| Being something of a fan of Ikkitousen, I was glad to hear that it was coming back for another round. Dragon Destiny does not disappoint in the least. New characters are introduced and new plot revelations made. I have to agree with several other members that this one is better than the original version.

| Never thought that I'd say this, but Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny is TOO plot oriented. Add in numerous fights that utilizes many screens of the traditional pantie shots and clothes rips, we don't have much character development. There are so many characters introduced and killed off, that it's hard to understand where they come from and what their purpose is. Also, it is too plot oriented because I suppose that it tries too hard to remain consistent with the 3 Kingdoms Stories.
Regardless, Dragon Destiny is much better than the first series. After all, the first season had these problems as well. However, Dragon Destiny actually has some sense of coherency. We have an overall plot (battle to become Ikkitousen), with multiple side plots occurring at the same time (Ryomou's Dragon Jade, etc). Nevertheless, the problem lies in execution, and often times I just felt uninterested in this series because things were progressing either too quickly or too slowly. For example, they spend too much emphasizing Ryuubi's gentle nature even in critical times. In other words, there isn't a good balance for character development and plot progression.
Finally, I would like to comment I enjoyed the senseless ecchi shots. Art and design is quite nice, and the amount of clothes ripping is more tasteful. Regardless, this series seems to be more of a way to sell hundreds of Ikkitousen nude PVC figures and resin kits, than any serious attempt to make a memorable anime. Otherwise, it's a decent anime for guys to watch semi-nude girls fighting in mini-skirts. Be warned: the ending is really cheesy.

| Is Ikkitousen DD better than the first 1? I have to say yes, but Ikkitousen 1 was really horrible, and being good here is not really a praise but a way of saying yes it worked.

| This is definitely a much better anime in all aspect compared to the first series like most other reviews said. I wasn't expecting this to be good at all since I was disappointed with the first series. However, I do recommend watching the first part though as most characters and the story background are explained more thoroughly in the it and that helps the audience to understand 'dragon destiny' better.

| the second season of the ikkitousen series completly improve, and vvery great, personally i dont like the first season its boring like hell and thats why i doubt to see dragon destiny but i blame myself for that, its a big mistake dont see this (well if you read the manga and see more than episode five like you know another reviewers you really undesrtand the deep of the story), good anime not the best but enjoyable, a tip, see the manga first it explain better than the anime then you will understand all

| Well, after watching the previous season, all I have to say is that the anime has had a BIG improvement. Unlike last season, we get to see all three schools view in the story which just adds to the drama and the viewers affection for them when they clash. Also the animation is top notch compared to the last season, but hey it's expected.
Dragon Destiny's story is far more serious than it's last and gives off a better explanation of things you need to know. It can be a bit hard to understand at times, but if you have half a brain and reading skills you can figure out what's happening and how epic it is.

| overall I would say this anime is way too hard to follow. It jumps from one viewpoint to another and you really have no history to explain why things are happening the way they are. If someone is into fan service though they have a lot of that and it almost seems like that is the real point of this anime to show lots of bouncing tits and undies.
