mean shouldn’t they be pointing down or sagging? It’s almost like they are held up by an invisible bra the way they just float and dangle like that....geez. But despite everything there is somewhat of a romance between the doc and Nanako, just a bit subtle but not too subtle that one is blind to it, and not too much that it’s really worth any controversy over. This is the type of anime that if you have time or a rainy day, would probably be an alright series used to pass time.

| The whole plot and idea wanted me to watch this more and get more interested in the characters, but seeing Nanako doing some activity that makes her breasts bounce or some old perverts touching them it kills it really fast. And I don't mean this happens once or twice it happens nearly every 30 seconds! It's really hard for me to grade the anime since your kind of distracted by breasts bouncing up and down, but after my mind was numb from watching the show enough(I guess I got use to the breast shots).
The fan service kills it, but if your a otaku who LOVES and ENJOYS fan service then this is your anime. For those who need some kind of development or plot it's a nightmare.

| I think people need to look beyond the boobs okay ^_^ I'm a girl so therefore I watched it not for that aspect. Most people think "Nanako = boobs" which it really isn't. There is actually a really cute love story behind all the fanservice, and people need to look past that. I personally enjoyed it, and I'd definitely recommend it to sci-fi fans. If you just watch it for the fanservice you'll probably be disappointed anyway.
